Well; patience is as patience does, to coin an expression NOT said by Yoda.

However, it's kind of disheartening to log in every day, and still see that my post was the last post. It makes me wonder whether I killed the thread by saying something irrevocable, or if people are just staying away from it...

or any other idea I might have out of the thousands that can rack my brain.

Sometimes, it's just an "oh" and I move on. But I digress- I've seen both of you guys posting in here, are your character replies that thoroughly locked down by needing someone else to reply first?

My posts are kind of at the extreme neutral right now, actually. I don't post that much because I don't really have a reason too. My posts are rather pointless at this stage, they're just a filler... for now. I'm not waiting on anybody, it's just boring to get caught up in something that isn't going anywhere.

I'm a little annoyed though... Sombra isn't going anywhere. He's kinda just there. He doesn't seem to have personality, and although I like him, he just seems boring to me.

I love the idea of RP art! I will name my first born child Sombra if you do this!

Kaiden: Pfft, don't take it Lupis, it's a cheap deal. He'd have to find a woman who could stand being married to him.

Ignore him. As for you saying Sombra is 'boring', I don't personally think so, but if he is to you, I've found two tricks. You've got to flush out his history, and you've got to visualize his goals. Do these two things and that's when your character starts taking on even more life than simply a 'personality'.

Take time to just mull over in your head, where was Sombra before the Dragon took him in?
How far did he go?
How twisted did he get before he broke free?
Does he seriously regret his past actions?
And if so, what, specifically?
What past or character traits made him susceptible to the Dragon's side?
Any family?
What happened to them?
Do they play any part in his role?
How'd he get his abilities?
Did it cost him?

That's just a FEW questions to ask regarding his past alone that can breathe a whole new life into a character. I'm sure you can think up some other questions on your own. Then there's present situations.

Who does he relate well to?
Why?
How does he handle people he dislikes?
What does it take to earn his trust?
What is he looking to accomplish?
Why?
What's the driving force for what he does?

Just using these kinds of questions you go beyond just giving your character a personality and start giving him a real PURPOSE. And also realize, there are no wrong answers to these questions. It takes all types, after all.

And on a side note, who wants to ignore the fact that I'm a hypocrite for mentioning this and get on Lythe about posting?

Just a little heads up for everyone. Christmas is almost upon us, and, with a large, split family, I probably won't be on much. I'll be celebrating all the way up until the 26. Sorry for any trouble this may cause.

Well, I'm glad everyone's getting back smile

I'm a little annoyed though... Sombra isn't going anywhere. He's kinda just there. He doesn't seem to have personality, and although I like him, he just seems boring to me.

I like Sombra's character. He seems childishly mischievious; like he might have been tricked into the Dragon's ways only by deceit, and thus, having come to us, follows us with the same loyalty that an innocent might.

Like when Sombra stole the tiara, and I had Heath give him a swift kick to drop it; I didn't think it was out of malice that Sombra took it- more just a "I can, and there's no harm, so why not?"
