Mari shrugged her shoulders. "I'm just glad we finally got to meet." She said gleefully.

Zane ran an hand through his hair and thought for a moment. "Want to go out to dinner tonight? I could come pick you up around 6:30.." He blushed, turning to look at Mari. She was the first girl he had ever asked to dinner, which made him feel a bit embarrassed.

"Yay!" Zane smiled, pulling Mari against him in a soft embrace. He looked down at her, pressing his lips to hers and shutting his eyes slowly. His heart was pounding in his chest and he was praying that Mari wasn't thinking he was some crazy guy..

Mari was a little surprised, but gave into the kiss. She had never thought the day would come where she would meet someone who made her head spin, but she felt as though she has finally met that special person.

Zane smiled, amazing at how he felt. His head was spinning and when their lips touched he could of sworn he felt sparks. He thought he would have never have met someone that did that to him but he did. His dream was coming true.

Mari felt Zane's smile and couldn't help but smile herself. She didn't want the moment to end.

Zane pulled back for a moment and looked at his watch. "I'm gunna have to go soon..." Zane pulled his lips into a pouty face and then laughed. He couldn't stay sad for long. Just being around Mari made him happy.

Mari looked at Zane and saw how his face expressions changed. She was sad, but she smiled and said, "I guess I'll see you later then?"

"Definitely! Wanna give me your address now or do you wanna give it to me when we get home?" Zane smiled, knowing that when they got home they always had the books to communicate back and forth. It was kind of like having a pen pal but at the same time it was better because it was instant. It showed up right there on the page and you could read it and reply within minutes.

Mari thought about it for a second. "I don't have anything to write with at the moment so in the notebook?" She said, not really sure.

"Sounds good to me. I'll talk to you soon." At that he kissed her softly and turned and walked off. He felt a bit rude just leaving like that but his parents were going to start wondering where he was. As soon as he was out of view he practically ran home, trying to get home quicker. He ran inside and up the stairs to his room. Grabbing the book he opens it and grabs a pen, writing a short and simple. Hello.

Mari got back to the orphanage and noticed the blue ink in her book. She wrote back, Hey.

Your address please love? He got out a separate piece of paper to write down her address for later tonight. It was convenient having the books...They could talk and talk and there was no worry over eavesdroppers just people who read over others shoulders.

Mari wrote down the address that was boggled into her mind. 'It's 480 Mahogany Lane. It's the big building that looks a little old.' she thought about everything all at once, which seemed easy to her. "Mari, whatcha doin'?" Lilith asked as she entered Mari's room. She looked at the notebook and smiled. "Are you writing to your mysterious boyfriend?" She asked. Mari flushed. "No!" She nearly yelled loud enough to be heard all over the house.
