Step 1: Sword. I guess Katana, specifically.

Oh, we're all vatcha? I must have misunderstood, I thought half of us were going to be playing heroes.
Can't do a coin since Plains grabbed a die. Suspecting we'll have sufficient sharp things. I'll have to sleep on this one.

I thought we were going to be a vatcha AND a hero. Besides, coins have different connotations than dice. They're not JUST instruments of fate.

Plainsfox is correct. A vatcha is your main character, who YOU are. The heroes are basically NPCs, in a way, but you control them too.
I'm not restricting your vatcha item based on similarity, only genre.
Also, one of the short stories in the beginning of the book had a coin vatcha. It made people explode!

Before this gets too far along, I'm going to bow out. I reviewed the system a little further and I'm just not really interested in playing an intelligent item that's supposed to treat people as pawns--it just doesn't sound like it's going to be a friendly game to me. Thank you for the initial invite though, Rain. I'm looking forward to Under Siege finally taking off.

Fair enough. I can see how it wouldn't be for everyone! Sorry to lose you, Kowsauni!
Though I might argue that how you treat them is entirely up to you ^-^''' One of the sample vatcha in the book is a Gypsy Caravan that simply granted 100% of its power to its wielder, and its sole motivation was to see itself destroyed.

Psychofish Oh, we're all vatcha? I must have misunderstood, I thought half of us were going to be playing heroes. Can't do a coin since Plains grabbed a die. Suspecting we'll have sufficient sharp things. I'll have to sleep on this one. Okay, the list from the book for sample items: Sword, Chair, Loveseat, Helmet, Ring, Staff, Luggage, Coin, Gauntlet/Glove, Earring, Police Box, Wagon, Crown, Withered Limb, Shield, Boots. The three sample vatcha created were: "The Ancient and Powerful Ring of Four Flames", a magic ring of fiery death; "Belt of Many Pockets", a belt of creation, earth, and darkness; and "Mathilda", a gypsy caravan with full power over air.
