.Prince Snivellus.
Er. We are taught Japanese totally differently at my school...

And there are a few things that you posted that my teacher would consider incorrect... (Not that they are--my teacher is very formal.)

And... Ignoring a bit of the confusing parts and lack of organization, that's a decent guide! <3 Nice job, I like it. It's hard to find really good ones on Gaia.

Perhaps someone should make an alternative one, with formal usage, though... smile Or make your's clearer? XD;; I don't know. xD

Please PM me sometime on what you find incorrect! I'd be very intrested to learn. And yes, I consider this an "alpha" stage of some sort. ANd I also was taught conpletely diffently- the hiragana at elast and I HATED it. I'll include a desciption about it somewhere. I'm going to improve the forum definately by the end of semester and hopefully after... semester exams....blech... but I just learned a s**t load of kanji and I have 3 pages TYPED to put up there and spark notes and Did I say a s**t load of kanji with on, kun and imi reading along with stroke order WHICH IVE HAD TO LEARN MYSELF.
Ugh Im such a fish....

Hun, do you mean "wakatteiru"or "shitteiru" when you said "do you know/understand" (iteru)?

by the way you're conjugating the te-form it seems the plain form of the verb is iru. The only iru verbs I know are "to be" and "to need" and "to need" is conjugated as a u-verb. Do you understand what I'm saying?

Nope. Not a word actually mrgreen
I'm in Japanese I, taking it as a class and verbs are after semester exam. Out teachers taught my class iteru means do you know/ do you understand.
I'll write it down and look into it later (we've covered a bit of verbs, but not enough to where I'm comforable putting what I've learned up here) I wouldn't have put that up in my post if I wasn't sure.... and I'm sure... I'm pretty sure its a shortened version/ there are different ways to say it.

Hmmm well I've been looking through my dictionaries and I can't seem to find any occurence of iru mean to know. I also can't find iteru has a stand alone verb. You shoudl ask that teach about that, I'm curious. I'm in level 5th semester of Japanese right now, so if you have any questions feel free to ask me.

This is cool. Thanks. This thread should help me loads. You are so lucky to have a decent school that teaches this language. I'm stuck trying to teach myself. sweatdrop

Thanx hun.

level 5th semester. Now that doesn't make any sense at all. I mean to just say 5th semester, but I somehow combined level 5 and semester together for some reason.
