the flute is an absolutly beautiful instrument i love it....iv been playing for 6 years...started in 4th and now im in 10th...has anyone ever played a piece called Kronos or Creed?

I'm always in a competition with my friends of who can you drive crazy...the oboe player hates us cause she sits next to the flutes and when we're playing we always hit her with our flute most the time by accident and we're always playing high loud notes in her ear! XD so much fun! I'm always tring to beat people at playing higher notes....I can almost play C sharp the one that's above the above staff! XD Yeah!!! Now if I could get that on a piccilo!

ohh... our flute section (minus about four of us who hate the rest of our section), sings their "Flute Chant" which is as follows:
"Goooooooooo, Flutes! Go, Flutes!
Flutes rock the best,
we are better than the rest,
we're wonderful, and fun,
just add music then your done,
we're better i swear than the (name instrument, in ours it's tubas) over there,
we are the Flutes! Go, Flutes!"
yeah.... (treason statement not for the weak of heart) they're part of the reason i wanna switch to brass.... that and the facts i like brass, and that our section's screwed next year.... no seniors next year, but there'll be like 8 juniors... but i decided to let the flute world know of our flute song.
another commandment: annoy colourgaurd at every possible moment.

mikichan229 i've followed everything except for 2,8, and 9. our tubas are too far away to annoy. besides neither of them are that fun to annoy. don't forget that thou shall poke every possible person within range with his/her flute. rofl! yeah! I do that all the time w/ a friend of mine that screams when we (other fellow fluteists) poke her. It's tons of fun in tense momments!! rofl

I unfortunately cannot participate in flute sword fights anymore,I just got a brand new Open holed/Bflat sterling silver headpiece flute biggrin

Oh, wow. I'm a huge disappointment. I have broken 1, 2, possibly 3, 5, 6, definitely 7, 8, maybe 10, 11 at times, 12 because that's kinda mean, and 13. Wow.... I've broken almost all of them. xd

On the sword fighting note....
My second year in marching band, we began and ended the show in the same spots, and we had poses. There were three flute players in a bunch ( myself included ) and we posed like we were haveing an AMAZING sword fight. I was closest to the home hash, so I got down on one knee and 'blocked' all of the blows with my flute.
And have you ever tried shadow sword fighting? We get bored and mess with each other's shadows. It's hilarious.

the only time i have gotten hurt with an instrument.. i was holding my Ko ko and a dumb baritone ran into me... he kocked me out and my ko ko almost got hurt but luckily one of the people managed to pick her up before she got hurt
