miname_sohma Marth's moves are a lot faster, and that speed is important when going against an opponent who is also fast, but Roy's attacks are stronger, but he's slower, which would be good against a perhaps slower opponent. xd Marth is stronger in pretty much every attack except B, throws, and counter. otherwise marth is stornger and faster, better wave dasher, faster faller, has better combos, can chain throw better than anyone in the game(roy can't even chaintrow). Please see [Pikachu]'s post on page 1 Just because roy's attacks have fire doesn't make him stronger.

Roy is not for nothing the onlyone who can measure himself in strenght with the heavyweights Ganondorf, Bowser and Donkey Kong while Marth can easely match the speed of Falco, Fox and Captain Falcon. Thats is also why Roy can KO a opponent with less then 80% damage while Marth cannot, though Marth can attack faster in less time and Roy cannot. Marth is also alot lighter then Roy, wich is also a fact and the reason for Marth to be faster. Their equal in the end with their only big differences being Marths speed and Roys power. Both are awesome characters when controlled by a skilled player and both are to be feared in the hands of masters, just like every character in the game for that matter (yes, even Jigglypuff and Pichu stare ) And as most people could guess, I choose Roy since my real name is Roy xd . Plus that Roy is the right speed for me, Marth is too quick for my likings, but I still have no problem with speedsters like Marth, Fox and Captain Falcon. And I just LOVE swords heart and Roys sword is just cool. For anyone who still don't get it.

AND THATS A BLOODY FACT THAT EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW BY NOW BECAUSE ITS DEPRESSING TO SEE THAT THERE ARE STILL PEOPLE WHO THINK THAT MARTH IS STRONGER OR THAT ROY IS FASTER.((I also don't know where Pikachu got his info from, but it is incorrect.))

roy all the way. he looks cooler, his specil atk. is better than marth's. he's fire which is the coolest element, he's run's faster and he has better sword skills

What the point of having power if you can't use it quickly? that like taking a huge hammer that you can just barely lift and swinging it at someone... you really think you going to hit them? Say they have a smaller hammer, but because its small there faster.. who wins? think about it. smile

Say they have a smaller hammer, but because its small there faster.. who wins? think about it. smile You have a point there, but I have fought against people who use chars. like Fox, Samus and Marth and I win more, eventhought that I have the slowest char. because my timing is very good. So it doesn't matter that the power type isn't as quick as the others, if you time right you still own them like hell.

Try facing Ken and then tell me that again lol best marth, no best player in the world I also believe roy is a lower tier than Falco (my fav =P) Any good marth will do substantially well again even a pro roy although not to say that marth is unbeatable in that match it really all goes down to the people who play.

1.marth not being able to KO in under 80% haha, u have obviously never seen marths combos that end in dair(its a spike)
2.if u use marths sweet spot, otherwise known as the tipper, he has as much knock back as roy does
i now u mean well, but get your facts straight, roy is my main too, but in order to be the best you have to know the real specs of your opponents, sorry about calling u a noob

I suggest you stop being a Roy fanboy and accept the facts. My information I provided is 100% CORRECT. How about you redo all of my information and 'correct' me then. I DARE YOU. Marth has more stronger moves then roy does. GET TI THROUGHT YOU MIND. Btw, I got my info from people on the smash world fourms back room. (people in there go throught the game, measuring EVERYTHING, speed, strength, FRAMES.) It is a proven fact that MARTH IS BETTER THNE ROY PERIOD. THE BEST ROY PLAYER WOULD LOSE TO THE BEST MARTH PLAYER. So stop your boy-love for roy and face the facts. I obviously know more then you. HELL I EVEN GAVE THE DAMAGE PERCENT FOR EACH ATTACK.
