For 2 dozen, 12+12=24
.2X+X=24
X=20
#1 = 4
#2 = 20

But they don't rhyme like in the poem... confused

OR is it? 2 dozen = 1212?

You summoned the riddle mistress and thus I appear. If you prefer a different type of riddle besides the who am I kind I have one to do with letters and words, and some to do with numbers, and I have word problems.

Q: I have two rings. I move by request.
If the mixture is not right, I just sit at rest.

Is #3 water? Two and two = two types of atoms and two hydrogen atoms (H20). There is hot and cold water. It is a wonderful gift. Water holds many droplets.
