Everybody is always saying "Bush is an idiot, Bush is an idiot, Bush is an idiot..."

STOP IT.

Saying he's an idiot won't change anything. Neither will b****ing about it in a forum. If you really think he's that big of an idiot, sign a petition to get him impeached or just wait for the 2008 elections (They're actually not that far off). Personally, I don't like him, but I don't hate him either. Also: think of what would have happened if George bush DIDN'T get elected president. Say one of his competitors did? Hmm? What then? Would you be trying to impeach him, too?

And to all you people who say "America is ruining the environment, etc.,":

It is true that America is largely contributing to the pollution and deforesrtation and the like, but [for people in other countries:] you guys aren't completely blameless, either. [For the people in america:] If you're that concerned about it, get up off your a**es and help out those who're trying to make a difference. In fact, everyone needs to do that. Get off the computer and help the environment!

And while I'm ranting: America is on a downward spiral and unless it can get its act together I'm moving to England. (This is also my escape plan if Hilary Clinton becomes President.) My friend from school, who actually helps the environment in any way that he can (and doesn't waste his time with computers, tv, and such) agrees with me on these subjects and will be moving to Italy if the oppurtunity arises.

I also agree with KamikazeSkies' idea of things.

I pretty much agree as well. Hello! He is your president. America has a system set up for when a president oversteps his bounds. Either use them or let me buy you a straw. he is the authority over you until his term is up you have no right to talk about him like that. If you truly think he bummed up this country than get him impeached.

Firstly, going to war with a country on false pretense is a HUGE mistake. Not to mention deceptive and flat out awful.

I hear people talk about the soldiers and talk about the crazy fanatics over there who need to be taken care of. However, as in any war, there are INNOCENT lives at stakes. Women and children account for at least 20% of civillian deaths in Iraq. The estimated of deaths due to the U.S. invasion is over one million. That's 20,000+ women and children (who are innocent) that are dead due to the war. It's not just a simple mistake. You can't undo it. You can't go back. You can't just say oops! and it'll be okay.

[antiwar . ibd

I don't believe in war. I believe that going to war was a stupid thing to do. On top of the innocent lives taken, our country's economy is suffering, our own friends and family are being taken, and we look stupid. There are many things that Bush has done wrong in his presidency. Look at our foreign relations. No one likes us anymore. As someone mentioned earlier, look at the amount of illegals getting into our country. Whether Bush is intelligent or not (although, I don't believe he's very intelligent), he's not a good president, and I'll be glad when he's FINALLY out of office.

Point blank: Our president lied to us, the people. He didn't like what we had to say, so he made up something to sway peoples' opinions on going to war. He has damaged our relationships with other countries, he has let illegals come in and take our jobs when the economy is crap enough. He is supposed to represent us, our country as a whole and, when speaking publicly, he doesn't seem to know what he's talking about half of the time.

[Bush on tribal sovereignty]

And for those of you saying to sign petitions, etc.. People have, I know I've signed numerous petitions. I know that I've tried to get petitions started myself. If you don't understand how petitions work, they aren't exactly easy, especially when there are a lot of people who don't agree with it.

A lot of people like Bush, despite how dumb I think that is, that's their right to believe what they do as well.

well, i gotta say, i think all religion should be allowed in schools. schools are a place we are forced to go, and yet they cut out religion? that sounds to me like we are forced into not carrying or religion with us. I can tell you right now, I am christian wherever I go, and NO ONE is going to tell me I can not pray/worship god. I will do so, and if they want to punish me, go right ahead.

I am tolerant and respectful to all religions, beliefs, and views. The only thing i will not be tolerant of IS intolerance.

and as to the war, I say get out. there have always been more people there defending themselves and their families than there ever were terrorists. And Afganistan attacked, not Iraq. definatly need to get the hell outta there and if we still wanna fight, go after the actual attackers.

anyway, i just wanted to make a few points. first, we were not founded on religious freedom, but rather, "freedom" in general. And the pilgrims were not the founders in amewrica, they are just one group who is overhyped. roanoke and jamestown came long before the pilgrims ever set foot in america. read up on history yourself!!!
And media does not rule my decisions and views, personal observance does, so you can not say that on me.

I have no problem with the supposed "radicals".

lastly, I will say this right now, and I don't care what you think of it: BUSH IS A BAD PRESIDENT. HE NEEDS TO GET OUT NOW! (and card, it is because we are americans that we have EVERY RIGHT to talk bad about him. HE IS NOT OUR ATHORITY! hello, ..."by the people, for the people".... ) If the government worked the way it claims to, he would have been gone a long time ago. (and petitions don't work. they are ignored. they are way of getting people to be peaceful, rather than uprise.) the people don't like him. others countries dont like him. I dont like him. i disliked him since he "won" the first election. (I'm not convinced of either "win")

as for the England idea, sounds good. I'd stick with Canada, personally, but whatever.

......Did you miss my memo or something? It's only about 2 posts above yours. READ IT, FOR GOD'S SAKE.

Oh, and by the way, guess what? Me and my friends signed a petition at a school rally. The petition got about 150 votes, give or take a few, and about half of the people have AREADY GOTTEN RESPONSES.

Guess what the best part was! It was about putting Christianity back into schools! Not as a course, but there would be no restrictions on it, either!

And while we're on that subject: Guess what year the crime rate in america went up? The same year that Christianity was taken out of public schools. Geuss what year the suicide/homocide rate went up? Same year Christianity got taken out of public schools.
GUESS WHAT THIS COUNTRY WAS FOUNDED ON.

...To all who said: "Christianity? Yeah right. It was founded on freedom of religion!" Take a look at what you just said. What can Christians in public school NOT do? Hmm? Carry a Bible. Pray to themselves silently. Wear a cross on their neck without putting every other religious symbol around their neck as well. Same with any posters they put up.

To all people who say: "I do not tolerate intolerance of other religions/lifestyles/etc..." Again, LOOK AT WHAT YOU JUST SAID.

GUESS WHY THE PILGRIMS LEFT EUROPE AND CAME TO THE NEW WORLD???

For those dusty on their History, it was because they couldn't practice THEIR religion the way THEY wanted to.

Guess what Christians can't do today in America? THE EXACT SAME THING. Only this time, there is no new world to go to! How exiting!

Get your facts straight, people. Quit blindly swallowing what the media tells you and find something out for yourself FOR ONCE IN YOUR LIFE.

And to all you who are thinking: "Oh this guy's crazy he's a nutjob he's being too radical" There is no way I can be radical ENOUGH for what I have to say!!!

So if you want to keep me quiet, you'll have to find me, tie me up, put duct tape on my mouth, and then kill me because as long as God keeps the breath in my lungs I WILL NOT BE SILENT.

.........Or maybe you should try signing a petition twisted

Firstly, If you think that a petition of 150 signatures is going to help, you're sadly mistaken.

Secondly, this isn't the thread to talk about his topic on.

Public Schools don't have Christian classes because schools aren't a place for Christian classes. They teach reading, writing, math, etc.. School teaches ABOUT religions, a lot of religions. I even remember learning about the history of Christianity a bit in World History.

You say that the pilgrims came here so they can practice their beliefs as they wanted to. So what if it was Christianity? You singling out Christianity is like going against what they came here for. "We want to practice our own belief of Christianity and we came here for that freedom, but if someone else wants to freely practice another religion, then that's not happening." Is basically what that's like saying to me, and it makes you sound intolerant, foolish, contradicting, not to mention arrogant.

Carry a Bible. Pray to themselves silently. Wear a cross on their neck without putting every other religious symbol around their neck as well. Same with any posters they put up.

I've never been to any public school where you can't wear a cross on your neck or carry a bible. I've worn crosses to school, and I've seen others wear many other religious symbols as well. Point blank, though... Religion is not needed in schools for them to serve the purpose that they're intended for. Why can't you wait until after school to go to a Bible study? Why does it need to be an elective you can take in school? If you really want to learn about the Bible in school, why not go to a religious private school? There are many options for you and others. There is no need for religion in public school. You are free to talk about religion however you please unless it's irrelevant or disrupting the class.

Honestly, I see this whole mess as a need to cause waves, and it's not needed here nor is it welcomed. Create your own thread, please.

Like the famed George Carlin said, "You know why we don't have honest politicians running for President? Because there's nobody in America with those values with the courage to run for President. If you think you can do better, go ahead and run and make this whole place the wonderful little haven everyone thinks this place is. Until then, this is the best we have, people. This is what America has to offer, take it or leave it. It won't change anything."

Makes sense.

George Carlin is the best. Though it's not that people don't have the courage. it's people don't have the funding or schooling in political science. There's a humoungous process people have to go through, and unfortuantely, those who have the most money 9 time sout of 10 are the ones that will end up as your presidential candidates. America is so money-driven and with all of the special interest groups involved, a normal guy/gal with good morals and a good head on thier shoulders is going to be hard pressed to get in without funding.

I agree with you. I like George Bush, and it irritates me when I see people trash talking him, especially when they voted for him! And he is human, so he does make mistakes, he's done some things that aren't good for America, but he's done a lot of good too. I think people should learn the word 'loyalty'.

He did graduate from a very prestigious university. 3nodding
That may be true but what your isolated about is that is dad probably payed for him to graduate as he's not very bright at all. I can't wait to see him out of office which will be soon i hope with Clinton and Obama running for President. As far as i can say every republican president the US has had has done some idiotic thing but Busch has gone to far. Its his fault so many innocent lives are being lost all because he wants to stop terrorism but in reality he is being a terrorist himself bombing away at Iraq. If you think he's bright then your pretty much clueless about politics i also got the inside scoop about other things he has done which i will not reveal who told me. Busch only wants to finish the war his dad started but if this keeps up it will turn into another nuclear war and the idiot just had to drag Canada into it. I am Canadian so am very opinionated as theres no risk at being shot here for that. Its George W Busch's brother thats the bright one Geb or whatever his name is. Right now the US needs a new President that is not a republican as the republican party is full of idiots. Although i think the same thing about the NDP in Canada

We know wat Loyalty means but why should we show loyalty to some one that rebounded to a terrorist attack in such a hasty manner that he has cost over 1,000 lives, destroyed over 1,000 families, and cost our country over $1,000,000 that could have whent to our 40,000,000,000,000 debpt to the rest of the world. This man has taken away from our country in every possible way, hes has killed pride by making our country, one of the Superpowers of the worl look like an enemy to every other country. HE is one of the reasons we as a country are falling into another Great Depression by spending so much money on the war that America had to cut funding to eavery thing. If you want I wrote a book about this 90 capters longand 2,392 pages long I can keep going on if you want.
