"Damn!" Ruedra began running, causing her dirty skirt to flow up a little, showing a metal leg. She began running at top speed.
A few moments later she turned yet another corner, she stopped and turned around, hoping that she didn't leave Kaige back too far.

He caught up by runnung along the side of the buildings.
"I'm gonna try the tunnel,are you with me?"

" I guess. But I only work with people when I know their names." She she started running in place getting her legs working again.. "I'm Ruedra." She looked around, to make sure there was no one else near where they were.

Running won't get you anywhere, Laire thought. She quickened her pace a little bit; she didn't want the fugitives to arrive in the tunnel before she could put an end to them, and it appeared that these operatives had been genetically enhanced.
The tunnel loomed ahead, the entrance barred. A determined person could break through the barricades without much difficulty, but it was assumed that no one would dare enter.

"I'm... Kaige."
He continued running with her until they reached the tunnel. He saw the one ting he had hoped woudn't be there.
"No!!! She anticiapted us coming here!"
He thought of turning back,but others would be coming as well.

"So you are the ones," Laire murmured. "I wasn't expecting for you to come here this soon into the chase." She took a step towards them.
"Why don't you run?"

"Quick!" Ruedra grabbed Kaige by the arm, spun around, and began running back. "You better be happy after this." She ran until they were about fifty yards in front of the tunnel. She saw someone coming in the distance...
Ruedra yet again turned, this time back to the tunnel, holding Kaige by the arm. "Trust me, okay?" She was about to start running again.

"How many bullets do you think it takes to kill a human being?" Laire mused. She pulled a much larger gun than the one she'd used to help Ruedra from her belt and the one from her bag, dropping her groceries in the process.
Somehow, she thought abstractly, the sound of cracking eggshells was fitting.

Ruedra grabbed Kaige's arm and back up a bit. She then jumped with all her might. Then soared right over Laire, and landed on the other side of her quick as lightning. "Fighting is not the answer to anything." She let go of his arm and the ran down to the barricade.
Ruedra then turned to Laire and what looked like a slight smirk was found on her face.

"You hadn't guessed that with this arm?" She asked raising up her right arm. She then plunged it into the barricades in front of them. They crumbled, and Ruedra walked through, looking behind them to see if anyone was coming yet.

He followed her through,the barcode on his neck was now in plain sight.
