lilchibiusa GalateasFire lilchibiusa I just sent the person who sent my brother that invite (I deleted the invites on this account and my mule) a polite PM directing them to guilds forum if they wish to recruit more members. Hopefully they'll take the hint. *Edit - I just got a reply, and they admitted to going through our member list to recruit for their guild. Apparently, some other guild suggested that to them as a means of recruitment, so they tried it. And, also, this person wasn't even aware that there is a forum where you can advertise your guild. xp They said that they will present the idea of advertising in the guilds forum to the crew, and they will discuss the matter. Then, the person thanked me for my input. I'm guessing that most of them are newbies as being guildies. Sounds about right, good job at figuring that out and dealing with the issue calmly! smile Thanks! biggrin I'm glad that I went ahead and PMed them. I always hate doing things like that. I don't like confrontation at all. @Whitby - I usually get about one or two random guild invites each week. I just thought that something was a bit strange when just about everyone in this guild got the same invite. biggrin Yes, I along with Inazuma got an invite to that Round Table Guild days ago. I looked into it and thought something just seemed off about it. Thank you for going to the extra effort and looking out for your members. This guild is one that I highly recommend people join. Thanks again.

I was talking to them and they stated that the crew member got kind of bad advice from his/her friend and she fell for it. I told them though some actual good advice. The guild is filled with nice and mature people as well. I don't see a problem being in both guilds.

I wouldn't know if it is a scam or not. However I have noticed that posts here have been trickling off. I don't have an issue with parting ways completely with those of you who have been invited to that guild. Don't feel obligated to stay here just to talk to me or whoever else they didn't pick... There's always profile comments or PMs.

Activity here has its highs and lows. There are a few people here who have been here for years, but don't necessarily post everyday. As long as there are still familiar faces around (including the new faces that we get to know), I'm happy. And, it is possible to be active in multiple guilds. I post in five different guilds on a regular basis. 3nodding

I got an invite to that guild, too. Glad I never accept right away and wait to have a look about before deciding.

Whoa, whoa, whoa...This competition--and I don't even think there should BE a competition--between our guild and their guild is getting WAY out of hand, and so are people's reactions to Vetus Gaianus members joining The Round Table. Nobody said anything about leaving Vetus Gaianus, at least not that I'm aware of. This is my first "home" on Gaia, and it's where I feel the most comfortable. I, for one, am NOT leaving. I just haven't been on Gaia AT ALL for a few days because it's been a busy week. And frankly, all of this venom against the other guild, and the people who happened to choose to join it, is making me really uncomfortable. And frankly, it kind of makes me mad that there are implications that people who join The Round Table are expected to quit Vetus Gaianus and abandon all their friends. This seriously needs to stop. I've only made two posts on The Round Table, and I really don't like being accused of selling out or "cheating" on Vetus Gaianus. I know that nobody's mentioned me personally, but any comment addressed to, or referring to, people from this guild who also joined the other guild, is also referring to me. I'm thinking about quitting The Round Table, just because I'm sick of all the crap that's risen between this guild and theirs. I've made it clear that I choose Vetus Gaianus over any other guild that might present a conflict of interest. I can't speak for others, but that's where I stand. I come on Gaia to relax, not worry about whether or not my being in one guild will offend members of another guild./rant
Seriously, I love you guys. I don't want to leave you, and I don't want to be caught in the middle of a territorial dispute. sweatdrop

Oh my gosh! I should have read this thread when it first started. I don't want to seem paranoid but this guild might partly have been targeted for recruitment because I joined you guys.
The leader (EDIT: VICE CAPTAIN)of the Round Table and I have had some issues. He was a member of another guild I was in and things did not go well. Again maybe I'm being paranoid but it seems like the invitations began around the same time I added this guild name to my profile.
Having said that, I don't think there is any harm in joining that guild. It's a legitimate guild with a lot of nice members. I don't get along with the leader at all to put it mildly but that doesn't mean others will have a bad experience over there.
And let me add that it's quite possible it has nothing to do with me and they were simply going down the list of members of all guilds that you could find with key words "adult" or "over 18" etc..

No one is telling anyone who joined that guild to quit. All I said was that I didn't like their recruitment methods. I never said anything against the guild itself. And, like I said, I'm a member of other guilds, so I don't see a problem with being a member of another adult guild. I think you just might have misunderstood what I meant. sweatdrop

So they invited me just a few days ago and they have banned me already. I have no idea why and nothing was said. So just lovely. I posted like 4 times.
*Update: I just talked to them and they were cleaning out everyone they thought was a minor. Haha, I was like no I'm over 21.

I don't know what you're talking about because quite frankly after it was paraded around absolutely how everyone in this guild was getting invited to that guild including people who do not even log into Gaia anymore were all joining that guild... I started to feel like crap... because having not gotten an invite there, it did start to feel like people didn't want me here in this guild either.

Sachie Whitby I don't know what you're talking about because quite frankly after it was paraded around absolutely how everyone in this guild was getting invited to that guild including people who do not even log into Gaia anymore were all joining that guild... I started to feel like crap... because having not gotten an invite there, it did start to feel like people didn't want me here in this guild either. It's their loss for not snatching you up. But, I'm sure that you would have gotten an invite eventually if I hadn't PMed them about it. It's hard to tell much about a person just by looking at usernames and avatars. The random person going through the members list didn't know the cool, witty person that we know. wink And trust me, you are very wanted. @Underworld - Sorry that that happened to you. But, if they want to cut you, too bad for them. That just means that we have more time to play with you. blaugh As you can probably guess, we aren't as strict with ages as some other guilds are. We have a few minor members, and we are more than happy to let them hang around. This is random, but that whole thing made me think of when IDed to see an R-rated movie several months ago, and I'm 24 years old. rofl
