 I think I've had more troubles with freebies than commissions. People will pester me every day to see if I started work on a free piece of art that I told them I might do, and if so, it would be when I had the free time.
I think the worst commission horror story I have, I spent about a week on a piece, they loved the WIPs and their friendly nature lured me into giving them an un-watermarked final product... which they then canceled the trade, and ceased to speak to me afterward. After getting a mod involved after patiently waiting for two weeks, the avatar suddenly became bare, and the mod said she claimed she was hacked 'recently' hacked.

I once entered an art contest and I thought my entry was clearly the best (we're not talking opinion, I'm talking the difference between high quality CG work and digital camera s**t here), but there were like two "secret" entries which they didn't show. There were only two prizes. Those two ended up winning. Yeah ******** right. rolleyes I looked them up later and saw that they had really mediocre art too and never added the entry to their rather active galleries. I'm pretty sure I was scammed here, but oh well, lesson learned.
Another story I have is when a girl commissioned me to draw her terrible, terrible frilly violet-colored OC with some stupid character from Bleach or something and I accepted because she was offering heeeaaaaps of gold. I had nearly finished the drawing when she got banned for botting.
I had to PM an Admin and she told me to send her the art and she'd transfer the items to my account. I sent her the art and there was no response for months, when she had originally sent the message to me like a day after I sent a scamming report out xD I followed up every week, of course, I don't want to follow up months later only to be told "sorry, one month window of opportunity". Anyways, thankfully I got the items and the girl who commissioned me (I think) got her account back as well. All was good, but poor communication from Admins. All I needed was for them to accept the trade, it's not like I was asking for something horrendously complicated gonk

My worst experience was with an auction.
I had hosted my first solo auction, and it got AB'd for 2.5 mil (and being my first auction, was a looot of gold. * A *)
I don't normally speak much to my clients during the process of drawing, so it didn't seem weird that we hadn't talked for the week or two following the end of the auction.
I had finished two chibis and a fullbody, and was ready to accept the trade, when I found out that they had been banned. OTL
The next worst experience was an auction that got AB'd, but the bidder never answered to give requests or send the trade. LOL
Such wasted time!

Banned or no banned, you know that all you needed to do was contact an Admin about it, right? razz

I think the only worst I got was having someone order avatar art, then after I told them I was finished with it they never replied back. I figure the person gave up on Gaia or something.

Well, do this: PM siskataya with the details and explain that the other admin/mod/whatever said that it couldn't be done and yet something could be done when a 'friend' of yours was in the same situation. I just reported the commissioner, told the report that she'd gotten banned, I'd finished her artwork and she couldn't accept the trade because of that, and whether they could transfer the items. If you have proof/records that she was buying from you AND the art itself, you should be able to PM Sis and tell her that you deserve your items back. Because really, if they did it for me, there's no reason why they shouldn't be able to do it for you :S

Just say that you thought it was impossible because the first few times you were totally rejected. That's their mess-up, not yours. Say like.. "after no positive response from anyone for months, I decided to PM you regarding my initial report after a friend who had been in the same situation suggested it to me". That should cover you XD

It took Sis three months to reply back to me gonk Something like that. I would make a fresh scamming report for the thing that just happened to you and just wait it out on the old matter sad No knowing when your letter will get to the top of the line.
