Power Description: Has an affinity with an Asp.
Weakness: The spiritual bond does not give snake abilities to Lotus, but she can control only her snake. Since her snake is venomous, keeping an eye on him is a chore in itself so he won't bite anyone and the normal things snakes are weak to, cold etc.

Lotus had decided to go get some ingrediants for some masks and lotions she was going to make, having run out and needing them for a client and if that client didn't have the stuff she wanted she could get a little upset and she wasn't wanting that so time for her to do some work outside the 'spa' her sister and herself ran from outside the tree and this was something she truly had to get in touch with the Chef about, Lotus had almost gotten everything she had come out for but to finish off what she needed she needed aloe and she couldn't find it, had her skills in locating such easy herbs as aloe really gone down hill since she left Equestria? Lotus sighed and walked over to a tree and sat down, crossing her legs she took a deep breath in and started to meditate a little, try and clear her head and properly calm herself and her head and start again.

"Whatcha looking for?" A voice popped up inside her mind, no more then ten minutes after she sat down "you are looking rather losssst and a little pathetic, maybe I can help" the voice spoke again, opening an eye she looked around to see who was talking to her but saw no one so carried on meditating only to hear the voice again "alright, sssseriously, do I HAVE to bite you or ssssomething to get your attention? Look up" the voice said again as Lotus opened her eyes and looked up "a...are you talking to me?" She asked, looking up at the snake in the tree "wait...you can't be! Snakes can't talk!" She said as she started to back away, this was some sort of magic right? She hadn't been here very long and didn't know the ways of this place yet but who says magic couldn't exist here? She didn't know but she did know snakes can't talk.

The asp sighed and slithered down the tree and slithered after her "don't be afraid! I am friendly, I sssswear!" he called out to her, the voice faintly sounding in her mind, it would have been louder if she wasn't running for her life "l...leave me alone!" She called as she looked back, snake still following her, one thing she had never been fond of it was reptiles, she even had a bit of a phobia towards Gummy, sure he was a cute toothless alligator but still, to her, he was also still a tad scary and this snake could TALK, scarier still! Not watching where she was going she ended up tripping over a rock and landing straight into a lake. Swimming to the topp sne squirted water out of her mouth and looked around, wondering if she should stay in the water or not but not seeing the snake around she slowly swam to the side and climbed out.

"Hi, you alright?" The snake asked, reaching her and looking up at her and Lotus, being too tired to even care anymore, fell to her knees and sighed "go on, if you want to kill me then do it fast and quick, I really can't be bothered running from you anymore "she said as she closed her eyes and just waited to die but instead the snake shook his head "you really don't get what 'friendly' meanssss do you? I am not here to do anything to you except help you, will you let me help you find what you are looking for?" Lotus opened her eyes and blinked at the snake "y...you want to HELP me?" She asked, having the snake nod once again "yes, like I said before but you were too busy thinking I was going to kill you. Now, what is it you are looking for?"

Lotus wasn't sure what to make of this, how could she understand a snake? She reached out a hand gingerly and touched the snakes head and pulled her hand quickly away "can I trust you?" She asked, knowing that for all she knew the snake could be lying to her "you will have to figure hat out on your own but come, lets go find the plant you want" he said as he started slithering away which just made Lotus get up and run to catch up with him "a...alright, then, I am looking for an aloe vera plant, do you know where that is? Do you even know what that is?" The snake nodded "yesss, pleassse, thissss way" he said as he started towards the woods. Lotus wasn't sure what to think, why is she following a snake? Should she? Looking around she saw they were heading for the woods, hoping her last moments wouldn't be in such a dark place she silently prayed to the Gods and hoped the snake would be trustworthy "how deep into the woods?" She asked as the snake kept going "it issss growing in a clearing, the ssssun makes the clearing beautiful and ssssunny and sssso there sssshould sssstill hopefully be ssssome there" he said carrying on.

After a while they arrived at the clearing, looking around he was right, the clearing was beautifully lit up by the sun and noticing a aloe vera planet just a few feet away she ran over and cut herself off as much as she could and then turned to the snake after placing it in her bag with the rest of it "thank you, I could have never found it without you" she said as she held her arm out "we, my sister and I, are wishing and hoping, we can open a spa in the Great Tree, would you like to come and help us out? If your skills in finding plants that we need is like what you showed us today then we could really use your help" she said as the snake slithered over and up her arm "I guessss I could, you being of that tree have interessssted me for a while now, I would be happy to help you" he said as he wraped himself around the females neck "what issss your name?" He asked the female "I am Lotus, you are?" She asked curiously "I don't have a name, perhapssss you would like to give me one" Lotus thought for a moment and then looked at him "how about Asmodeus?" She asked the snake nodded "yesss, that will do nicely, I like the ssssound of that, thank you" he said as he settled himself comfortably on Lotus's shoulders as they started to make their way out of the woods and back towards the Great Tree.

Power Description: Through various relaxation techniques, such as meditation or sharing a cup of calming tea, she can connect to the spirits of the world and ask about doubts she, or others, may have on their mind. She is then answered with a sort of inherent feeling about the outcome.
(lol, if you guys can come up with a more-concise way to word this, have at it XD)
Weakness: Connecting with the spirits requires a combination of calmness and physical energy; the less relaxed she is, the more energy it takes at an exponential scale. The feelings she gets are stronger or weaker depending on this calmness, the urgency of the question, and whom the question is about. Generally, stronger feelings are accounted with questions referring to herself or the faunies in general.
With regard to questions specifically about others, it is best that they be present when she asks, and the feeling's strength depends on a combination of her and their feelings (urgency, calmness, ex) as well.
These feelings she gets are only feelings and have the potential to be incorrect. The less strength in the feeling, the more likely that it could be wrong.

Standing in front of the inner circle, the princess rested her hand on her hip, her eyes staring into theirs momentarily before breaking and waiting for the ceremony to occur. Honestly, she had been very apprehensive at the very idea of swearing her allegiance to anyone; doing so, she felt, would be a final admission of her lost power. As time passed though, she felt herself growing more at ease with this and accepting her new position. Even if she was no longer head of all, her faunies still looked to her for guidance and showed her loyalty, and what more could she ask for as a guest in a new land?

Before reaching her decision, she had left herself to her thoughts in her room, searching herself to find not just if it would be good for her subjects, but if it was something she felt comfortable with. It was. She felt like it was something she needed to, must, do. Like this she searched her room, finding a small stick in her "pouch" from that horrid Valentine's night. Blinking and blushing lightly, she also noticed two small, golden rings that the princess hadn't noticed previously. Quickly she removed them and moved to find a small, ornate box from Esqueria and placed them inside, then placing it inside of the cabinet next to her tea leaves, deciding she would deal with that distraction at a later time.

She had sought out Vanya, the seer, to hand her branch to. It was a move made because she had conversed with her once before, and was still uncomfortable with the idea of talking with most of the circle.

Yet here she stood in front of this circle, pledging her allegiance, awaiting her fate. A small bead of sweat rolled down the back of her neck as she was handed the ceremonial bowl, her eyes closing as she breathed deeply and cleared her mind before drinking its waters. This feeling.... it was so unlike anything she had experienced in many, many years. The magic was warm as it ran with the fluid, collecting in mass in her stomach before fading into her hands and hooves. Opening her eyes, she awaited the announcement of which power she had been blessed with.

Shaman.

A foreign term to the princess, but the others seemed pleased, particularly the seer whom she had trusted with her fate. Apparently, it was she whom would guide her about this new power. Smiling ever so lightly, Celestia nodded once, a feeling in her heart that only something truly exceptional could come from this.

Chosen Power Name: ???????
Power Description: Opal is bonded with Cuttlefish. She can change the color, pattern and even shape of her skin. She can talk to small cuttlefish. Larger ones are more of a problem. When angry, she'll let off the light patterns cuttlefish do when threatened.
Weakness: Changing anything will cause her pain. The greater the shift, the greater the pain. So she tries not to do it at all. In the beginning, she won't understand the chatter she hears in her head. It will be a jabber here, a jabber there. Slowly, with enough practice, she will be able to carry on short conversations. Anything more or longer will give her a massive headache/make her mentally exhausted. ((I.e. She sleeps after too much talking to fishy)). The light patterns happen on their own. She gets angry and starts lighting up like a Christmas tree. The madder she is, the brighter she shines.

Chosen Power Name: Lion
Power Description: Tyra has joined herself with a lion, giving her the ability of shiting herself into one.
Weakness: While Tyra is able to shift into the form of a lion, she is unable to partially shift. It's one way or the other. No in between. She's also unable to shift one moment and shift the next. There is a time period she has to wait between the two. Tyra has to wait a period of 4 hours before shifting from one form to the other. At the minimum. At the start, she'll have a longer wait time between. She will be unable to shift during the brightest hours of the day, or if someone were to cast an extremely bright light around her. It will force her out of her lion form, as Lions are primarily nocturnal felines.

Having bonded with a lion, she will require raw meat rather than the cooked kind, taking on several of the feline traits. While in lion form, Tyra will still be female, though she will sport the mane of a male lion. Thanks to this mane, Tyra will overheat if she attempts to overdo anything. While she will have the power and abilities of a lion, she won't be able to tell the difference between ally and enemy. She'll be entirely unaware of this until she is told of it.

Tyra will feel pain as she shifts, bones breaking and reforming, fur growing or falling out as the shift calls for. The pain is not residual, but it will make her think twice before abusing it to simply get something she wants. Each change will take concentration and willpower to bring the inner lion or pae out of her. The latter will prove to be the more challenging of the two.

Power Description: Cloud Chaser can imbue the semblance of malevolent sentience into roots, using them to attack enemies.
Weakness: The use of this ability requires the presence of plants. The roots themselves are easily destroyed by fire.

Power Description: Terran can travel through the hollows of trees, but only at night.
Weakness: This ability works only at night. He is also limited to using it twice: to get somewhere and then back to where he started (if he chooses). He can't go somewhere and then to a new place in the same evening. He has to spend the whole day sleeping to recover.

Terran twirled a small branch between his two hands, staring at the inscription on it. His name, he had carved it into that branch himself. In his hands was a serious commitment to his people. Terran took a deep breath as he tossed the branch into the ceremonial fire pit. He looked over at his brother, Takis, as he did so and smiled proudly at the other faun. Terran was admittedly jealous of his brothers' success being part of Rais' inner circle. It was part of the reason Terran was here, he wanted to do his part and desperately wanted to feel that connection.

His eyes returned to the fire as they finished consuming the branch, the male was oddly quiet, perhaps it had something to do with the events of the maze not so long ago. The chieftain moved to the ashes and poured them into the pool and Terran watched him with the most respect, wondering if he would ever be worthy of joining the chieftain's inner circle as well. Terran watched the ashes come together with the dew, he knew it was going to have to drink that stuff. His mouth felt dry just thinking about it, but this was how he was to connect with the earth, with his people.

Finally, it was time for him to drink from the cup. Terran stared at the essence for a time, savoring the moment. He then lifted the cup to his mouth and drank, it felt cool and warm all at the same time, and he felt like it moved through his body like a vine moving up a tree. Terran wasn't sure when he had shut his eyes, but he now found himself opening them to the sound of the chieftain's voice. "Gatekeeper." Terran smiled, like his father. "Thank you," he said with a bow of his head as he searched out Captain Gulliver from the gathered inner circle.

Chosen Power Name: In the Dog House.... (Not really)
Power Description: Shift into a "Wild Dog" (it's actually just a generic mutt that happens to have the Wild Dog coat pattern. How else will you know it's Mo?!) - When Mo feels it necessary, he can shift into a full feral Wild Dog and roam the forest in full canine form.
When out of the Wild Dog shift, he can still rely upon heightened senses, hearing and smell, to detect strange sounds or smells that any normal Pae'il might have an issue noticing.
Weakness: Bark. Wuff Wuff. Yip! Yip Y-YIP!! <3 Need I say more? He doesn't have thumbs anymore, so how can he grip his axe?! And Talking?! Forget that. He can still understand what others are saying and will most of the time react accordingly to get his response back, but sometimes there is also the occasional- SQUIRREL!!!!
