I've caused more gonk moments for other people than received them orz... not intentionally!!!
There's been plenty of times I've misplaced orders... had people wait for months (>1 year occasionally) and who knows what else :sob: I'm surprised people still talk to me 8'D...
... I almost NEVER look at character descriptions or references until I actually start the commission... which... could be a few months after I take it... by when it's pretty late to bring up any issues I'd have with the characters rofl
... I also almost never check the trades to make sure they sent the right amount orz...
Most people are pretty trustworthy though XD;; I haven't been scammed badly...
I think one or two commissioners have forgotten to pay me (but that's like a 1% chance and only with small things)

I never once bought art from anyone (( hello cheap and asian girl. rofl )) so I never had any occurrences. But I did see people steal art and steal other people's OCs.
BEST ONE YET.
I was in the AF and one guy came up to me to draw him OC. That OC apparently belonged to Akira Kirai's Lexu whom I've drawn a couple of days earlier. rofl That guy ran off deleting him post. xDD AHAHAHA.

Oh. I just remembered too. My first auction. Guy bids. . .and wins. . .and runs away canceling his trade. wtf.

arrow I think I've gonk 'ed many of my customers with flabbergastingly expensive art (hey, what d'ya expect if you're the only decent shop around?)... XD
But anyways, since they have no other choice (coz most of the good art shops are either full or closed or more expensive than mine), they go ahead and order from me. heheheh. Though I've never had some serious complaints about my drawings except for some occasionally stingy people. gonk

I waited four months on this one artist with super-awesome samples.
I ended up with something borderline stick-figure art. < <
Hmm, I get peeved when people don't draw my Saa-chan right either D<
If you aren't sure of something, ask. goddammit. D:
On my part I'm afraid of the people who commission me who have
crazy awesome art of their OC already. It's like, um, don't expect
that much from me pl0x XDDD

If you steal other people's OCs, you don't steal ones that most of the
art community already recognizes. SRSLY. rofl

xD HA. I've seen at y!gallery someone take Croaky's art and her OC Akuma... and then say that indeed, this is their character, the picture was made for them from someone mysterious that they don't "remember". (Croaky's art is amazing. If you ever had a piece from her, you would REMEMBER it.) They were asking for art from a friend of mine, I tossed links up to prove my case. xD; Croaky is one of the popular artist at y!, that had to be the WORST person to steal from there.
=/ There sure is a lot of shops that say they're wonderful artists, when they're really just drawing on top of an anime screenshot. Have you guys run into those?

I've gotten scammed recently, the girl gave samples which, i stupidly thought where hers, they where traditional arts, and she wanted a june 07 letter so i accepted and she gave me a small preview of it, a tiny square of the picture so i trusting her completed the trade and she gave me @holds breath@
This pile of crap.
I replied to her PM stating that i would like my letter back and would give her gold for her work, and needless to say she lied and replied after she had transferred her items to a mule stating that she gave it to a 'friend' ansd they wont give it back. I told her what i thought she had done, piled all her items to a mule and she got angry with me stating she had been 'nice' and blocked me ¬_¬
I reported her though and screen shotted everything she had posted [she BAWWWLETED her posts but not before i gathered all evidence.]
My friend kindly donated the same letter to me which ive used to comission couple art of us both XD
I'm too trust worthy STO

Well i got a reply from Noraboo [the trade came from my mule Addictive tormet - mainly because of inventory organising woes at my main] so i sent the report from that account she said.. Quote: Hello, Thank you for making this report. It is obvious that the two samples you showed are copies/traces of existing art, and not her original works, whereas the work she gave you is an original drawing, which would explain the discrepancy in skill. I will certainly take appropriate action regarding her use of copied/traced art in commissions, as we do not allow this. Did you commission her expecting to get art that was similarly copied, or were you under the impression that her samples were original? This additional information would be very helpful, and the in the future please do be more careful when commissioning, especially when evaluating the samples given. Thank you, Noraboo, Gaia Staff

I told her i thought her samples where her own and not copied or traced...
So i dont know whats going on, i hope that they trace her mule and bannninate her.. but im sure they will just ban or WE her account she emptied :C
I just am too trustworthy, being a artist myself i couldnt give samples that are not my own i just urgh.

Yessum i usually use watermarks and i only ask for watermarked art now XD you live, you learn <3
@Anime yeah i doubt i will get it back, and not much will be done i hope they trace the trade activity.

I had this happen to me twice.
Which is sadly annoying.
One artist had great art samples and I saw her posting new art. So, I commissioned her. It took her FOREVER to start my art or even let me know if there was an issue for whatever reason. I can understand if there's an issue. I just need to know. Then what she did was rushed and no where up to the standards she had already done for the price I was supposed to pay. I didn't pay her. rofl
I did the same with another artist because it took her months and months to finish a gift art that I had asked for from her. Oh well, shortly after I finally got it I wasn't talking to the guy anymore.
I honestly don't mind waiting. I understand that life happens. I just would appreciate letting me know that you're having issues....not that any of you guys would do that.
