"Uh, yeah. Not the most glamorous job out there, but it pays the bills." Teagan folded her arms. "Art's my hobby, not the fish market." She felt the need to tell her 'story' as well. "I fell off my horse. My poor Savine's got an injured leg from it, too. My brother's helping her out, though. He helps run the ranch in Ordon... WHOA!" She rushed over to Destral. "Sit down. Seriously, you're gonna hurt yourself more." Suddenly, a faint glow emitted from everyone's hands. Teagan slapped her other hand over it to cover it up. That'd happened once or twice before, and her reaction was all the same. "Let's go to Ordon! It's where I live and not that far from here. We can get you treated, Destral, and if you want, Jesse, I can give you a tour of the town." The glow grew bigger, and she added more pressure. "So! Who's with me?" She said nervously, her voice picking up the pace and talking faster.

Destral's foot got caught on a root where he fell over. He then got right back up, but his legs folded under him. "Maybe I can....rest a little while? I'm kinda new to the whole 'require food and water' thing...hehehe..." He smiled nervously, though you couldn't see it because of his wardrobe.

Jesse glimpsed a slight glow emitting from her hand as well and hid her hands behind her back in a more natural, characteristically "normality" for her. "Uh...errr... Sure thing!" She said hesitantly, smiling at them.
On the inside, her brain was working the wheels, trying to find out what the heck was going on. She tried to keep a smile on as she went to Destral's right. "C'mon! Sleep'll do ya good." She grinned and sang out in a clear soprano voice.
"Once upon a mid-morn, A bird fell from its nest. The mo-ther caught it and told it, 'You need some rest!'"

Now Teagan thought he was really nuts. "Then eating is a new experience, I guess?" She glanced at Jesse, a small smile on her face. "How about we help Destral get to Ordon, hm? It really isn't far away." Her hand stayed on the other as she spoke, then fell silent as Jesse sang. When she finished, Teagan couldn't help but clap. "That was actually really, really good!" She'd forgotten all about the hidden insignia, its glow bright. Once Teagan remembered her hands went right back into the position they were in before.

"Thank you, thank you," Jesse bowed like she did a long time ago when she was younger, forgetting her mark as well and hiding it behind her back again. "Sure!" She smiled nervously and linked her left arm with Destral's right and happily smiled at him. "...New...experience...? Boy, you must be tired or something!" She pretended to look over her shoulder at the spring, but really made a face that suggested that she thought him a little cuckoo in the head, as she would put it, like that afro bird further into Faron Woods.

For Destral, his hand glowed but was dampened by his ebony garb. He rolled his eyes but tried not to make a snappy comment. "Taking me to your village sounds nice...lets hurry." He tried to get up, and waited for him to be lead.

Teagan suppressed yet another laugh. This girl seems cool. I hope she stays around awhile. She thought. "Let's go, now. No use waiting around, hm?" With a little effort, the two managed to get Destral on his feet, and together they headed for the village. "So where'd you learn to sing like that, Jesse?" She asked in attempt to strike up a conversation.
The fresh summertime air hit Link's face as he shut the door to his home behind him, climbing down the ladder and adjusting his classic green tunic. He hadn't woken up too long ago, and still wasn't fully alert yet. As soon as he saw three figures emerge from the trees, though, he snapped out of his dazed stupor. Narrowing his eyes, he tried making out who was coming from the woods, seeing Teagan with two strangers; another girl, and a man who looked to be injured. "Link!" Teagan exclaimed. She looked at Jesse and Destral. "Link is a friend of mine. You guys would get along with him." The trio approached Link. "Hey, long time no talk! It's good to see you. Sorry to totally leave before we can catch up but Destral here's hurt, and we're getting him help." He nodded. "Good seeing you too, and here, let me join you. I was going to go out into the village anyway." The insignia on his hand glowed brightly underneath his fingerless gloves. "This has been acting up so much lately..." He frowned, staring at the light. "The Triforce insignia?" Teagan asked nervously. He nodded. "Here, walk with us." The four passed through the gate into the village, with the thoughts in her head bouncing off the walls in her brain. Should she reveal what was underneath the gauze to him? Or would that risk keeping her secret silent? No, Link would stay quiet about it if she told him to, she knew him well enough to know that. But still...

Destral saw the boy and thought he might have recognize him somewhere....where was that? It didn't matter, his hand was starting to glow, and it was becoming noticeable. Why is it doing that suddenly? "Nice ta meetcha...name's Destral. Wait...Triforce insignia? Which one?! I wanna see it, I've heard so much about 'em back home. It look a bit l-" He had reached for his hand, but stopped himself. He hoped no one had noticed the glow.

"I sang in taverns when I was younger, just for the fun of it. I made really good friends with pretty much everyone where I lived." She cocked her head towards Link's hand. "Interesting. I'm Jesse Arrowheart! Adventurer, explorer, singer, and composer of ditties!" She made a mock bow with a grin on her face so carefree that even she had forgotten about her hand. With a tiny gasp, she pulled it back behind her back with a nervous grin.

"I will consume." The trees above the gang rustled violently, like something was moving around. On most days, they may have dismissed it as a monkey or some other forest pest, but something just wasn't right about it. Namely, the oddly shaped and decorated mask that fell from the tree and landed with a resounding thump, right in front of them.
Yes...Finally! I found him...Gods, I knew I'd find him eventually- lounging in a village no less! It's time he paid for that incredible inconvenience he caused me. I will make him suffer! I will make him beg for sweet, sweet-
Wait- what? That isn't him? That's...An imposter! A fraud! A pseudo! A fake! A pretender! He's not Kokiri! He's old too! I sat and waited in that tree for nothing? Gah, I should probably just leave now...Wait? What's that smell? Smells like...Triforce! So it is him! An ancestor! With similar taste in attire no less! Oh, he will be much fun to toy with...
Majora's internal monologue raged on as it debated with itself on how to proceed from here. Hopefully one of them would want him. Slim chance of any of them recognizing him at this point. It'd been what, a millennial? Either way, he needed a host and these four seemed like prime candidates."...Consume, everything..."

Now that the food within his stomach was giving him energy again, Destral started to sound a bit less delusional and being more careful with what he said. It suddenly dawned on him no one seemed to feel the chill of his corrupted aura, something that was a constant reminder of the dangers of being wrong... "You sing? I thought I heard something before, but I thought it was just from the lack of sleep, food, water... You sound nice though, if it makes ya feel a bit better!" It was almost disconcerting for someone with Destral's appearance to be so upbeat and happy, but his head wasn't entirely clear yet.

"Jesse is a lovely singer. From what I've heard from her, her rhymes are rather whimsical and fun." Teagan piped up. "Oh, Teagan! You heard about Layla, didn't you? Nikko came by to tell me and asked if I'd seen you earlier." "Yes, I was babysitting Penny at the time. When Robert came he told me. I'm so riddled with anxiousness, I want to meet that little cutie so badly." She grinned and turned to Jesse and Destral. "So we're not leaving you in the dark here, Robert and Nikko are my brothers. Penny is my niece, Robert's daughter, and I'd babysitted her this morning while Robert's wife was in labor with their second child, who they named Layla." Teagan frowned. "I haven't gotten to see her yet, though. Sad news... She apparently looks like me, too..."

Destral chuckled, whispering under his breath, "Dang, I feel sorry for the parents..must be very disappointed." He tried to avert his gaze as if to appear distracted by something. It was difficult to move his head comsidering all the straps that shown how he is bound and dark, though it was a simple mistake. Still...were these people really so distracted that they didn't feel his aura? Maybe he was too far away?

"I heard that!" Teagan slapped his arm. "I may not be the fairest of them all but you're no looker yourself!" "C'mon guys, play nice. We're all friends here, right?" Teagan folded her arms and pouted her lip like a small child, then put her hands on her hips and laughed. "Sure. Hey, how about heading for the village, now?"
