((OOC: So don't make them so long? xD))
Ely couldn't help but pass off her worries after his poke of fun; she couldn't be serious this early in the morning with him making strange jokes. Besides that, she couldn't be late to classes today either, after her oddball day previously...
And so the elf followed along, getting onto class as well.
*~*~*~*
What awoke in the second year Earth student's dorm room was not an elf, but a zombie; reaching over, the waking undead managed to knock over the squawking alarm clock.
"FOUR O' CLOCK! FOUR O' CLOCK! F-..." And it came unplugged.
Ely rolled over, huffing as she sprawled across the ivy green comforters. One astoundingly green eye cracked open, blurred with sleep and mass confusion.
...Why exactly was she awake at four in the morning?
Silken silver threads flashed through her mind, enveloping a pair of piercing metallic eyes... All at once, the zombiefied elf shot up with her hands tangled up in her hair; she had agreed to go to detention with Sky... But was he even serious? Cutting her eyes at the balcony window, she thought about the situations...
Perhaps he was serious... Ely doubted it, though; what could he possibly want with her being in his detention...? Deciding to ignore the possibilities and just go with the current plan of action, the sleepy second year dragged herself from bed. If he were out there then that was all fine and well. If there was no one, then at least Ely would have time to get to the cafeteria before Sam and her cheerleaders had time to harass her...
After a shower and change of clothes, Ely fumbled around her messy room in search of her books. Figuring it was probably going on 4:40, she grabbed whatever she could, deciding to hurry on out. If Sky were waiting outside, Ely was almost fearful of taking any more time than was necessary and making him late to detention...
Her nose wrinkled slightly as her train of thought jetted off in a different direction, leading her to wonder why he had detention... Perhaps it was the cafeteria incident with Sam...?
Deciding not to mull over it now, she headed out the door, locking it behind her.
The elf shuddered, reaching the top of the stairs; it was too cold for her, point blank, and she nearly retreated back into her warm dorm. However, she couldn't move anywhere but forwards upon catching sight of her silver-haired companion. Something about him being there caused the little elf to forget the cold and the time as a little grin bubbled its way to the surface, meeting her eyes.
Ely seemed to skip down the stairs in a flash and bounce her way to the fire student's side; glancing up at Sky, she tilted her head curiously, narrowing her eyes. Her smile remained constant all the while.
"I'm surprised to see you; I didn't think you were serious about this." the second year nodded, hugging her books to her. She was bundled up this morning in a long sleeved turtleneck and pants today, but it was still more biting than she'd hoped for, although she noted that she didn't feel as cold next to him as she had felt at the top of the stairs... Another mental note to be cached for personal use.
Shivering away a cold chill, Ely stood up straight, glancing off into the dark distance before looking back at the fiery male; he was the lead today. Again. Ely realized that she had a habit of following him for some strange reason...

(( OOC: ;-; You first. ))
Flick. Click. Flick. Click.
Clasped within slender digits, was the familiar sight of a metal encased lighter, the top of it being lifted and snapped shut in sluggish succession. Misty clouds streamed from his mouth as the moisture crystallized in the frigid air…the appearance of it reminiscent of just three years before. An urge that never seemed to release him, the silver-haired male found himself yearning for nicotine…
Ah well…so much for that.
Such thoughts fled from him however at the sight of the second-year female, her shorter frame bundled up…though not enough in his opinion. With Skyeles being a fire student, he was capable of casting a flame that kept him warm in just his regular uniform, only requiring an insignificant amount of energy to keep the spell constant. This earth student however…
Leaves fell in the winter. Enough said.
Tempted to request that she put on a second jacket or something, the fire-student instead chose a more characteristic tactic: invading her personal space. Placing his lighter within one of his innumerable pockets, the fourth-year male waited for Ely while she approached, listening to her words with a slight smirk and half-lidded, sleepy eyes. “Well what kind of gentleman would I be to have invited you and not come to pick you up?”
Honestly, he had only somewhat expected that the elf would come out to meet him. Though, he felt some pleasure in seeing the little second-year once again, even if he was not entirely sure why. After all, her beauty was neither that of a model’s nor something that made men drool over themselves. She was an earth student…not typically his fondest breed of company. And yet, as she bounced her way towards him, the mock-prince found his lips twitching heavenward just a bit more.
She ate in his presence, unlike the girls that either starved themselves or became too self-conscious around him to digest. Ely even tolerated his little games and quirks, accepting his bet without even half the hesitation he anticipated. And her laugh…was infectious.
Perhaps, could it be…was he actually valuing someone for what was on the inside?
Oh, and who said he was shallow? Once the younger female was standing beside him, the mock-prince began treading the path with a lethargic amble, as someone does to observe the scenery. While walking however, the male surreptitiously raised his arm behind the female before gently placed it around her shoulders. Tenderly tugging the wild-haired female closer to him, the silver-haired male kept his gaze straight forward, in what seemed to be either apathy or innocence.
With a wiry arm wrapped around the female’s shoulders and her body pressed too closely to his to be considered strangers, anyone would think the two were a couple from a distance. Though Skyeles seemed oblivious to such consequences. After a moment, liquid metal eyes deviated from the falling leaves to collide with brilliant emerald irises, a brow rising as if to challenge her, typical smirk in affect. Shrugging his shoulders, the male continued walking towards the main education building, his detention awaiting the pair.
“It’s to keep you warm.” He offered in curt explanation, his gaze remaining forward and his voice lacking in emotion. Though he appeared indifferent, his gesture was friendly enough to compensate, right?
Dormitories for fire students were most the isolated from all the other students, mostly because all three of the other elements were capable of complementing each other. Those branded by flames however, tended to remain with their own “kind,” and were hostile to those of other elements, as if their power inherently programmed them to be this way. Due to this however, the building for fire students was stationed quite a ways from the earth student dormitories, and although the walk was manageable, it would take the pair more than just a few minutes. This in mind, as well as Ely’s lack of warmth, the silver-haired male spoke again, his voiced drawled in his typical manner. “The walk will be a bit far…do you know any teleportation spells? It’ll be better than walking, I think.”

Ely simply shook her head at him lazily after his 'gentleman' comment, walking onwards with him. Sky, a gentleman? Maybe on the deep, deep inside... Just maybe. On the outside, he was haughty, deviously witty, insinuating, and the kind of beautiful that made anyone think twice about getting involved with him. He was the image of a playboy, only better-dressed and with better manners.
Becoming hyper-aware of Sky's increasing proximity, the Earth-student's gaze shot forward and she became a little tense, feeling her hairs stand on end seemingly. However, as the Fire-student's arm was raised behind her, she felt a deep scarlet blush rise from her toes to her scalp, her head throbbing as he pulled her towards him. Her feet moved forward unhindered, but her heart seemed to continually skip.
He's so warm...
Feeling exorbitantly self-conscious now, the little elf wrapped her arms around her books tighter, attempting to pull her shoulders in closer as she was suddenly flush up against his side it seemed. Ely could hardly hear her companion over the roaring in her ears, so she glanced up at him, in time to catch his challenging gaze. Looking away quickly, Ely's lips parted to blow out and finally breathe in, holding that breath again.
...Teleporation spells? No. None. She knew none. Ely's mind racked back and forth through her knowledge of spells, retrieving nothing except...well... Nothing. And as she was currently mentally hyperventilating, the second-year could not bring herself to open her mouth to speak, so she simply shook her head and shrugged minutely.
This would be the longest several minutes of her life if he insisted on walking like this. Ely wasn't uncomfortable... Not about being so close to him. She got the feeling that he wouldn't try anything 'stupid', so she wasn't afraid of him. But to be this close to someone, especially Skyeles, was discomforting on her part. She'd never been too overly fond of herself, so she'd never thought about being thrown into a situation where she'd be this near anyone...
But as Sky mentioned that it was just to keep warm, Ely breathed deeply, just trying to keep in mind that it was just for warmth... Just for warmth... Just for warmth. No other reason. The elf relaxed slightly at thought, although the smile that she plastered on quickly was only halfhearted for reasons unknown...
