I loved Twilight at first. I read the series, and it was one of the few books my friends and I could talk about without them getting lost (my friends are not avid readers like I am). It was fun for a while....

Then the movie came out! I was horrified at how awful it was! The casting was off, they skipped some of the best parts, and Edward was so creepy! I think from that day on I haven't so much as touched the books.

Now I just think Twilight is overrated. The series wasn't awful, but it's not my favorite book series any more. I'm not putting down anyone else's opinion, I'm just one of those brutally honest people.

The first Twilight was what it was, a romancy preteen vampire novel (that doesn't mean older fans can't read it of course biggrin ). It was a decent story that my sister really got into and had me read. The first book was a quick and easy read.

The second one really slooooowwed down in the middle and was tough to get though. Then... vampire mutant baby... it started out as a preteen romance and then ended on a pretty mature note. That was where it got off the beaten path for me.

I'm a fan of old school vampires, so it wasn't my cup of tea. I saw it as a stepping stone for bigger and better novels. For people that didn't normally read vampire books or fantasy novels it was a door opener. *hands sister books*

I really like the twilight series. I read it rather quickly. hehe. The movies are alright. I like the New Moon director much better than the Twilight director. New Moon was closer to the book which made me happy. I can't wait to see the next one!! hehe. xd
