Our band room is pretty crazy, but for the most part we avoid having to clean it.
I remember one time in middle school, some of my fellow percussionists found a block of wood. We wrote our names on it, and then kept it in the percussion cabinet. 3nodding

I'd usually find candy wrappers, and some old oboes and baritone saxes.
Oh, how I'd love to find an alto flute..

Oh man. We have some people who hijacked one of the band closets for their own use. Now in that closet, one can find anything from Barbies to twead jackets. Not sure that I even want to go through it.

This past year, some kids always had a gallon of chocolate milk in their locker... and they drank it all the time eek I wouldn't be surprised to find empty milk cartons everywhere.....
Funny story: About 10 years ago when my band director decided to clean out the storage room, they found the Contra Bass Clarinet [my now beloved instrument blaugh ] and they thought it was ancient then! xd it's so old, it's serial number is only 3 DIGITS LONG surprised

Heh... i was reading though this thread and i was waiting to see how long it would take for the first person to fess up and say that they found a used condom in their bandroom.
It always happens, we all know it.
We really though never found anything in our band room, considering the fact that we never cleaned the thing, not once....

Alright every year at the end of the year the new band council and Mr. Jordan go to the band room and clean it out. This last year we actually had to pack up the band room and move it to two normal sized classrooms so it could be remodled, it took us two full days to do it and on the second day Mr. Jordan wasn't there cause his wife went into labor that morning and it's just a long story so here it goes for random stuff:
Giant pink stuffed dog in the uniform room 3 year old sandwich in the drum room A working scientific calculator under the piano (mine now!) Random messages from past guard girls in their cabnet Cheetos in the clarinet cabnet Alto clarinets (we didn't know those existed) About a knee high pile of dirt and junk in Jordan's office An army of empty gutair cases Text books Regular reading books Lots of bottles that once contained liquid...we think Two waterbottles with water in them from band camp (eeww) Pictures of the band in like the 80s (weirded out man) A shrine of broken drum sticks, also in the drum room A collection of papers, notes and other random things that Jordan couldn't find when he needed them, (some were a few years old) Tighty whitey in the drum room (of course) And the Peice di reistance: ~The dead body hanging over Mr. Jordan's office!~

After about 2 years of not giving the band hall a deep cleaning
-Loads of marching socks -7 1/2 pairs of marching shoes -a bra -a few half burnt reeds -a bunch of broken flip folders -tons of old music -huge super soaker -Lots of old photos -couple of letter jackets -Pack of condoms ((which had the name on it!)) -5 cans of pringles -35 drum sticks -3 1/2 pairs of shoes -half a clarinet -A bunch of broken mouthpeices -A very banged up baritone -Live mice in the teachers desk
thats all I can think of. Who knew band halls could get so messy sweatdrop eek
