Yukiko sighed, then even though she didn't really want to, she knocked on the door gently, but loud enough for anyone close enough to it to hear. Right after she knocked, she moved Adrian and Cody near the door. "It wasn't my idea." She stood in view just in case Rick or Yuri were to answer though.

Adrian nodded, mentally sighing and walking up to the front door, hesitating before he knocked on the door after finding no doorbell; gee, this was bad. His brother must already hate him or something!
"Hey, little guy. Care to get the door? Don't worry, I'm right here if it's a stranger," Alex said. As much as he didn't want to, he had to let Rick do it; he could really stand right now even if he wanted to.
"'Kay," Rick nodded, climbing off Alex and running to the door, reaching up and brushing the bottom of the doorknob; darn. Still too short. The kid then jumped up and turned the knob, jumping off when the door was open and looking at. . .his daddy? But he was inside! And this person looked different and was with. . ."Cody!" he exclaimed happily upon seeing the dog, dashing up to the dog and practically tackling him.

"Somebody's already hyper after a little nap, huh?" She played with Rick hair a bit. He was so cute. Maybe not something Dakota could handle. She was probably still asleep though. She needed it. Yukiko looked inside and saw Alex lying down. At least he was down instead of still walking around. Probably not for long though.

Rick nodded happily, flinching when Yukiko messed with his hair; he hated that. A lot. Except when his mommy was playing with it for some unknown reason to the little five year old. "Daddy's on the couch! Come on!" He ducked from under Yukiko and grabbed her hand, then managed to grab Adrian's and he started to try and pull them into the house. . .failing miserably.
Adrian couldn't help but laugh a little as he watched his nephew try to pull them in. Such a cute little kid. He liked him already! But, he started to think, glancing at Alex, was his father anything like this as a child? Or was he always a grouch. Ah, the wonders of the inner mind; no one could hear it!
Alex cursed softly to himself, making to sit up but stopping immediately when the room started spinning again. He probably said this before, but damn Shiro! He ignored his own troubles and looked at the front door, not particularly glad to see the three but. . .he wasn't in a position right now to protest.

Yukiko walked inside and looked at Alex. "Don't give me that look. It wasn't my idea to come over here. A certian somebody said he wanted to see where his big brother lived and possibly his nephew and sistr-in-law".

"You are the one that led him here," Alex snapped, falling back onto the couch and closing his eyes so he wouldn't have to watch the room spin. He really didn't want Yuri or Rick to know Adrian; it was a bad idea.
"Daddy has a bwo. . .bro. . ." Rick pouted; he always had trouble with that word, even if his spelling was. . .passable.
"Brother?" Adrian offered, smiling a little bit. Rick nodded happily, making the teen chuckle. "Yeah. I'm his brother. Making me your uncle."
"Cool!" Rick beamed, letting go of Yukiko and making his hold on Adrian tighter. "Mommy's still sleeping, 'cause she's been sleepy lately. But when she wakes up, you can say hi to her!"

"And you are also the one that told him to do whatever he wanted and he wanted to come see you. I just helped." She shurgged and looked at him, crossing her arms. He didn't have to talk like that. Yukiko turned around and went back to Adrian. "I'm Yukiko, by the way. I think I forgot to introduce myself earlier. Unless I already did, I forgot. . ."

"Hm? Oh, I'm Adrian! Pleased to meet you," the teen said happily. Then, realizing what he'd said, he blushed faintly and looked away, a little embarrassed; his private school always demanded formal introductions when teachers or new students asked for names. He then distinctly heard Alex mumble something and walked over to his brother with Rick, looking down at him. "Care to repeat what you said?"
"I said you're an idiot and I wish you'd go away," Alex said a little louder, not bothering to look up at his younger sibling.
Adrian blinked. "I see." He looked down at Rick, who looked back up at him with innocent confusion all over his face; how cute. Shame he had to be used like this. "Rick, I think Daddy needs a big hug."
"'Kay!" Rick giggled happily, letting go of Adrian and jumping onto his father, wrapping his arms around him tightly and buried his face in Alex's chest happily.
"Ah! Hey, come on!" Alex coughed and sat up, sighing slightly as he looked at the top of Rick's head; he was such a sweet kid. Strong, too, for his size and age. Almost reluctantly, he ruffled the kid's hair then hugged him back.

"Ah, so I was right. I could've sworn I heard a bit of your name while you were talking to Shin." Yukiko looked over at Adrian when he went over to Alex. How patiant he could be. . . unlike his brother. Name calling already? Seemed like they'd be getting along pretty quickly.

((Sure ^^)) "Shin? Oh! I remember him! And now that I think about it, you were there, too," Adrian said, taking advantage of the free space on the couch and sitting on it behind Alex, leaning on his sibling's back. "I love you."
Alex closed his eyes and took a deep breath, counting backwards from ten in an attempt at keeping calm. Then, he turned, bringing his legs over the edge of the couch and putting his feet on the ground, lifting Rick off of him and putting him on his feet, then standing up himself. "Hey, kiddo. Take Button and go to the kitchen. I'll come in a minute to make lunch."
"'Kay!" Rick marched over to Button, crawling on top of him and yelping when the fluffy dog stood up and carried his owner off to their destination.

Yukiko nodded then looked at Alex. Considering how he usually was, he was doing pretty good with staying calm. Or at least not trying to rip Adrian's head of or something. Not like he would do that. . . Hopefully.

((Stick her in Kaineg ^^)) "Wow. Someone's not happy," Adrian muttered, rolling his eyes. Then he yelped when he was forced roughly to his feet, faintly aware that Alex had lifted him up by his shirt front. "H-Hey! What gives?"
"You're a nuisance. Why can't you get the hint and stay the hell out of my life?" Alex growled, earning a mildly shocked look from Adrian. "I don't want anything to do with you and I don't want you interfering with my family."
"Geez. You're as stubborn as Father," Adrian muttered, wincing when Alex seemed to threaten to try and strangle him. The teen frowned, glaring at his brother in the eye. "Whether you like it or not," he began, placing his hands on Alex's hand and loosening its grip, throwing it down, away from his shirt, "we're brothers; related by blood. And there's nothing you can do to change that. I don't know what your problem is, but get over it."
Alex almost seemed tempted to beat Adrian up; almost. It was a bit of luck when he turned away and walked into the kitchen to prepare lunch, and he'd claimed earlier.

Yukiko just stared at the both of them. When Alex left, she looked at Adrian. He probably shouldn't have compared him to their father. That was a bad idea. If he was even thinking. "Rough. But I don't think you can really blame him," she said looking towards the kitchen. She kinda thought Adrian was lucky to still be standing.

"I feel that I can. My cat can act more mature," Adrian shrugged, fixing his shirt before sitting on the couch again, leaning on one of the couch arms. "I don't know what happened between them, but it still doesn't really give him the right to take it out on me. It's not like I did anything wrong." Che. Stupid brother. Day One, and he already hated him. This was really going to be smooth. . .

Cody had sat there and watched, sighing to himself a little, really wanting to growl at the two..tsk humans were so bad with their emotions. "Adrian..theres some things you need to know about your knew found brother..Alex, stubborn bratty and ill tempered as he is, is a genuinely good person. Whos had a lot of bad things happen to him, the child draws in bad luck like a magnet" the dog snuffed walking over and nuzzling up against adrians leg. "You cant tell him to get over it because he just got his life back..its been a very long time since anythings been normal around here, for awhile though things were normal..until..and yes it looks bad on you but those friends of yours, are a threat to that normalcy.." he shrugged, it was the truth.
"Heh even more against you is the fact that alex has a child and a wife now, even more to protect..which will make him even more grouchy" cody chuckled a little bit giving adrian another nuzzle, he wanted the boy to understand, while alex listened to almost no one he always had good reasons for what he did, and when he didnt he was jumped on so fast by them it wasnt even funny...
