As the others board the ship, a fierce battle is taking place on the runner directly behind the grand vessel. Desdemon and Kerobian, two long-hated rivals, have finally met in a battle for total domination. Neither of them can live with the knowledge of the other's life. As their swords clash and the ring of steel on tempered steel sounds across the ocean, the message is quite clear. One of these two fighters won't get out of this alive.

off to one side of the fight a small fox fades into view.... she takes in the fight and decides to help... creeping around until she is close enough to cast a spell without making it too strong and risking detection... she casts her favorite little foot be stuck on kero's opponent... unfortunately she catches his eye.... the spell sticks though... causing him to stumble as he turns in her direction

realizing she's just in the way, fox teleports to austin's side... he's pretty good with that blade, isn't he... she comments looking around... why don't we clean up here and get this mess under control while he keeps that ugly bit of nothingness under control.... hmmmm?

Aye... pirate He most certainly is...(Austin turns to Lyssan) Get what you want I'm staying...(turns his head back to the dual) (Austin pauses as Kerobian Blocks a blow but falters slightly.Austin clenches his teeth and his concentrated face turns to a worry) He cant win....The opponents loose but balanced perfectly watch how he parries Kerobian's blade. He's up to something.... mad ( Austin puts his hand cautiously next to his gun) I want to see what he does do me a favor Captain go to The Brigantines Captains Quarters and find his journal, gun, swords, and cloths.

Finally, after a complex attack, Desdemon manages to knock away Kero's sword. At the same time, however, Kero's hand sneaks out and disarms Desdemon with a simple nerve pinch. Kero kicks the sword away, and a new battle begins: Hand to Hand. Kicks and punches are flying faster than the eye can follow. It's obvious that both of these two have been trained in martial arts*

Desdemon: "You are nothing but a memory...a shadow of your former self. You go to Hell first...I'll meet you there and introduce you to my father, Raigiduon."
*Each has wound up grasping a limb of the other, ending in a stalemate. Suddenly, the two break apart and grapple with each other again, this time aiming for the various pressure points on the body. Kero gasps as Desdemon manages to strike his solar, but Desdemon pays dearly for his attack when Kero robs him of an arm with a brachial strike*

the fox is dragging a large chest across the deck towards austin.... damn counter spells... she grumbles as she drops down beside it... there's a big hole where the captain's quarters were... and things a burning all over the place... but i found this instead... she offers hopefully... it was sitting there completely unharmed... bespelled against theft and for protection, i suspect... not a scratch on it... damn near singed me tails off getting to it... whatcha think... it be holding sometin good, yah? pirate
