Full Size FTW Name: Kaitaia Availability? Full-Time What Position? Colour only. I can do edits, but I don't know if my shading is up to par for the SFS templates. Do you have Instant Messenger? Yes, Skype, MSN and AIM. Are you open to being considered for other positions? Sure. Have you worked in other shops on Gaia or the B/C? If so, which ones? I currently work at Soul Guardians and I sometimes do customs and guest work for the mini shop puchi pet. I worked most extensively at Wayward Children Pound and various other shops such as Whimsicals and Blathanna. Can you list three references to either past Gaian employers, or people who will vouch for your behavior? Rabid-White-Mongoose, Citrus Cupcake, one over three. Why do you want to join SFS? Name: NovaCracker Availability? Semi-Quarterly to Bi-Annually depending on RL. What Position? Willing to do Edits! Do you have Instant Messenger? Yes. It's on and gathers dust daily. Are you open to being considered for other positions? Yep. Have you worked in other shops on Gaia or the B/C? If so, which ones? Several; most I forgot unfortuanately or prefer not to list. Most recent was in Limonium. Can you list three references to either past Gaian employers, or people who will vouch for your behavior? Das Tor, Redbud-Tree, Kitsune Mistress Nyoko Why do you want to join SFS? Honestly? After all the dramatic crap going on? I want to help in any way I can. I enjoy colouring, even if my focus often wanders off. I /do/ enjoy people even if it doesn't always seem so (Maybe a masochist?) and I'd like something fun and less stressful to do in my free time. SfS seems open minded and fair to people in regards to skill and ability-- in regards to considering not everyone has a steady hand, or that someone might have monoscopic vision instead of the standard binocular-- both something that can be difficult to work around in colouring. I feel safe in SfS too. It's a place I'd like to help encourage and foster to remain safe.
Plus, hey, fun. Gotta be honest and blunt, yanno? Please post at least two samples using the template provided!Example 1 Example 2
Name: Azael_Rose Availability? Semi-Quarterly or Bi-Annually What Position? Color Only Do you have Instant Messenger? Yes, AIM and Skype but I rarely use either. Are you open to being considered for other positions? Yes Have you worked in other shops on Gaia or the B/C? If so, which ones? Yes. Previously; full-time Colorist and (current) owner of Finders Keepers, part-time colorist at Pygmy Mountain, Stallions of the Cimarron and Unwanted Rejects. Can you list three references to either past Gaian employers, or people who will vouch for your behavior? I've just recently returned to Gaia and I haven't quite reconnected with everyone so I honestly don't have any references at the moment. I am reinventing myself online (as well as offline) so I won't fall behind or become overwhelmed. I don't believe in drama or gossip. Here's to a fresh start! Why do you want to join SFS? I love the in-depth atmosphere of the shop, and I'd love to be a part of it in some small way. I also want the opportunity to practice my coloring. Hey guys!
First off, so sorry about the hold up on this judging and moving on to Round Two. We had some schedule conflicts, but sure enough, we're ready to move on to the next stage of hiring!
For those who entered, we want to thank you for your interest. We appreciate all your hard work, and hope that you'll keep on arting! We'll be sure to hire again, and would love to see repeat entrants. Unfortunately, though, we did have to do some picking and choosing on who moves on.
Thanks and don't give up hope! I know this isn't the only time we'll be hiring for colorist positions. :3
Those whom we would like to move on to Round Two are as follows:
We do want to give a friendly reminder that the black lines should be colored in, too. They shouldn't remain black, so if you all could remember to do so in Round Two, that would be great.
For Round Two, you'll all have a week to color us 2-3 babies. We're mixing and matching what you've colored, and other people have colored, and would love to see 2-3 offspring.
Please post your babies, along with the mother and father, in this thread before 4:30pm MST on November 3rd. Please only post finalized works, as we do not want people to go back and edit things in. Pretend this is a real breeding, and make sure what you give us is finalized.
Child 1:One (Though, I originally had it look like this. My first thought was that some of the dashes and streaks from the father went on to become alternating flecks of color variations in the mane and tail. It made the babe look far too dark and I settled with a more solid color to even it out a bit.) Child 2:Two Child 3:Three
Other Notes: How'd you know my favorite color is green?! X3
Played with markings a little, mixing up how each parent's marking displayed. And then sat on things to ensure I was actually satisfied with the final work.
Side notes: I've been sick (and my son too) the past week, but I did manage these two. I have a third planned if it's needed. I felt the darker 'black' lines around the owls' eyes really helped them to pop and stand out with the color scheme - I hope it's alright that I did that.
Thank you for the opportunity, it's been fun coloring these lil' guys. :3
Alternate baby This was my first attempt at the third baby. I actually had all of mine coloured the first day, but I wasn't so pleased with this one. So I sat on them and redid it. Figured I'd show this one anyway.
