Elena walked apon the dry, cracked earth. Dawn had cracked amoung the hills and bathed her pale face with an orange glow. A solitary stood in the desert, fertile and healthy. Letting her loose brown curls frame her face, she donned a long black cloak and gold adorned mask. Her eyes slowly turned a sea green, and for the finishing effect, she lifted her hood. Now all that was visible was her mask. She looked odd against the pale blue sky, as if she belonged in the darkness. Her lightly toned legs moved gracefully, causing ripples to appear upon her cloak, giving her the sensation as if she were floating. A squirming black sack squirmed before her feet. Elena knelt down and untied the knot. Out spilled a lare man in his late forties. She nudged him with her foot, and he assured her he was still alive by squirming away from her. He was wearing a white undershirt and black pants. On his head were tufts of a reddish brown, all the hair he had left on his head. His hands and feet were bound, and in his mouth was a gag.
She leaned over. "Monsieur, you'd best tell me where Aiden is," she said sweetly. Taking out her favourite knife, she slit the knot at the back of his balding head. One inch more and a split would've appeared in his head.
"Never!" he hissed.
Her eyes caught the slightest movements; the beads of sweat running down his face, the quickness of his pulse through a vein in his neck. The corner of her mouth twitched upward.
"But, Monsieur, he is my brother." she pleaded convincingly. His eyes softned. "What if your child was taken by the military?" she asked, knowing this would break him. He stiffened.
"I have no children."
Cursing silently, she wished she did her home work. If she had, he might've lived. Sighing dissapointed, she took an excess piece of twine from her sack. Tying a secure knot, she fitted over his head.
"Wh-what are you doing?" he asked, horror screaming through his voice.
"Making sure you don't suffer. You almost gave me my answer." She patted his head fondly. Elena looped it over the tree limb and placed a wooden box under it. Hauling the man over her shoulder, she forced him to stand on the box with her knife. She put his head in the loop. Staring at her handy work, she stepped back and prepared to finish him off. Elena kicked the box from beneath him. Watching him squirm, she counted. Three minutes, she thought. New record. The body hung limply from the tree, spinning a bit. She took its pulse. Dead. Standing on the box, she sliced the rope off. Body and all fell to the ground. Saluting him, she left it there to fertilize the ground, for this was the last thing her victims saw. It was also the burial place of many. Stripping her cloak and mask, she left, leaving the sack to be found by the police.

Well, that was a bit from something, I dunno the title, I'm writing. biggrin Sorry, it is a bit morbid.
