I originlly got a DS, and thought it was ok but honestly, after using it for a month, and my eyes buring out of my head and how you had to hold it at just the right angles to view the screen, I stopped using it, when I got my PSP I was a happy man. I use it as much as my PS3 and my PC 3nodding
I love that I can put my music on it and its an MP3 player, of course I wouldn't go jogging with it but its just so perfect IMO. I dont know why people bash it as they do because IMO is better then the DS. Maybe its because alot of older people like the PSP more then most kids, no offense ment. Im 26 myself). It has multi-functions and its sets it above the limited capabilities of the DS. At the moment, Ive been playing FF Tactics nearly non-stop rofl

The one thing I hate about the DS is that there is NO WPA to it. We used to have two routers one for WEP and the other for WPA. Then we ditched the WEP one, meaning no DS online, and we ditched it when Pokemon came out.
And I don't feel like droping $40 for a USB device that has a really bad mixed reviews. I spent $100 on a gaming router that worked once, I'm not going to do it again.

I unfortunatly have dial-up and know not of a way to connect my PSP with it, as most routers work only with highspeed connections when dealing with the net. I can be difficult to set up a dial-up system.

The DS web browser is very bad. In fact stuff like flash doesn't work well with it. A lot of people that have gotten it don't like it. Me on the other hand I'd rather get it for the extra RAM cart ^_^
DS online is slow, it takes forever to get people to join you and once you play its pretty smooth, as long as you don't have some dumb ******** using theirs neighbors wireless internet.
I knew this one guy who did it, he thought he was so cool. But after the long time it took for us to connect and then he would drop all the time while we would play. He got really ticked when I wouldn't want to play with him.
On top of that DS has that hole friend code thing. Every game has its own friend code and their like some freaking phone number. So if you want to play someone in any game both of you have to consent to the trade. And the only modes are really:
Local International Rival/Friends
Rivals was in Metroid Prime Hunters and was really useless, pretty much you had to hope that the person you put on your rival list was on and that they were doing a party in order to play them. Local and International were both based off a random picking. It's pretty dumb and not really great online gaming experience. Also people check like hell using game sharks and stuff and Nintendo doesnt really care.
And the customization isn't all that great unless you play with friends, beyond that it's all random set.

I never knew most of this because I never tried to utilize the features on the DS, I guess mostly because I find it gets no use. On the other hand, ive drained the battery on my PSP about 4 times this week rofl
From the sounds of it, Nintendo made things so safe they became a pain in the arse 3nodding

Check the instruction book, or us.playstation.com I'm thinking it has something to do with the Japanese PSP ability to watch TV from there PSPs. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/8/8e/Dvd_xmb_img02_pop.jpgThats why I think that.

I didnt even remember that till you mentioned the Japanese part.
