Phantom Anon

"You are quite talented as well, my dear," he replied, dipping the phantom one last time as the current song came to an end. He righted her, then bowed. "Thank you for the dance. Perhaps I should convince the other two gentlemen in the room to aid me in filling the floor. Goodness know my sister does not need to be keeping both of them to herself." He cast a glance their way when something caught his eye. The crimson haired woman and the one with bells both seemed to be staring in their direction. No...their gaze seemed to be focused on him, and looking rather baffled at that. He turned back to the phantom questioningly. "I seem to be earning stares normally reserved for the aftermath of one of my sister's pranks. Have I done something?" Aside from the overstuffed breast pocket, he didn't think there was anything off.

Lucky noticed the other redhead's lips move slightly, though what she said she could not catch. It was then followed by a smile and a polite curtsy. Lucky smiled sweetly and returned one of her own. The girl clearly did not want to be bothered. If that was the case, she would respect her wish and leave her be. For now.

The Phantom instinctively curtsied as he bowed. "It is I who should be thanking you." At the mention on the other men, the Phantom looked to them. Given the smirk on the dragon's face, she could only assume Nef was teasing the Princess. Beside him, Arron looked dashing in his foreign uniform. "I think that is a lovely idea. One cannot come to a ball and not dance. It is an impossibility."

She considered the Prince's next words carefully. "I had noticed that as well, Your Highness." A thought crossed her mind and her smile turned mischievous, "Perhaps they are entranced by your handsome looks." She playfully winked.

"I couldn't agree more," the prince chuckled. He was sure that the mechanic would not mind sharing a dance or two. He was not quite sure how Nefiriam was on the dance floor, however.

Astraeus paused when phantom commented on the possible reason for the stare. He raised an eyebrow, amusement showing in his grey eyes. "Handsome, you say? It appears rather they believe I have done something akin to sprouting a tail during our dance." He jokingly glanced over his shoulder to ensure that wasn't the case.

Her mouth quirked upwards at your comment. The Phantom glanced once more to the two observers, "I was about to suggest that it was possibly something with me, but they seem absolutely intent on you. They have not looked at me once. I wonder is there something wrong with your clothes? I see nothing wrong with them." Just to be sure, the ghostly girl walked around you, eying you from head to toe. Coming back to your front, she stopped and frowned. "There is nothing wrong with your apparel, Your Highness." She rested her chin on her hand, "It may be fruitful to simply ask them what the issue is."

"How scandalous for the princess to be stuffing things into strange mens clothes!" He mock gasps, a hand subconsciously drifting up to make sure the pocket square isn't in danger of slipping out, "Whatever shall your brother think?"

A smirk played on her lips as she set her hands on her hips. "Technically, you are a dragon. And despite the choice of accessories tonight, you and I both know I am no longer a princess. So...maybe he won't mind?" She glanced over at her brother who seemed distracted with chatting with the Phantom, as well as casting confused stares at the girl with the bells and the one with the red hair. "Or he didn't see. What he doesn't know won't hurt him~"

The prince nodded thoughtfully as the Phantom gave her own impression of the situation. She had a point. Just talking to them would be easier than guessing, especially if the two of them could find nothing out of place. "Very well," he conceded. "Do you wish to accompany me? Or shall I leave you to be swept off your feet by another gentleman?"

The smaller girl paused, hearing the conversation about stares and frowned. Stares? She wasn't staring, she couldn't stare. But...they probably hadn't noticed that yet. She froze, however as a realization hit her, and then groaned. The tips of her pointed ears slowly turned scarlet as she became increasingly more embarrassed. She'd been making faces again, hadn't she?

Solsi made her rounds tying pocket squares on people who did not previously have them. Well, maybe she got a couple people twice. For the men without pockets, they were now sporting a rather smart looking silk ascot. For the ladies, a flower around the wrist like a fabric corsage. In just a few simple folds she was able to capture the appearance of a rose. She tried her best to match the color of the handkerchiefs to the people's outfits. "There you are, thank you so much for coming!" she exclaimed to the woman in black. Hers was a strikingly bright red, just like her eyes and hair. "I think this really does something for you. Pocket Squares Today says these are all the rage." She stepped back a little. "My name is Solsi, by the way." The music rose and dipped around them, the band weaving notes together in a playful waltz to kick off the evening.

Hidden in plain sight, it seemed everyone overlooked a strange newcomer. She'd entered silently and drifted in like a shadow...who knows how long ago. For now, she watched from the sidelines as the friends and neighbors caught up on current events in each other's lives. A golden eye scanned the floor. Her expression seemed to harbor a thousand opinions, but let on to nothing. She put a finger to a glossed lip, thinking silently to herself. Yes, it had been a while since she'd been to a place like this, in this capacity. It was...almost like home.

Arron chuckled as he politely listened to the pair speak. "Maybe you could use it f-for charming a-a crying date?" he suggested to the dragon, "Also please tell me you told y-your brother about th-the St. Patrick's day incident. Th-That was way too funny." The jingling of bells caught his attention, but just for a moment. There were more sights to see about the ballroom.

Lucky giggled at the memory. "I kept that one to myself," she admitted. "Though knowing how much he adores that leprechaun, he would have suggested knighting you. Now, I think I've kept you guys long enough," she teasingly prodded each of the taller men in the direction of the other guests. "The night is young and there are ladies who need their feet swept onto the dance floor. You're not going to leave them all for my brother to take, are you?"

"C'mon! We're going to be late!"

"These sort of events are stupid. Why are we even going, child?"

A pair of young woman, both appropriately dressed for the event, arrived at the duo's Ball. One, white haired, wearing a black & white attire. The other is a blue haired young woman wearing a full navy dress. The ball had already started, with lovely music playing in the background and many faces mingling with each other. It was a very beautiful environment, but with who was running it, this was no suprise.

Kate's eyes twinkled at the sight. Meanwhile, the witch stared at her with an raised brow. "I guess you never change..."

"How can you not say this doesn't look fun!"

She shakes her head. "Unlike you, I wasn't raised in this sort of environment." Clara spotted a couple familiar faces but waited for the mage to get our of her little "phase" before she would mention it.

As he waited for the Phantom's reply, the prince noticed two newcomers. While he was unfamiliar with her pale haired companion, Astraeus's eyes flashed with recognition when he saw Kate. She seemed a little star-struck by the venue, in stark contrast to her companion who looked as if she wished to be anywhere but there. He chuckled and decided to greet them later.

He was about to turn his attention to the one with bells, for Solsi had ventured over to the crimson haired one when he was not looking, when another attendee caught his eye. How long she had been there, he wasn't sure. But that silver hair and those golden eyes seemed familiar...

There was a whirlwind of feet and chatter, and suddenly the belled woman had a piece of cloth tied to her wrist before she knew it. The culprit had already came and gone to another guest, leaving a very perplexed maiden tugging lightly at the fabric. It was on her ungloved hand, meaning she couldn't slide the covering over anymore to hide the thin scars on her skin. It would be rude to remove it, especially if it was a gift from one of the Royals here, so she would have to make due and hope no one really pointed it out.

She stashed the now unusable glove in a small pouch under the folds of her skirt, where if someone caught the glint, they would see a small blade hidden. Straightening the clothes as best she could, she would be seen fiddling with the 'corsage' idly, as if she really couldn't help fidgeting.

As a waltz began to play in the background, Rubys attention was drawn by one of her hosts. The girl seemed to be intent on using pocket squares to greet guests. Ruby smirked as she watched the girl bounce from guest to guest, before landing on herself for a moment, and quickly using origami to fashion a rose that matched Rubys eyes and hair. Taking the corsage, she politely thanked the girl. "Its a pleasure, Solsi." She chuckled at the comment about 'Pocket Squares Today' as she fidgeted with her corsage, afixing it to her wrist. "You may call me Ruby" Her words came out more formal than she'd have liked but she knew if she didn't specify, she'd get saddled with more nicknames. She despised nicknames. Her crimson eyes shifted to the young man she had been watching dance seemingly with himself just moments ago. "Is it..normal to dance with ghosts at these sort of functions?"
