I think she just needs to lose the boots maybe but she fits the personality.

Hi, i know i'm new and all. They may have to incorporate more than one book at a time into the movie. A lot of actors nowadays are either really old and have lots of experiece doing awesome things, or really young, hot, and haven't quite gotten the hang of it yet. But i think a lot of it will be Laurell's decision, i i'm sure we can all trust that she'll do what's right for the books, and how she wants every individual portrayed. And now that i'm all psyched on that.... *does a happy dance in the corner*

You know, for Anita, I think Monica Bellucci(Sp?). I was watching Matrix Reloaded/Revolutions and Tears of the Sun and was like...Woah! I think she could pull Anita off...She just needs to work on her accent.

I was talking to a fellow fan at my school, and she mentioned "the chick who played a cop in Resident Evil".
I don't know who she meant, but she thought that the actress would be a really good choice.

i think Cathrine Zeta Jones would be a good Anita. Stuart Townsend I agree would make a pretty good Jean Claude. 3nodding

Does anyone know who took the contract or who will be directing and producing the film? Don't get exited yet people, hollywood is fantastic at ******** up really great books by making them movies. GoD! gonk Don't forget what they did to Stephen King's masterpiece Carrie.
Monica Bellucci would never work, she's just to damn tall to be Anita. It's important in order to pull off her character that she be short.

Sometimes even though someone buys the rights to a book to make into a movie it doesn't always happen and there are usually time limits on how long they have to make a movie from a book. I found that out on a chat site for a Diana Gabaldon book and the rights were bought up but the had like 5 yrs to decide to make the movie and after that time was up the author was given her rights back. very complicated and very unpredictable. I do hope it happens but I won't hold my breath or be tooo surprised if they screw it up royally !!! neutral

I'm not sure how many of you guys are following the movie events, but here's what I've found in the forums: laurellkhamilton.org I just read that LKH said there was going to be a movie at the wolf howl? And that Jason Alexzander was going to be part of the process. That it was a done deal? I thought LKH was not going to do a movie becuase she didn't like what hollywood did to books. Is this truth or fiction? --- Truth! She broke the news at the wolf howl on 10/19/5. She also said Jason Alexander of "Seinfeld" fame is "attached to the project" and that she "is working on the script." But that was all she had to say about it. Other than what she always says at every booksigning I have gone too, and that is "Don't ask me to tell you who I think should be cast as any of the characters and do not tell me who you think should be cast." (reason being it almost started a riot at one of the booksignings in the past-she didn't explain that this time, but she has explained it several times in the past) I have heard "rumors" about other details of the deal, but until LKH or her staff anounce them....that's all they are and therefore I will not repeat them. The only thing we have at this point as FACT is that 1)the contracts for a movie are signed and 2)LKH is working on the script and that 3)Jason Alexander is attached to the project. --- ADMIN: Digitial Domain and Angel Ark productions (Jason Alexander's production company) have optioned the right for a movie of Guilty Pleasures. Laurell will be doing the script herself. Normally, Laurell does object to how Hollywood sometimes butchers books, however, she does have final approval of the script, which she is writing. So we are expecting this to be exactly like the book or so darn close it won't matter. And looking forward to seeing Anita on the screen. A formal press release is in the works and I will post that when it when I receive it from them. They also talked about the idea of doing voiceovers to cover the internal dialogue, without admin comment. Then I got tired of reading debates over actors and what counted as hardcore porn... scream Anyway, just thought people might like an update...

its been a while since i've been on here and i'm soooo excited that they are making a movie on one of her books. no matter what, i know the book will be better because nothing beats your own visual to the characters. no actor/actress can live up to your own standards. i'll still have to see ot of course biggrin
