During the Victorian era it was common for a family to take a photo of a family member after they had died. They would then keep these postmortem photographs in an album these albums were called books of the dead. It was especially common for families to take photos of children who had died. Today we would consider this to be morbid but back in Victorian times photography was a new technology and the child mortality rate was very high often the postmortem photograph might be the only picture ever taken of the child. So even though it is kinda creepy it is also kind of sad don't you think?

The knife is the most basic tool in our society today aside from hammers. To this day, we still do not fully understand how they work.

The roar that we hear when we place a seashell next to our ear is not the ocean, but rather the sound of blood surging through the veins in the ear. Any cup-shaped object placed over the ear produces the same effect.

As long as I don't bring "those kind of facts" I guess nobody would be annoyed, eh?
A mosquito flaps its wings for at minimum 600 times per second when flying.
