Real Name: Joan
Goes by: Nemo (pronounced NEH-mo)
Age: About 18 I guess. The chronology is kind of screwey, sorry.
Gender: Female
Appearance: Light skin, blond hair, red eyes
Nemo is the daughter of in Ishbalan woman and an Amestrian Alchemist. Her father came to Ishval before the rebellion, but when diplomatic relations became tense he returned to Amestris, leaving Nemo's mother three months pregnant.
As Nemo grew up she was rejected by the Ishbalans because of her light hair and skin color. As the Rebellion worsened she and her mother became even more ostricised, and Nemo grew to resent both the Ishbalans and the Amestrians, particularly the father who abandoned her before her birth.
As the rebellion came to an end, her mother, a civilian, was hit by a stray bullet and died.
Her neighbors refused to care for her because of her mixed blood. Instead she traveled to Amestris in search of her father, teaching herself baisic alchemy along the way. When leaving her childhood home she turned her back on her Ishbalan ancestry. To do so she abandoned her name, Joan, and fashioned herself a now one: Nemo.
Several years into her search, she discoved that her father joined the military as a state alchemist and was killed in battle.
Alone in Amestris, she wears sunglasses to hide her red eyes, and succeeds in passing as full-blood Amestrian.
*About her name: No, it is not Nemo as in finding Nemo. Nemo means "no one" in latin. The name is a reference to the story of Odysseus. Look it up if you're interested.

mkay mkay mkay, this is my first OC in a while so bear with me
Name: Roddy Stetson
Rank: Lt. Colonel
Age: 24
Title: The Liquid Alchemist
Other: Special Ops/ hand to hand combat [Hero/Survivor of Ishlavn war]
Roddy began studying alchemy at the age of 5 and excelled in water manipulation, especially the art of removing water from living things. Her skills became very useful during the Ishlavn War where she was assigned to a special ops group who went far into the desert searching for deserters. She served as Captain under Lt. Colonel Davies.
On one of these missions meant to last only 8 days their group got lost due to poor navigation skills and planning by their leader. 25 days later they returned to camp, several men had lost their legs or arms in the desert, the Lt. Colonel was reported to have been killed by Ishlavans.
Because of her bravery and brilliant leadership skills (despite her young age) in leading her small troop back to camp her rank was elevated to that of her previous commanding officer. To this day neither her, nor her men will talk about what happened in the desert. However, there are rumors that the troop survived by drinking the 'life water' of Lt. Colonel Davies and their own limbs.
other fun facts -Her troop was left stationed in Ishlavn to prevent the threat of an uprising -Her troops are highly loyal to her and extremely secretive -Transmutation circles tattooed on the soles of her hands -Posses an outwardly sweet demeanor which wins her man admirers and supporters and allows her to fly under the radar -People think the sweetness comes from frying a brain cell of two in the heat -Shows little regard for Central's authority -Not excessively ambitious -Often in Central on buisness -Rumored to drink the "life water" of the leaders she defeats

Name: Ivy Elric Age: Unknown Nickname: None Gender: Female Codename: The Shadow Alchemist Appearance:  She is the Elric brother's sister. She never met them because when she was 5, she left home to train with Itzumi. She appears more like Trisha, but has a kick-@ss attitude like Edward. Her alchemical ability is to change forms using alchemy. She can also detach parts of her body, and change the appearance. Ivy has a wolf, that looks like this:  Ivy is sly, and witty, and a great liar. She is quick and agile. She has sharp senses. When Ivy was around 12-14, her wolf, Luna, died. She had revived her at the cost of half of her arm. But Ivy didn't want half an arm, and thought If I could get something in return for the rest of it, what would be most helpful? She decided to give up the other half of her arm for access to the Gate forever. The trade was made and they gave her access. She had gotten automail from Winry. Her Best friend is Night, a chimera that had been fused with a phionex. Name: Night Age: 17 Nickname: None Gender: Female Species: Chimera-Phionex+Human Appearance: She had red tattoos that wrap around her arms. She had dark brown hair, and crimson eyes. When she was younger, her parents had died in a fire, and she was left alone wandering central. She happened across a scientist by laboratory 5, and he dragged her inside, not giving her a chance to defend herself. Before she could figure out what was going on, she became a chimera- a human merged with a phionex. When she escaped their cruel examinations, she ran into Ivy and Luna. That is about it for now.

I think you would be able to-
If you studied alchemy while you were enlisted, and then took the test, you could be promoted.
And I think... "when he returned he was rewarded to state alchemist for saving his troops from a large assault of ishbalians." Is supposed to say
"when he returned he was rewarded for saving his troops from a large assault of ishbalians."
I think It's possible. Because to become a State Alchemist- I mean- Even Edward- while Roy recruited him, had to take the test. I think that even if you were in the military, and an alchemist- That doesn't mean you're a STATE Alchemist.
When he got back from the war, I bet they realized his talents as an alchemist and could've very-well promoted him to State Alchemist.
