She yawned, leaning on her left arm. Kichona managed to bring the drink to her lips. She rubbed her eyes. "I feel-" She yawned again. "Tired."

She slowly sat up. Kichona sighed and began nibbling on a piece of food. "Suppose I can't regenerate my energy as quick as most people. What then?"
Her voice did not change. She kept her cheery and calm tone.

Kichona exhaled heavily. "Defrag is one of the two spells I can use. That one and blizzaga, that's it. I'm a failure, right?" She chuckled and drank a little more of the juice.

"Not at all. I started off with only one spell, and that is what I'm going to teach you." Clover scooted over to her, "Hold out your hand." When she did, Clover made a small flame in her hand and gave it to Kichona, "How does it make you feel?"

"What else? Can you feel the power of it?" Clover took Kichona's hands and made them separate, keeping the flame in one hand, "Make a flame in the other hand. Don't despair if you dn't get it right away."

Kichona held out her other hand and closed her eyes. A spark shot from her unoccupied hand then another but nothing else came out. She opened her eyes to see the sparks shooting out. "I cleared my mind and everything."
Frustration came over her. "Ever since I started training, I've only had the affinity for ice and my defensive ability."

"You are doing it wrong. Concentrate on the warmth of it, let it flow through your body." Clover kept up the encouraging words, "Only when you've mastered making it a flame, then time for control and mind clearing."

"Er, right."
Kichona cleared her throat and began to focus on the first fire. The sparks in his opposite hand became embers. She stayed focused on her one hand until a small flame licked the air. Then she concentrated on growing it.

Responding to Clover's orders, Kichona chucked the flame over her shoulder. She yawned again. "I'm really on the lowest part of my magical energy."

Kichona caught the sleeping bag. "Right, I'll try to scrounge up some energy."
Another flame flickered and flicked out of her hand. It was still small.
"There, that's the last of it I can muster up without fainting."
She yawned once more.
