Sigismund Dorn

Dorn size was a curse and a blessing at the same time. It provided him with a powerful build that could take abuse but it also slowed him down and he was not as agile as most. He was more of a fighter then anything else. His eyes wandered over the area and he was looking for a stream to follow and the area did seem rather familiar to him. Scanning the sky he noticed the young one approaching at a good speed and angel. A small smile formed one his face and he turned his attention to the forest below and he waited for a the right moment before diving into the tress. Now this was rather dangerous more so for him then her but he managed to move throw the larger openings in the trees.

Arching his back slightly he forced him self to gain altitude once more and he his belly stuck the tops of various trees breaking them. Dorn tried as quickly as he could to come back to the sky and he scanned the area over looking for Rouge. She was defiantly smaller then him and no doubt more agile and quick possibly faster. Changing the angle of his of his wings he began to be pulled backwards and did a semi circle to increase his height and change his direction. A quickly roll set him on a level plane once more. His yellow eyes scanned the area again looking for the purple dragon.

She blinked when he went down between the trees. Instead of following him though, she flew up a bit higher so she could keep her eye on him and look for a good time to strike. Once she saw that he had started to come back up, she flew up higher, hiding in the clouds like she did last time. Hearing the sounds of his wings right under her, she came down, her wing grazing against his as she smirked. "Gotcha." she told him before picking up her own pace rather quickly. Considering the fact that he was most likely faster to than her, she went higher first, planning out her moves. Rouge didn't want to be caught easily.

Seeing a cliff up ahead, she started to dive down towards it, coming closer and closer. Due to his size, she didn't think he would be able to get as close to it as she could. Tucking in her wings slightly, she started to drop down, the cliff only about 30 feet in front of her but she was getting closer to it, planning to drop like a stone once she got as close as possible. Twirling, she was upside down now and looking towards the ground, her stomach facing the rock wall. As she got lower, she slowly spread her wings out, planning on flying through the trees where it would be harder for him to catch her.. then again he could use the same strategy she had used.

Dorn muttered something to him self after he felt her touch a part of his body and it seemed that he was it for the time being. Jerking his head around he searched for the younger dragon and caught sight of her and began to follow her indirectly. He kept his distance and planned to catch her when she least expected it. Pondering over a few thoughts he saw her nearing the edge of a cliff and he began to dive down towards the tree line but was still some distance away from her. If nothing he planned to cross directly under the purple dragon but she would most likely see him coming as it was hard to miss a creature of his size on a green background.

Nearing the rock wall he extended his claws and gripped the surface as he flew next to it pushing his large body along. He did loosened some of the stones and one or two fell the the ground below but he was nearing his intended target. His eyes scanned the area directly around her and it seemed that she planned to follow the same strategy he had done but she should know how that would end up. Either way he was closing the gap between them and should tag her within a few moments. He did begin to wonder if this game was even helping her out but he would find out with time.

Perhaps planning wasn't the best way to do. The large dragon didn't slam into the cliff as she had expected and now he was quickly coming for her. Not the best way to go. Flapping her wings once more to increase the speed, she then pulled up, not getting the chance to fly through the tall sycamore trees that were bellow the Elder. Gaining height as she continued, she frowned a bit, not knowing how to escape the grasp of the red dragon except by loosing him in the trees or the clouds. Clouds it was.

It didn't take her long to reach them considering the fact that they were already up in the mountains. Taking in a deep breath, she sailed smoothly through them, staying as quiet as possible so he wouldn't be able to know where she was. The only problem was if she unknowingly rammed into him. Rouge still didn't know what his powers were so she was definitely at a disadvantage but at least she wasn't chasing him anymore.. then again, feeling like she was prey wasn't the best feeling in the world either.

Dorn only quickened his pace as he kept the purple dragon in sight and he was enjoying him self probably more then he should but it was a game after all. She was climbing and he slowed down only enough to push him self from the cliff wall and follow after her. It seemed she wished to lose him in the night sky but he had the advantage here. His eyes changed to a dark red almost near black color and he scanned the area over for her. The heat that came from her body could be easily seen by him and he grinned every so slightly as he moved towards her.

Much like the younger dragon he too kept quite but his wings could easily be seen if you where close enough to him as they radiated a soft yellow. Pondering over a few thoughts Dorn flew above her and slowly lowered him self waiting to tap her. It was not too long before he reached out with his claw and tapped her back gently. Spreading his wings he began to slow down and moved through the clouds gently wondering if she would be able to catch him in here. However he would move into clearer skies in a few minuets.

Where was he anyway? She soon found out when she saw the soft yellow light but it was too late to dive down and escape him as he tapped her back. Twisting her neck to look up at him, she frowned. Perhaps his power had something to do with heat but she couldn't be sure. Rouge followed the soft yellow light, trying to not loose it since she would then be lost without it.

Eventually she lost it though and she was forced to go to clearer skies. Looking around as she glided around the clouds, she couldn't help but wonder if he was just doing this to waste time or to gain her trust. Either way, she was just enjoying the fact that she could fly through the skies flying. Going below the clouds, she didn't realize how far she had gone off track since she was too busy trying to find the Elder when an arrow got stuck in one of her purple wings. Looking down, she spotted a few hunters. A loud growl escaped her lips but instead of attacking them, she went into the clouds, hoping that she would be able to loose them there. Of course pain was coursing through her veins but she had to get to safety before she could land. Flying quickly back, she rammed into the Elder without meaning to which then caused her to loose her balance and she began to descend. So much for the first lesson going well.

Dorn had lost her in the thick clouds and was unsure where the young one was. Naturally the old dragons heart quickened in pace as he searched for her. They had drifted some distance from there village but his assumption and he scanned the over quickly. It was not too long before his body connected with another's. Looking over the purple figure he dove down and captured her in his arms only to feel a light strike on his scales as he looked over at some humans that where below them. His mind was focused on her survival and he would teach those creatures a lesson at a later date. Rising quickly he flew through the clouds and looked down at her.

"Are you alright" he asked in a concerned tone. Dorn was a strong dragon so her added weight did not impact him in the slightest. Though it might not seem like it he did care for the purple dragon even though she was a rebel. Pondering over a few thoughts he scanned the area and it seemed the humans had not bothered to follow them. Centering his gaze he waited to hear an answer from her. Things did not go according to plan and he felt guilty for what happened to her.

Rouge huffed when she was suddenly pulled back up into the sky. She had been preparing to glide the rest of the way back but she had run into something. Only now did she realize what it was. The Elder. Looking around, she realized he had pulled her above the clouds where the air was even thinner. "Yeah, yeah. I'm fine." rubbing her head with one of her clawed paws, she then sighed. "What are you scales made out of? Iron?" she asked him as she tried to get out of his arms, finding it rather embarrassing. Yes, her wing did hurt but not enough so that she wasn't able to fly.

"Would you mind letting go of me?" she asked, if she had been in her human form, she would have been blushing but thankfully her purple scales only became slightly darker around her cheeks and it was possible that he didn't know what that meant. "It's only an arrow after all." she told him, pointing at her wing. She could only hope that it wasn't poisoned. Human tended to do that when they went hunting for dragons.

"Good" Dorn said after hearing her answer but he knew well enough that humans had developed ways to fight dragons. Poison being on the more potent of there tools. He smiled lightly after hearing her question and he was known to have one of the toughest hides among his race. "No it is stronger then iron" he said as he looked down at her. He still held her in his arms and had no intention of letting her go until they arrived at their village. She was his responsibility after all.

Dorn shook his large head as he looked down at her. "I can not" he said bluntly. He did not care if she was blushing or not seeing as he could see the warmth on her cheeks. "It might be a single arrow but I do not want to risk poison running a muck with you system" he said as he quickened his pace slightly. It would not take them too long to reach the village at his current speed and he kept to the clouds making sure that he was hard to follow. However instead of taking her back to her home or one of the healers they went straight back to his place which was located in a cave within a cliff edge.

Flying in through the large entrance he set her down and change to his human form. "Follow me if you can and I will treat the wound" Dorn said as he began to walk away from her, leading her to one of the smaller rooms he had in here for guests. It had taken him a few hundred years to set this place up and it was quite the sight.

Strong than iron? She blinked. Well her hide wasn't as strong.. but that could also be because she was younger dragon. Things changed over time, you got more abilities and you learned more things. She sighed when she realized that he wasn't going to let her go. Frowning a bit, she simply looked down then, watching the clouds that they passed. Where was he talking her anyway?

She soon found out when he landed in a cave. This wasn't the place of any healer she knew.. she had never been here either. Looking around, she was cautious, not knowing what to think. Changing into her human form, she groaned slightly, realizing that the arrow was stuck in her shoulder now.. at least it wasn't near her heart. Grimacing, she followed after him despite the pain that she received when she moved her arm.

Rouge would have taken the time to take a good look around but she was in pain. Sitting down on the edge of the bed that was in the room, she rubbed her wounded shoulder gently, blood was running down it and onto her dress but that was the least of her problems. Looking over at him, she watched him closely.. she had never let anyone tend to her wounds.. except for her father if they were extremely bad. "Tell me what you're going to do before you do it." she told him, being completely serious. As far as she knew he didn't have a reason to harm her, but she wanted to make sure nonetheless.

Dorn had lead her to one of the guest rooms he had not finished to long ago and he kept all well stocked as this doubled as a place to tend to is wounds. He looked over at her and pondered what would be best to fix the injury she suffered from. Then she asked a rather odd question but he was more then willing to answer her. "I will pull the arrow from you body and inspect the wound before cleaning it and administering a paste made from various herds" he said. The healers within the village where good but this old dragon did pick on other recipes which have been lost with time. He offered to teach them once before but they did not wish it.

"Now if you don't mind taking a seat in front of him that way we can get started and I will need you to remove some of clothing so I can get a better look" he said in an honest tone. Dorn was old but by no means was he a perverted dragon who wished to sneak a peak at her. It was not that she was not attractive but he lacked any interest in her. He moved around and gathered a few things before standing behind a wooden chair where she would be sitting.

Biting her lip, she listened to his response and then looked around, deciding if there was another place she would rather sit. Picking a chair, she sat down before hearing his next words. Her eyes narrowed a bit. She was not one to let anyone near her.. at all. Of course, he probably didn't mean it in that way.. and right now she wished he could have simply taken her home so she could take care of the wound herself. Drumming her fingers along the wood, she then sighed once again. "Hurt me and you will not be a happy camper." she told him, she would go through with her threat if she had too as well. It didn't matter who he was.

Moving the short sleeve down her shoulder a bit, she was careful with it since her shoulder hurt as it was. She stopped after it was moved a few inches down and then crossed her arms slowly. She didn't like this situation.. nope, not one bit. Closing her eyes for a moment, she knew that she could very possibly be irrational but it didn't matter at the moment. He was luckily she didn't have her sword with her.. though she always had a knife with her, no matter where she was going.

Dorn heard her threat and sighed softly. "Understood but this will cause some pain" he said as he placed a hand on her other shoulder and held onto her gently. Reaching for the arrow he waited for a moment before grabbing it and yanking it out quickly making sure not to cause further damage. This was unavoidable and she would have felt pain either way so he hoped this encounter did not turn violent in a moments notice. He watched as the young dragon began to strip before him but ti was to only expose her shoulder to him. Although his mind did wander for a moment bit nothing could seen on his expression or body language.

Kneeling down he took a good look at the wound and it seemed the arrow did not chip when it entered. Dorn slowly pulled him self from her and grabbed a wet cloth and cleaned her skin with a brown colored substance and it was a disinfectant of sorts. When that was down he spread a thick paste around the area and some of it entered into her wound. It would tingle slightly before going cold. Soon after that he placed a clean cloth over it and grabbed some bandages and wrapped part of it around her. "You should be able to finish the rest" he said in a clam voice.

Dorn had no intention on touch the rest of her figure unless it was needed but that was not the case in this matter. "I would ask that you stay the night here but if you insist on heading home I will accompany you back" he said. What he failed to mention is that either way he would check on her. Last thing he wished was for her body to be riddled with some poison but none seemed to be present.

She hissed a bit as the arrow was pulled out, her jaw tightened and her hands hung onto the wooden chair. She had never been one to cry.. like some dragons did, but she felt pain nonetheless. Taking in a deep breath after he had pulled it out, she then glanced over at him. Her wound didn't bleed too much, but dragons never bleed a whole lot unless a main vein was cut open. Biting her lip, she then lowered her head again, and almost pulled her shoulder away from him as he continued. It was slightly swollen but that was to be expected.

Whatever he put on next was a bit cold but she was surprised to find that he had a gentle touch. She would have thought he was a bit more brutal... She blinked, as he continued, finding it rather strange that she was even giving this any thought at all. It shouldn't matter. Besides.. she wasn't about to warm up to him. Being controlled was not on her wish list under any circumstances. Once he started to wrap the bandages, she took the rest of it and did it herself.. weaving it under her sleeve so she wouldn't have to redo it later on. Taking off her dress wasn't something she was willing to do in front of him either.. so this was the best way to go. Wincing a bit as the paste sunk into her skin, she finished up rather quickly.

Looking up at him, she frowned slightly. If she wanted to go back, she couldn't fly since that would stretch the wound if she changed into her dragon form.. and she didn't want to be carried back since that would be embarrassing.. so staying here until she felt better seemed like the best idea. "I'll stay here.." she said softly before standing up as she brushed a loose strand of her hair away from her face but it only came back. She left it alone, deciding that it wasn't worth fusing over. "Where can i stay?" she asked him as she placed an arm around her side. Hopefully she would be able to fly by tomorrow..

Dorn might have looked like a brute and maybe he was to a certain degree but he could also be quite gentle when the time called for it. Soon enough his work was complete and he was about to leave to give her the privacy she need to wrap the wound. Upon hearing her question he gave it a moments thought and turned to face her at this time. "Just follow me" he said before he walked out of the room. He dragged his hand across the carved wall and he had done all of this work on his own time. "The room there will be yours for the night" he said as he came to a stop and pointed to a wooden door to his left.

"My room is up the hallway and to the left should you need me during the night. As well I will ask that you do not leave until we have spoken in the morning" he said as he turned to face the younger dragon. There were various matters they had to discuss but he might put them off to a later time. "Until then rest well" he said as he began back of and turn to walk to his room. Each was carved into the rock face and would be a decent size with a good bed in it. Along with a few places to store what items one wanted. He waved to her before heading into his own room and stripping down sliding into his bed.

Dorn had always slept naked and it was not something he would change this night. However he hoped that it would not bother the young one but it might. Rolling around slightly he made sure to keep his junk covered as he tried to find a comfortable position.
