Well I haven't really done this much but I'm going to start trying to give a nice warm welcome to people posting, instead of just reading introductions smile
So for the record: Welcome everyone who's posted previously biggrin
LoverOfIceAndStars: You sound like me about 9-10 months ago (ish), been poly but never knew it had a name (or for that matter a community, or for that matter that it was a valid relationship style o.o). So I'm very glad to have you about smile The guild in general isn't all that busy at the moment, but hopefully we'll have more going on in the future.

Helloo, my name is Laurel, and I'm seventeen years old. I'm a straight teenage girl living in Georgia. As of right now I'm in a monogamous relationship with my boyfriend of almost a year, but I've been looking into Polyamory, and figured this was a very good place to gather more information, and have people to talk to who won't judge me. The only friend I spoke about this with was very mean about it. He said some very hurtful things.
I won't get too much into my situation right now unless anyone is really curious to know, but it's really causing me a lot of guilt and is not too much fun. :/ I just hope I can make the right decision, and that everything will work out.

Welcome to the guild, please feel free to ask any questions you like and post about anything concerning you.
I'd just like to say this right now: there is absolutely no reason to feel guilty. I know when I was your age (and a touch younger) what it was like to live with that kind of guilt. But honestly there is nothing to feel guilty about loving more than one person. A lot of people do, at least you are being honest about the possibility of it happening to you.
If you ever need to talk and don't want to post in the forum or the guild but want a one on one type chat I am always open to listen and talk if you'd like.

Thank you very much! <3 I think I'll post a thread in the Polyamorous Pondering subforum, and tell my situation.
Yes, I know, but it's just hard to get over the guilty feelings. I guess because I've been in monogamous relationships all my life, and loving someone else was considered cheating...which actually did happen a few times. :/ So I always figured I was just an awful person, and that I couldn't commit to someone...etc.

Hi~ My name's Yumi, but you can call me RC, I'm seventeen (turning 18 next month!), female, and bisexual with a preference for guys, although I do have frequent crushes on girls that never get me anywhere. I'm a total nerd, I love Firefly/Serenity, I've seen every episode of Cowboy Bebop multiple times, and I loved the movie, I grew up on Outlaw Star, Gundam, and Tenchi Muyo, and one of my favorite novels is Enders Game... is it so obvious that I like space? haha. I'm also an artist, although my scanner broke the other day so I've been frantically trying to find a way to get my artwork loaded onto my camera without looking like crap D: Currently, I'm in a monogamous relationship with no plan to turn it into a polyamorous relationship, I'm kind of just trying to get this relationship stuff down first before adding more people into the mix, as I tend to be very shy and antisocial... I also ramble, if you couldn't tell smile

Hey, I'm Shay. I'm fifteen, but not like most teens who just want attention from using labels like bisexual or things like that.
I'm lesbian and single. I love music and movies, I want to do the make up and gore effects for horror movies. I'm a procrastinator and I don't work hard unless it's something I really care about.
I don't really know what else to say, so if you want to get to know me then send me a message and talk to me.

Hello I'm Huni-Sempai or Hun, if you're from Baltimore.
My husband and I have been "open to other loves" for 5-6 years now. We have a strong relationship and consider ourselves the best of friends.
We have 2 awesome kids (13 & 12), they make us laugh. A black diva kitty name Bella, and a smart, cream-color, puppy named Viggo. whee
We are your typical boring pagan family. Or as my daughter likes to say, "Ya we're weird, but your strange." blaugh
I'm thirty-something, (don't ask I'm not telling) Bi, dark and petite. Studying to be a Interior Designer, working with my hunny at his internet testing business.

Hello everyone. I'm Sarah, though you can call me Rah if you want. It's up to you. smile I just turned 17 two weeks ago, and I am a lesbian.
I do consider myself poly, even though I tend to stay with only one person so far.
I'll be a high school senior in September. I can't wait. I can already tell that this year is going to be busy, busy, busy. But that's fine with me because I seem to love having things to do and I apparently work best under stress. :3 Not to mention, I can't really stand having nothing to do with my hands.
I consider myself Pagan as well, though my entire family is Christian. I'm still in the broom closest though. Any relatives that I have on Facebook/MySpace and that have looked at my profile already know that I'm not Christian (or at least should know) though no one has said anything to me about it, surprisingly. I finally bought my own deck of dragon tarot cards, but I have to keep them hidden due to the fact that my parents aren't too keen on the idea of Paganism, let alone tarot cards. :c

Welcome, welcome, welcome everyone biggrin
Good to see a variety of new faces around. Hope you all enjoy the guild and what it has to offer.
@Rah: Oh I remember the broom closet quite well, it's a bit stuffy at times. Hope that once you get more independence from your household you won't have to hide it so much. I hope the ddeck you chose serves you well smile Which reminded me I have been neglecting my totem deck... thanks for the reminder I'll have to break them out sometime soon.
@Huni-Sempai: Glad to hear of such a strong and loving relationship. Also Interior designer? That sounds like a pretty fun line of work (challenging and difficult, but I've always found it facinating and a little fun.) Good luc kwith your studies smile

Hi! I'm Lore (pronounced lore-uh) and I'm from Minnesota. I'm currently a student at the University of Minnesota. I'm studying English and Linguistics and am working towards taking Language Proficiency Exams in German and Spanish. I'm 20 and am heteroflexible.
My boyfriend and I are currently in a poly relationship that's worked out quite well so far. We're doing our best to talk to one another and people we want to date about things so there's no confusion or hard feelings.
It's nice to finally have a community!

Hello all! I'm Leif, Matthew, or Matt, whichever you prefer. I was introduced to the concept of polyamory by my good friend Mameoyashi here and for the past few months my girlfriend and I have both since decided to be open to others (still just the two of us for the time being, though).
I had been developing bi-curious feelings for... hm... I would guess about a year. This year I finally determined that I am actually bisexual, though except for around some of my closest friends (or some places on the internet) I am still "in the closet."
At 16 years old, I am a bit younger than most people (at least those that I know of) that are part of the polyamorous community or in poly relationships. However, I feel that age as well as gender and societal standards of monogamy should not limit love.
Beyond details of my love life, I am also part of the "Furry" community, a very active, rambunctious group of people (if you'd like more details on that, feel free to talk with me). I've been a huge gamer since about age 5 and am still absorbed in Team Fortress 2, various RPGs, pretty much whatever catches my eye. I am recently getting into tabletop RPGs and am attempting to start a DnD group in my hometown with some friends (hopefully one that may eventually become a World of Darkness group as well).
Beyond that, that's about all I can think of about me. I hope it will be a pleasure to meet you all and I will see you around!
Leif/Matt

So crap. I say I will keep up with the thread an dsya hi to people as they come. I apologise for not having done so for the last little while. I've been quite distracted from the guild and have been trying to keep the thread in order (aannd my life for that matter XD).
So! A little late but welcome Red Ilsa, I'm glad to see you in the guild and around. Sorry the community is sort of slow sweatdrop
And Leif, well, welcome dude XD I've already talked to you about going and stuff, but I really am glad to see you around. smile

Hi! My name is Blaze Divka (Good Girl in Czech) or Julia IRL. I am new to the world of Polyamory. My boyfriend/domme and I are in a Possessive relationship which means (for those that don't know or if I'm using the wrong terminology) that he is free to have 2nd partners however I volunteered to be only with him, partially because I get confused when I see multiple people outside of regular relationships anyways and because I have extreme devotion to him. I am more used to monogamy in any case. I have no problems being Poly but I am still getting used to the concept in general. In any case I am here to make friends and discuss lives with other people. Hopefully get some support and offer some to others as well. biggrin
