Personally, I like the fruits basket anime and the manga...and I heard that they're making another series...although that was a while ago.
And I agree with meGgi e s t A e R I a, the ending of the Spiral anime was absolutely pitiful. It didn't answer any of the questions that came up in the series. I'm just so glad the manga didn't stop there -_-;
Another one is Fullmetal Alchemist...I watched the anime first, and the movie, and I thought it was pretty good. And then I read the manga recently. I can't believe how different it is! The manga is definitely better!

i still like naruto then and even now. i only read the manga so i don't know how the anime is doing.
a few animes that i thought started out really good but then bad:
-digimon = the first season was great. and the second season showed a lot of potential, but it ended in my opinion real badly.
-dragonball z = the first few arcs were good, but the buu saga and GT was just weird.
-death note (manga) = the beginning was great but after L's demise it started to get boring and the dialog mind-boggling.
-pokemon = no need to explain

hmmm i think it really depends on the anime/manga. some anime/manga get really bad, really fast. some manga stays good, but have extremely suck a** anime paired up with it (ex: Perfect Girl Evolution), and i guess there are a few anime and manga that just stay good althroughout. i can think of a few anime series that stayed good the entire time, but i haven't read the manga for those yet so i can't really compare it until i do, cause if there's one thing i learned from experience it's that manga is almost always better than the anime

-pokemon = no need to explain I actually loved the ending of the second series, and the second series is in fact my favourite of all five. The only thing I disliked about the ending of "zero two" was that it ended at all XD
At the time I read Death Note, I was 100% obsessed, so that manga could honestly do no wrong in my eyes XD didn't know what to expect after L's chapter ended, but I wasn't disappointed at all. Death Note has one of the best endings I've ever read :3
I have to agree with your on Pokémon however ^^ It seemed A LOT better when I was ten XD

Really? I haven't heard anything! But then again I don't really keep up with anime news ^^; But anyways, I kind of liked the anime as well, it stayed true to the manga for what it covered, and it was quite amusing, I used to hate it, but then I read the manga, and fell in love :3

I can't agree with you on that "complicated" comment, especially considering I read the manga beforehand and therefore knew what was going to happen....although, the manga was more complicated than the anime, and I didn't have a problem with that either ^^;;
A lot of people who only watch the anime comment that Death Note gets boring after L dies.

Negima anime... as they've always said its manga is 100x better than this anime... the manga is so detailed and have some CG on it background... in anime, the art is not so great, they could've used more vibrant colors like H.Suzumiya... a lot of the mangas cool contents were not in the anime too... im looking forward for Negima Returns (season 2) for improvement...
Haruhi Suzumiya... love the vibrant animation, opening/ending themes, and the hare hare dance... but thats it... the story is too boring, slow, confusing, and a lot of talking... disc one is more of an introduction and nothin really special goin on each episodes... theres a part where Yuki sits and read a book for 5 damn minutes... then Haruhi sang like one song and a half that took toll for the every byte of the DvD... and lastly, the ending didn't finished well... i almost made a closed space to myself after i've watched it... bcoz i got wasted 50 bucks for the DvDs... xd xd xd
Peach Girl anime/manga... the story is nice but its drawn like crap... they could've drawn them cuter/prettier... xd
Naruto... no comment... dont flame @ me... xd xd xd

Um. Murder Princess anime - The art was good, but it was just. . .strange. The manga could have had a better ending as well.

I agree. The anime didn't elaborate on the plot in any way. Instead, it cut away the detail of the manga and left us with a series of events in order to drive the plot. That's why I loved Negima!? so much, because it actually offered us lovers of the manga something different.
