Kamin tilted his head, sitting carefully on the bench, though he didn't sit too closely to her as to impede her movements. "It is clear to me that neither of us enjoy our particular lot in life; I have no doubt there are those who would seek your hand for power or manipulation, while if my father, if he has his way, will have me reading scrolls from the last dynasty for the next twenty years, if possible. I have a suspicion that not all of his contacts are.... tolerable, to put it lightly," he said quietly.

She don't look up from her work as she listened to him knowing what he said was true "and do you know of a way to make us both meet better fates then way was laid out from birth?" she asked still working not wanting to mess up or to let her work even seem to be there but for it to look made that way as she did with his cape. The reason it took so long

Kamin sighed. "At the moment, no... though who says that fate is always laid out for us from birth other than most of the priests who, in my opinion, have their heads shoved so far up their asses that they could eat their food twice with interest," he muttered. He honestly respected the priests, but for some reason.... he suspected they didn't know anywhere near as much as they claimed to.

Kamin snorted. "Only because people think that women are weaker than men; in my opinion, anyone can pick up a knife and use it, regardless of what sex they are," he muttered. "Besides... what would happen if something happened to both the Pharaoh and you? It'd probably rip the kingdom apart from within, considering I can think of several priests who'd leap, in more ways than one, to take the throne," he said softly. He felt a odd burning in his abdomen, as he knew he didn't intend harm to come to Chione.

any priest would probably after all its power, besides im urged to marry since it would probably be harder for me and a husband to be killed and not only one"she said looking at him "though it would be nice to not marry anyone. Though it must be done"

Kamin sighed, but remained silent for a moment. "What if you found someone you cared about, someone who was willing to protect you when necessary. Besides... if the usual method of one person waiting in one room while the other is harmed is used, then if both were able to defend themselves and watch one anothers' backs at the same time, the threat would be decreased," he said softly, thinking as he spoke.

"and find a guy that will talk to me normally and then want to protect me? i doubt that greatly" she said and returned to fixing his vest "besides hardly talk with any on but my mothers so it would b hard to meet with some one a lot and talk with them and get to know him"
