Embala looked back, "Don't worry. Not many will be there. The warriors will be out on patrol and the rest should be out gathering. There will stil be a few who can't go far though and scouts are posted so no-one can attack while no-ones there." She said almost reading her thoughts. "And they're used to dragons." she shrugged. "Kasumi's been here for years." She tuned back to Kasumi, "I think Mia left some on the window sill for you."
Kasumi chiruped ((yes, I know it's a bird sound))happily as they entered the village unchallanged. She saw them on the sill and stretched her neck out to snatch them. She ate three before Embala could snatch one.
Embala brought it over for Paradisity, "Here, try one. They are nice." The village was full of houses that looked like huge wooden cubby houses with no stairs. and surrounded them now completely. They were in the heart of the village.
"Are those my Veal cakes?" came a musical voice from within the house where Kasumi had snatched the food.
Kasumi grinned sheepishly. "Hello Mia."

Paradisity made her way carefully through the trees so as not to crack the paste, or hit her head or anything on them. The trees were slightly lower to the ground then she was used to, but she managed.
They made their way through the thick trees and came up to a gate of some sort, the entrance to the village. The clearing was vast, with larger trees for coverage, but there was much room to stretch.
The houses were quaint and simple. They must have spent most of their time outside. The group approached one particular house where Kasumi had eaten her fill in the muffins they had talked about. Embala offered Paradisity one.
She sniffed at it. It smells interesting enough, but I can't afford to be picky. It's been too long since I've eaten last. Thank you, she said. She took the muffin in one of her claws and ate it. The taste was unbearable, she was more attuned for fish. She didn't want to be rude so she said, Thank you for the muffin. It will tide me over until I can find another food source.
She jumped when she heard another voice from the small hut. But Kasumi knew the being.

Mia stepped out of the hut and looked at them. "I see you have a new friend Embala." She said as she gazed at the great Star Dragon.
"Mum, this is Paradisity." she introduced them. "and Paradisity, this is my mother and co-leader of our herd, Mia."
"It is a pleasure to meet you great dragon." Mia bowed with her fist over her heart.
Kasumi looked at Mia, "you don't have any more veal cakes do you?" she asked hopefully.
Mia laughed. "of course I do. But you will have to get them later as they are still cooking."

The pleasure is all mine miss, Paradisity bowed back. If I may, she continued, can I ask how you new I was a star dragon?
She laid down, as a sign of respect, but she caught her slightly outstretched wing on a stack of logs. She tried to lift it back up, but the paste prevented her from moving it enough.
Embala? Are you sure this is supposed to fix my wing? It's getting harder to move it, she said as she struggled not to crack the paste.

Embala nodded and helped free her wing. "The past hardens so the new skin can grow with out being damaged or stretched, or torn." she explained.
Mia looked at her calmly. "I have heard the stories. And I have seen many dragons, none of which are as unique as you. You radiate power, child. Only the older dragons have such magic."

Thank you Embala, Paradisity said as she carfully put her wing down.
She looked at Mia. Ah, stories, she said dissapointed. She had hoped that she had seen another star dragon, but that was silly to hope on.
I am 15 summers, Paradisity said shyly. Is that not old? I don't have any more power than other star dragons. I can control all four elements, but others of my kind have control over some of the elements too.

Mia nodded. "So where is it you're all going?" she asked them.
Kasumi piped up excitedly, "Paradisity is going to teach me how to use my water affinity."
Embala nodded, "We're going to the Crystal Lake."
Mia smiled at them. "A fine place to practice magic. It was good to meet you." she said to the star dragon, "I wish you all luck and safe journey." She bowed her head as she placed her right fist over her heart and Embala did the same and then led them away, towards the lake.
((sorry it took me so long to post. I've been busy lately and have only had the time to post in a few of my rps.))

It was wonderful to meet you, Paradisity said. She bowed her head politely. Oh, I forgot something, she had made a promise a long time ago that she would make a star for every good being she met. She made one for Miss Mia.
So how close are we to this lake? I'm sorry, but I can't bend my neck like this much longer to walk through these trees.

"We're here!" Kasumi raced forward and dived into the water. Disapearing and barely rippling the water.
Embala stood on the sandy shore. "I hate it when she does that. It looks like the water ate her." She gave a small shudder.

The sun was mid afternoon high, at it's highest and brightest. The climate was much warmer than Paradisity's northern home, but it wasn't too unbearable. To most, it would be the perfect temperature. There was a slight breeze that glided through the trees and sky, blowing over the clouds to where they were just drifting, as if they were alive.
They walked through the trees as they began to get thinner and thinner when they came to a clearing. The lake was perfectly still, with ever so slight ripples from the calming breeze. The water was clear to the deep bottom of the middle, with the occasional cloud showing up in the reflection. Seeing as how she was taller, Paradisity could see, barely, to the other side. It was quite vast, but not comparable to her ocean by her home.
Oh how wonderful. I'm starving, she said thankfully. She walked to the water's edge and stood perfectly still as she searched for some fish. She spotted a good sized school. I hope I can do this with one wing, she said with a sigh.
She became eerily still as she consentrated deeply. It would take more effort than usual with one wing. She took a deep breath and waved her good, massive, wing over the water. She moved it back and forth, moving up slightly every time. She had to put her tail into it to help with the balance, but she managed to bring the school of fish up into the air in a bubble of water. She brought it closer to her and she took out the fish, one by one, and ate them.
She sighed. Oh that was delightful. I have grown so accustomed to salt water fish, but these are quite flavorful.
She was quite satisfied, and she laid down next to the water's edge to wait for Kasumi to come back to shore.
She lifted her head up. Goodness, it has been such a long time since I've practiced with the elements, I almost forgot I could control them. I had mastered them some time ago, so my control shall never fade at least.

Kasumi rose from the lake with a big fish in her jaws. She threw it into the air and caught it, swallowing it head first with one gulp. She grinned smugly and swam over to the others.
Embala found a nice sunny patch of grass and laid down on it ((she's sitting on her legs like a horse does when it lies down)). She absently places her hand over the ground infront of her and watches as light falls into the grass. She lifts her hand as a plant grows taller beneath it. When she judges it big enough she rips it out of the ground, revealing a wild carrot. She was so close to the water she didn't even have to get up to was it before she bit into it.
Kasumi stepped onto the sandy shore and her scales glistened in the sunlight. She looked up at the big dragon, "Shall we begin the lessons now?" she asked tilting her head to the side like a curious dog.

Paradisity stood up grandly, and looked down at her curious face.
Yes, we may begin. Now do keep in mind I will not fully be able to have control until my wing is fully healed, but for now I can teach you all the basics, she said knowingly.

"After a good night's rest, your wing will be fully healed." Embala put in.
Kasumi nodded, "I'm ready, but I can wait until tomorrow when you are fully healed if you like."

No no, that won't be entirely necessary. There are many things one needs to know and understand about the water, before one can begin to control it. That is, if they have that ability, Paradisity said calmly.
Now, she began. Water is more than the rest of the world percives it to be. It can be impennitrable, or you could not even know its there. Water is the most versatile of the four elements. There are many ways to control the water, she said peacefuly. She demonstrated. It can be the liquid that many know it to be, she help up a bubble of water. It can be a solid and fridged to the touch, she then turned the water to a block of ice. And finally, it can be as thin as the air itself. She she waved her tail over the block of ice, and it vanished into the air.
Though most would think it not to be, water is the most powerful element that one could come to control. Unlike the other three, water is both life and death. A rightly formed spear of ice could pennatrate almost anything, and as most know it, it brings life to everything you see around you, she said. She sent a ripple through the water that travled the enitre width of the lake.
Without the water, the world's natural balance would be disrupted. But within water, is balance itself. The nightly moon and every drop of water work together to keep a delicate balance. The moon is how my kind came to control the water. The natural push and pull of the moon on the water is the most basic control there is. Upon close practice and meditation, my kind were able to mimic the moon's actions, and began to practice with the water.
Paradisity began to move her tail back and forth, and the water followed. She looked back at Kasumi. Push and pull, yin and yang. It takes much meditation to create such a connection.
