Sleepy Slowpoke
I think the crafting system seems a bit too complicated and you guys should just to custom Items that you need to get approved by a Mod.

The reason we decided to implement a crafting system is to give everyone a chance of creating their own gadgets and gizmos, basically. If you don't have a craft in a certain area, you can still get custom items and weapons. But instead of going to the mods then spontaneously having a new item, a character has to seek out another that can make what they're looking for and forcing character interaction.

While I do agree with you that he's making it too complicated (but he won't listen to me), both of us are tired of the roleplay we see in every other guild, where there is almost nothing to do but train and fight. The crafting system opens up a unique area of missions available for characters that isn't always focused on fighting and helps support a more lifelike roleplaying world. It also allows for more variety in characters, especially with some who prefer to avoid fighting altogether.

If there's anything you don't understand about the system, let us know so that we can try to find a way to compromise.

Summed it up very nice. Indeed.
So how good was my Snake Summon thinggy?
PostPosted: Wed Aug 20, 2014 3:56 pm

Sleepy Slowpoke
Type of Summon :: → :: Snake
Sage :: → :: -
Name of Contractor :: → :: -
► Sub - Contractor :: → :: -
Summoning Lands :: → :: Ryūchi Cave; a legendary place that is equally as famous as Mount Myōboku and Shikkotsu Forest. It is the residence of the snakes — including the sacred White Snake Sage. Unlike the toads of Mount Myōboku, the snakes of Ryūchi Cave doesn't seem to have any affiliations with any Village.

|•| Summoning Sage(s) of Snake |•|

Name(s) :: → :: Hakuja Sennin [White Snake Sage]
Rank(s) :: → :: S+
Description(s) :: → :: This snake is extremely large — many times the size of a human with its massive body wrapped in thick coils. Along these coils are yellow circular bands. It wears a hat with two pointed edges and a red orb on top along with an orange headdress. It also wears a chain with a green orb around its neck, similar to the one worn by the Great Toad Sage. The Sage smokes as well, using a long cigarette holder when doing so.
Special Attributes :: → :: As a Sage, it is very knowledgeable in Senjutsu (Other things that can be placed here are such things like "All fire techniques used become, instead, a poisonous ash that burns as well as chokes", or "Can utilize combination techniques with other Sages without training", etc. Attributes are actual things that can effect combat, or roleplay, vs. just information about them. That should be listed in personality, which is part of the description)
Stats :: → ::

Jutsu :: → ::
(I would pick a couple of jutsu, say no more than ten, that it is best known for.)

|•| Available Summonings |•|

Name :: → :: White Snake (Make actual names. Each summon is a unique entity :3)
Rank(s) :: → :: D
Description(s) :: → :: A small white snake used to sneak into small cracks and either spy or gather information. (Also make sure to give all of the snakes a more in depth physical description, as well as descriptions of the personality. Just remember, MORE IS MORE xD)
Special Attributes :: → :: (Even this tiny guy has something. Think something like "Can utilize 5 chakra per post to completely hide all traces of chakra and life sense. All movements are silenced during this time")
Stats :: → ::

Jutsu :: → ::
(Again, Just a few, such as about 3 or 4. This can also include some sensor techniques, as well)

Name :: → :: Dual Headed Snake
Rank(s) :: → :: C
Description(s) :: → :: A double-headed, snake-like creature
Special Attributes :: → :: Can form smaller snakes from its Mouth (Good start, but surely there is something more? Look at above notes for ideas. Be creative here, with each snake being distinct, with an actual NAME, like "OOGO" or something, because each summon is a purely unique creature within the summoning family.)
Stats :: → ::

Jutsu :: → ::
• Snake Steel Net
After using the Summoning: Dual-Headed Snakes, snakes emerge from the summoned snakes mouths in order of two's and from those ones others are summoned through the mouths in a continuous order in an attempt to capture their target. As the snakes continue to multiply, they become smaller and smaller the farther they are from the epicenter of this technique.
(Hell yeah! That's more like it, but remember to have a rank to the techniques you make. They are E, which are Academy techniques, D, Genin, C, Chunin, B, Jonin, A, Konin, and S, Sanin. Basically. But yeah, basically. Look at our jutsu lists!)

Name :: → :: Three Giant Snakes (Name)
Rank(s) :: → :: B
Description(s) :: → :: The snakes are brown in color with darker tomoe-like patches all over their bodies. They tower over structures including the boundary walls of villages. Each snake wore a red scarf around the base of their heads. In the anime, these snakes are merged together towards their tails.
Special Attributes :: → :: as a Boa Constrictor, these Snakes can wrap around their target(s) and squeeze until the target can't move anymore. (That's a good point, but we'll have to make rules for grappling, such as how to break, how much damage it does, the speed of the attack, etc)
Stats :: → ::

Jutsu :: → ::
• Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu

Name :: → :: Aoda
Rank(s) :: → :: A
Description(s) :: → :: Aoda is a large blue snake with light green eyes and is easily comparable in size to the largest of summons. Not much is known about Aoda's background. In stark contrast to Manda, a snake of similar size to it, Aoda seems to be very mild mannered and respectful to its summoner, as shown when it addresses him/her with the "-sama" suffix and dutifully follows all his orders without needing to be controlled. Aoda also would always ask how he could be of service the instant he is summoned.
Special Attributes :: → :: As a snake, Aoda is extremely fast and nimble, successfully moving through an entire army while evading all of their attacks. And like many snakes, Aoda possesses large infrared-sensitive receptors on its snout. (Same info as above)
Stats :: → ::

Jutsu :: → ::
• infrared-sensitive receptors (Same as Above)

Name :: → :: Manda
Rank(s) :: → :: S
Description(s) :: → :: Manda was the largest snake in the world. He easily towered over buildings, trees, and large rock formations. Due to his length, he was even larger than Gamabunta and Katsuyu, and was easily able to coil around Katsuyu, having additional length behind him. Additionally, he could open his jaws wide enough to swallow Gamabunta whole.

He was colored purple, and had black rings running down intervals on his body. He had massive fangs, though they were arranged in a way similar to that of a constrictor snake instead of a viper or other venomous snake species, presumably carrying venom in them from the way they were designed, and green eyes. He also had four horn-like protrusions on his head.

Manda was very snobbish and proud, believing himself superior to everyone. He apparently only served his summoner because he could not successfully defeat him, as most would express concern that Manda would turn on the summoner if he knew they couldn't perform techniques. Even in this instance, he complained about the conditions he was summoned into, and demanded that he be given a hundred human sacrifices as compensation for his help.
Special Attributes :: → :: He was extremely fast, able to shed his skin, and his body was sturdy enough to withstand massive explosions, and remain intact, while providing a relatively safe shelter for anyone to hide inside his mouth. Overall, Manda was feared as the "strongest colossal serpent" (最強の蟒蛇, Saikyō no Uwahebi).
Stats :: → ::

Jutsu :: → ::
• infrared-sensitive receptors
• Orochimaru-Style Body Replacement Technique (??? What technique? Go through our lists :3)

Alright. SO! I made bolded notes at the end of each area that needed touching up. There are some that I didn't touch on, but that's more because I've already said what I had to say above. This guild is looking for rich detail in everything, and remember that there will be Chakra/Stamina costs for every technique, as well as pools for the summons as we go along. Just thought I'd tell you, in case you didn't know :3 Anyway, long way to go, but it's a start, and we always have to start somewhere!

Syn reporting for duty!!!
Although I'll have you all know I did just start my new job so I'm on when I can be! But other than that I'm here to help!

If you could put your vote in the thread's poll, that'd be great. There's information on the question the poll is asking in the first post of the thread, and any feedback concerning your opinion on the topic would be great. The topic of the poll will be changing on Friday.

Also, if you could possibly put together a list of lower ranked, maybe up to C-rank, missions that'd be great. If you do it, either send it to me or post it here and quote Lanny or I.

You can also help with the Summons if you want. Lanny posted a list of them a couple posts ago, and I can have him send you the layout if you want to do it.

So I really like to make NPC's in my spare time and if any of you guys wish me to make some to be incorporated into the guild, please just let me know! I really like making them and I can usually find decent pictures to go with the respective NPC. Just get back to me guys!

Don't jump the gun on me, Lanny. One subject at a time. Discussion for crafting will come eventually. Right now is technology, which I still haven't gotten any opinions on.

I honestly think that since this is kind of a post apocalyptic Naruto we shouldn't have very many technologies like electricity based. More like a industrial age or brought back even further to feudal Japan... just an opinion of mine to try and make things more difficult and interesting for us. Let me know what you think and if it's not too much to ask could I become an admin or mod, whatever you want to call it so I can try to help out more and see what needs to be done, I've almost completed the C Ranked missions and would like something else to work on in the meantime, but I'll make sure that you guys can edit what you need to when it comes to the missions. But give me a list of what still needs to be done and I'll try and work on what I can!

They are Ranked C due to their larger builds and how much damage they can receive before they are killed. Your Kage will appoint this mission if he or she hears of the danger animal attacking nearby towns. Be weary, an animal on a rampage is a savage beast ready to fight for it's life so caution is advised.

Title: The Hunt For Red Octkobra

Red Oktobra is the size of a Rank B summon and is able to perform Rank C Katon Ninjutsu and up to C Rank Genjutsu. Be careful for this Snake is very Intelligent giving it's skill for reflex time and strategy thinking a significant advantage. You will not see him coming because over the years their red skin could always be seen from afar so they adapted and can become invisible until right before the moment they strike.
Solo or Team Initiated: Team is highly advised!
Minimum Amount of Posts: None; when the Red Octkobra is destroyed or taken into custody and later used as a Snake Summon, the mission will be over.
Side Note:

Title: Learn A Foreign Jutsu
Rank: C
Information:
By asking permission from your Kage, travel to a different village and ask to learn a jutsu or two that they would normally use in their village. Be careful though, if you delve too deeply into another village's jutsu out in the open, then you just may attract too much attention to yourself and be listed in their bingo book. Jutsu are secret formulas passed down over time, some villages don't mind lending out one or two but when you go above and beyond then you're testing your boundaries.
Solo or Team Initiated: Solo
Minimum Amount of Posts: None; learn a jutsu.
Side Note:

Copyright for these specific missions go to Synister Bombardment

Thank you to everyone who voted in the last poll. We have decided to have less technology than the current Naruto world to start with, but throughout the story, there will be opportunities to rediscover technology thought to be lost. Most electronics will no longer work, so people will have to find different ways to do things.

The next poll has been put up. This one is about classes. I need more feedback this time around, because this affects characters directly, to a huge degree. Look at the first post in the thread for more information, and questions that need answered.

I personally liked the Dual Class at Genin, it makes it easier to have a variety of move sets when you start out and at Chunin you finely tune those techniques. Then when we get to Jounin, when we Prestige into the three categories that will be the basis to the remaining individualistic ideas for when our RPC's get to Jounin rank. A Dual Prestige thing sounds a little too overpowering, maybe someone can put that as a Personal attribute or something!
PostPosted: Sun Aug 24, 2014 9:14 am

Personally, when looking at prestige, it should be broken down into a couple of areas. Either that, or if I may make a suggestions, dial the second prestige way the ******** up there, similar to what Yo-Ko and I had figured in SN when putzing with the idea. Like... four to five times the effort for this next class gain. It provides incentives for people who "top" out.

I think that a Duel Class at Genin and a Prestige at Jounin would be awesome, it would be awesome for people to have to survive and hone their craft.
