elyzia That's definitely what I was leaning towards, making the name something simple. Ultimately, the point of a subforum's name is -- of course -- to convey in very few words what the subforum's all about. Since I'm as clueless on the topic of this subforum as I am on the topic on Roleplay (you know, I actually NEVER even go into that subforum; it's just like a whole new dialect that I don't speak), I just couldn't manage to think of a name & be sure I was conveying what I wanted to convey with the name. I actually find it to be quite amusing indeed that you mentioned throwing words like "Nerd" or "Geek" into the name, since that's what my brain keeps coming back to, just naming it like "FOR NERDS" & letting that be that rofl As long as you're pretty certain that most "Gamers" would view Computer Games as Video Games, then "Technology & Video Games" is the best suggestion I've heard so far. I mean, I kept thinking I needed to be more specific with the name so people will know exactly what's included in the subforum, but all that can be specified in the Rules & Guidelines sticky in the subforum (which my "nerdy gamer"-type Crew is going to have to do the majority of for me, since as I've already established I'm clueless about that s**t). Honestly, I'm so sick of worrying about a new title for the Technology subforum that I might just go ahead & change the name to that now :3 Do it!
See how it works in a trial run, if activity/posts goes up. You can always change it if it doesn't work in the wrong long long run (that was such a weird typo I chose to keep in there). Gamers should include computer games when they see "video games."
Kira's suggestion (above) would also work.

"Electronics (VG, Comps & more)" I did see it, but I forgot to reply; sorry sweatdrop Initially, I really loved your suggestion; however, the more I thought about it, the more I realized how "Electronics" could sort of make the already slightly blurry line between "Technology" & "Entertainment" even blurrier (when I hear the word "Electronics", I think of things like i-Pods & TVs & whatnot).

It's totally pissing me off how hardly anyone is posting s**t here. It's like, godddd, everyone wants guilds to be perfect & s**t but nobody (well, hardly anybody) apparently is willing to do anything to help make Burn a better place for them & cater to their interests better.
Do people just expect us Crew to figure everything out on our own, even what our member want?

Up the activity of the crew in the forum might inspire more posts overall. I'd help you nerd it up-- but at the moment, my interests are limited to Resident Evil, Left 4 Dead(s), and Bioshock: Infinite (which I'm freaking out about, just a little bit).
Then again, I just got a Kinect. And I've got a little Final Fantasy, Doom, and Devil May Cry discussion in me. We could probably flood the forum... first person shooter vs. camera over shoulder, female protagonists vs. male, co-op games: like or dislike?, best outfit designs, etc. I'm getting excited.

Entertainment: I actually really like this forum, it sometimes gets really active spurs.
Blogs: I love the idea behind this, but I don't think many people actually visit that subforum.
Technology: Maybe expand it a bit towards gaming and such.. though that might interfere with anime(final fantasy or whatever.. that''s anime and games.. right?)
I like the idea of the quiz subforum, if quizzes are produced frequently, I think that could be a really productive subforum. Maybe quizzes/spam(bpam being bump topics and such)

Final Fantasy does have the Advent Children movie based on it. Then there's Dead Space 1&2... which now have TWO anime movies based on the video games. Plus, all the animes that have video games based on them, like Inuyasha and Naruto just to name two.
The line might get a little blurry there. But there's bound to be some overlap in most subforums, right?

I think we could turn the burn blogs into the more "mature" place.. & hopefully keep out trouble makers..
As it is, there isn't much activity besides lurkers and occasional posters.
So if people are looking for a better place to just speak their minds without much of a reply or anything.. they can go there. This way they won't get angry or shot down.
Might have to change the format & idea a little bit.. but it's still the same all in all..
Though the heaven idea is okay & could work.. I definitely wouldn't call it such.. that's just looking for trouble & is a troll magnet.

While good in theory, I feel like the Heaven subforum would be incredibly difficult to enforce. That's my general sentiment towards all ideas concerning more "mature" subforums.
