Damien kept his gaze at her face, he closed his eyes and kept his smile. The cold water was soothing, he yawned and looked back at the princess. Damien watched as the luminescent moonlight glowed against her face. He quickly tried to snap out of it and smiled with a shy sigh. "I would not commit such without honor, and I would never try to harm someone like you."He said with a quiet tone, his voice was stern and honest.

Lyla felt his eyes upon her, but she didn't mind so much. She watched him yawn and relax. It had grown darker and night was upon them. She watched the moon gleam against his face, watching his features come to life before her eyes. She shook her head and heard him speak. He would never hurt someone like her... "Is honor the reason why you do not harm me? Because I know many men of conquered countries who wouldn't hesitate to either kill me or take me captive, especially if they were in your position."

And I never want it to pass."Damien shrugged with a grin, in the water it was merely a small movement. He wanted to keep talking, her voice was sweet. He dove underwater and resurfaced. He shook off his head but noticed her dress was slightly see-through. He also noticed something like a knife at her side. He backed up a little bit and looked at the princess. He asked with an inattentive voice, he was starting to think that his proximity to the princess was at a deadly range. He could be grabbed and stabbed right there. He was feeling the cold of the water now. Because he shivered.

Lyla watched him dive under the water and tried to cover herself a little better... she was still a little uncomfortable around him. She realized that he had seen her knife. She raised it up above the water and placed on the rocks besides her. She looked at him, "You can trust that I would use it only for defense... You have not given me reason to use it, so I have not. I have never had to use it, but I just keep it for safe measures." She was up against the rock now. Normally she would have felt cornered, but for now she was just relaxing, waiting for his answer.
(Sorry that it took a while to post, my computer shut off and then I started to feel sick.)

And I never want it to pass."Damien nodded with a sigh of relief and turned his gaze back to her face, in the lighting, it was easy to tell that she had a clean complection that made him feel quite weary. He sank back into the water, and kept most of his body above water. "You truly are not like what our morals of your people are, if anything... I presume that you're more of a 'human being' than the vast majority people of our kingdom."He said in an open, soft and confined voice. (( It seems I missed the post. ))

Lyla felt a little more relaxed now that she no longer had the knife in her hand. She moved her body back into the water and just watched him. She smiled at his comment and nodded, "People are not as they seem... you are nothing like what I have taught about the people of your country... and you are far more of a gentleman than any man in my kingdom." She bit her lip after she was done speaking and looked down at the water. It was true... he was a gentleman.

And I never want it to pass."Damien blushed at her comment, he wasn't used to receiving comiments as he barely saw others aside from soldiers. He smiled lightly and wanted to move closer, he took an odd step forward as he was unsure of what to do. Damien looked at the princess and stopped about five feet away. "And in all the kingdom, I never met anyone like you."

This man was not anything like anyone she had ever met... Her heart began to beat faster as he moved closer to her, as if it were excited. She blushed at his comment and bit her lip nervous, unsure of what to say next... she was lost for words.

After all, she was the enemy... He gave a light sigh and closed his eyes. His royal blue outfit was rather drenched by now. He stopped at the two foot mark. It wasn't that he didn't want to, he wanted to see if she'd move any closer. Damien opened his eyes and realized he miscalculated his steps due to the current pushing him as he stepped. He was only a foot away from her.

Lyla saw him smile and watched how close he came to her. The current was pulling him even closer, as it was her. It was as hough fate was drawing them together. She took a step and the current did the rest. This was stupid of them to be so close, but they were being drawn together, after all. Now they were only mere inches from one another. What would happen now? She shut her mind off and allowed fate the take control.

Something was making him want to move closer. He had nothing in his mind right now, it was a calming sensation but he couldn't focus on anything but the princess herself.

Lyla watched as the two of them got even closer. Soon the inches started to disappear and it turned into only one inch. She stopped... the world had suddenly gone quiet. The birds had stopped chirping their melodies... even the rushing of the river had gone quiet. Even her mind was silent... earlier all thoughts had entered her mind and crowded it with noise, now that all gone. The sound she could hear was the beat of her heart. She took the final step and there was no space left between them.
(sounds like a plan to me)

And I never want it to pass."Damien felt her breath and moved his arms slowly to wrap around her waist. He felt like the water had calmed, like nothing was holding them apart. He moved his head partially to the side and waited a minute before moving to finally meet her lips, he did it slowly.
