Physical Description: The average height for a pernese woman, standing at about 5'6", Shalaera isn't an 'impressive' female, but she does have enough of a figure, namely in the hips, to make childbearing in the future no hard task for her. She also boasts a slightly-tanned complexion littered with freckles, as she spends quite a bit of her time outside with her little trio of horrors. She also has darkish brown hair (it’s lost some of it’s color from the sun), and very striking eyes – until one gets used to their pale color.
Personality: Hello there, Captain Mom. Having spent a good deal of her life handling little handfuls of flittery firelizardy goodness, Shala is able to wrangle most children (and tiny animals) relatively well. Albeit she does it in the way she knows best - and that's in raising firelizards, so maybe you
don't want her handling your kids. Shala is something close to 'obsessive' in her habits. Because of this, she has a tendancy to set her hopes and dreams up much higher than is feasible for her at any given time, thus often getting her hopes crushed -- most of the time she recovers quickly and positively though.
Socially, Shala makes friends and associates easily enough, able to handle people with a steady hand, given that her life’s work is a sort of ‘business’ in what she loves the most. She’s not afraid to strike up conversation, but also has slightly thick skin for those who may think her work is a waste.
Generally a pleasant person to be around, though she does seem to prefer the company of her ‘babies’ over other people at times.

History: The daughter of two non-riders who dabbled in Beastcraft, it was to a surprise when the young woman was searched. It was more surprising that no dragon ever seemed to be the right fit for Shalaera, the woman aging out after nearly 10 years on the sands. Initially disappointed, it was soon after this that Shalaera came across her first clutch of Firelizard eggs. While the parents were delightfully protective of their clutch, Shalaera took up one egg that had rolled away from their siblings as her own.
She was blessed with a sassy blue named Mele, who tried to fight everybody (including his new-mother). Two more eggs followed - one a green whom's egg she traded for, and the other a gold whom was gifted to her by an experienced Firelizard breeder who took her under his wing. His name was Chavelle. After 2 years together, disease took him, leaving Shalaera alone to recover from her grief. She has since devoted herself to continuing what he taught her.
Other: Shalaera owns 3 Firelizards. Mele is an angry blue full of sass and vinegar. Laena is a small, loving green who is a great little critter for children to be introduced to the species with (and is an affectionate bugger, clutching fairly often). Salia is an assertive gold who is
the boss despite being the baby.
