I do my research. Even for rps. I'm just like that. So i definitely did research on psychic abilities and whatnot
&& on a side note- no- the dont actually have to have any connection with one another. Unless the roleplayer chooses to anyway

Ok- on to the list of people and abilities.
Onmyōdō- is a form of divination and is well know for its strong astronomy roots. Has a mixture of natural science and spiritual abilities.
People who practice this are called Onmyoji, They can break curses, divine the future, and summon shikigami, spirits/demons that they can control. Onmyōji were specialists in magic and divination. Their responsibilities ranged from tasks such as keeping track of the calendar, to mystical duties such as divination and protecting people from evil spirits. They could divine auspicious or harmful influences in the earth. It is said that an onmyōji could also summon and control shikigami, spirits and demons that are bound to the user by a contract.

Mediums - very similiar to omnyoji, Can communicate with the dead like they are another human being; able to sense the presence of spirits. They can guide dead soul towards the light. Some mediums are well known for their Psychometry ability- where they can touch and object or person and know its story/past/history or whatever.

Miko - Shrine maidens- those who can purify the land/people of evil spirits. Can created wards/barriers. Miko powers are for defense, unlike onmyodo which is on the offensive side.

Buddhist Monks - Slightly similar to mikos they are arm with a varity of arsenal to fiend off spirits and ghost. They can repel, bind, and exorcise demons and possessed people, by the use of ofuda and mantra (prayers). offense and defense kind of person and very reliable. The kind of person you want in an actual ghost hunt,

Then we have people with Psychokinesis. Basically telekinesis. Telepathy is also a very useful ability, as well as Astral projection (out of body experience)

My most favorite ability, aside from onmyodo- is postcognitive dreams and clairvoyance. Its like onmyodo but without all the instrument that onmyoji uses. This is used to refer to the ability to gain information about an object, person, location or physical event through means other than the known human senses, a form of extra-sensory perception. Like through dreams, visions, hallucination or whatever.

Not getting into details too much- Ill save that for the rp.

So! I have already started working on the way this will start. Not everyone's post will start off exactly the same, though they will be quite similar. As of this moment, Asche is the only one who has been told his starting point. Therefore, Hunter - if you get online before I wake up, please give me some feedback on it before I bother the other two and you again. I am trying to be slightly generic but at the same time incorporate things about your characters. Hopefully, it will work.

I am mostly doing this so we don't have any confusion about who is escaping from what problem in whichever room. It really makes my life easier. ^-^

Anyway, I'm calling it a night (at nearly six am). Hopefully this process won't take too long. I'm going to give it until tomorrow night - er, well, really tonight - before I take the last character. I may start us off then, but I doubt it. So it may be sometime Thursday or Friday before we start.
