Kurai's attention went instently to the flare. If fire of any kind is to stay burning and surfaced on water, it's due to falmabilty to oil. Oil's dencenty is lower than water, causing it to float. So if it floats, waves can carry it. And if waves are caused by wind, then I could try to use Aero move the wave direction to move the flare away. After done thinking to himself, he begains to cast a Aero spell.

Eric looked to the sides of the ship at the water, he continued to hum, he saw something swimming around them
"I think we have company" he said

Another mermaid was swimming around the water, and was smart enough to stick to the rowboat as it paddled closer to the bay. The mermaid came up from the water, and stuck it's hand on the boat, calming it, and keeping it in place. "Hello, do you sing as well as hum?" The mermaid asked, her eyes directly on Eric, and ignoring the rest of the men in the rowboat, for now, at least.
No matter how hard Chase tried to row, the boat went no where, it was stuck in a mixed current, that shot in many directions. It would appear now, that they were at the mercy of the mermaid. "How fast do you think we could swim?" Chase whispered to Kurai and Lami, watching the mermaid as she began to enchant Eric.

Kurai's Aero cancled when Eric noted the Mermaids. "Not fast enough," Kurai replied to Chase. "Would it be to late to cast a Clear out in the distance?" Kurai then begain to cast protect.

"The mermaid is smart, there is no way we are getting out of here without a fight, the protect spell will only layer atop the water, and that leaves the whole bottom of the boat open for attacks, it isn't use, and if we would use magic to dart us out of here, the mermaid will follow." Chase said with a whisper answering Kurai's question with a sigh. Chase didn't like the idea of something so beautiful and majestic, but yet so dangerous at the same time, with the mermaid here, the four of them were like sitting ducks.

Eric looked back to everyone in the boat
"i'll take care of this, keep headed towards whitecap, i'll meet you there" he growled and jumped into the water, he knew the dangers, he was just overly insane right now
"Come at me ladies of the deep" he said, there was some algae growing around his neck to help him breathe underwater without needing a air bubble.

The mermaid began to hiss and gripped Eric up by his pants leg, and pushed him further down into the water, just enough so he would be at the mercy of the other mermaids that began to swim up to him. All three of the mermaids began to his viciously, and flipped there long tails at the boy.
The boat now began to shift with the current, and Chase gripped onto the oars to level the boat out from tipping. "We have no choice, if we stay still we will be pushed back towards the harbor, so we need to keep going." Chase said, and grunted as he began to push against the strong current, he had no doubt that he could get them there, only that he wasn't sure how his arms would feel afterwards.

Eric could no longer be seen by the top of the water, he had been dragged in rather deeply
"not bad ladies, can you handle this?" he emitted a electric wave that wasnt seen that pushed most of the mermaids away giving them quite a shock, however, he knew there would be more after him

The blast was strong enough to in fact kill one of the mermaids, and she drifted off out of sight in the water, but more did surface, and now there was around six mermaids surronding Eric. "You are unphased by are charms because you are not a man, just a small little tyke." One of the mermaids said, and darted at Eric with a powerful spinning attack.

"ive been in loves embrase before, Ms Fish," he grinned then caught the mermaid's attack gritting his teeth
"what else can you tell about me?" he grinned and took out his rose dagger and plunged it thru one of the mermaid's neck and let her drift to the surface and grabbed her spear putting away his dagger

"I can't let him down there, Kurai take the oars, and go to Whitecap." Chase said, passing Kurai the oars, and standing to his feet, he quickly removes his boots, leather jacket, and tee shirt from his body, and then dove quickly into the water.
While Eric was preoccupied killing one mermaid, another had creeped up behind him. It smiled evil, and tossed it's spear at the boy.
Chase's large arms made it easy for him to traverse threw the water with no problem, and being able to hold his breath for awhile, was helpful in this situation as well. Chase watched the spear aim for Eric's back, and Chase quickly grabbed it as it shot threw the water, he spun it around, and flung it back at the mermaid, and watched it pierce right threw her. Chase watched as the mermaid began to sink lower in the ocean, disappearing from sight. Chase turned around, too see most of the mermaids had fled, except two, that were decked out in armor, and held two spears each.

Eric was startled by Chase being right behind him.
He made some algae grow around Chase's neck to help him breathe
He held the spear he took rather protecivly
"we cant pierce the armor" he said and threw the spear at one of the mermaids heads making the magic around it null so even a touch of it would make the mermaid suffocate.

The spear hit the mermaid directly in the head, and she clutched her throat, and began to sink slowly into the dark of the water. It's partner hissed, and lunged at Eric, but then turned to Chase, the mermaid coolided with Chase, knocking him unconsious, and she gently kissed his lips. "I kiss you now human, so you can breathe underwater, and so you can feel as I rip you limb from limb." The mermaid said with a laugh, and began to pull Chase deeper into the ocean.

Eric snarled and quickly swam into the darkness of the ocean
He saw the bottom of the ocean and smiled seeing seaweed, he snapped his fingers and grabbed the mermaid.
"I'll give you 2 choices, mermaid" Eric growled now really angry but he was calm so insane.
"i'll let you go and you let my friend go, or i'll rip you apart, limb from limb, and i'll take my friend, your choice."

The mermaid droped Chase's arm, and he began to sink towards the seaweed. "I picked choice one." The mermaid hissed.
