Tam carries both the pack and the cub to his bedroom, which he has kept spotlessly clean. "Amrito Vek, Taro.... with all my heart." he whispers in a choked reply, sitting them both onto the bed.
"You are well?"

Now that I'm back with you, I am! *Blushes* Umm, sira...can I sleep with you for a few nights?
Note: G'night...I need to get off...

Tam nods and helps him unpack his things. "Of course you can. Have I ever chased you out of my bed?" he replies with a soft laugh.
**good night, kero.. pleasant dreams**

*Laughing, Kero nods*
Yep...that one time when I farted...and another when I snored...

Tam laughs and shakes his head. "If I remember correctly... ye had already chased me from it first by doing that..."

Tam smiles, shoving his rat nest of a mop back from his face. "Have you eaten? Don't have much on hand, but I could toast us some sausage and there's a fairly fresh loaf of bread. At least I think it is fresh. Haven't thought much about eating the last few days. Too much on my mind. Wasn't hungry."

Sira...at this point...the best thing for you to do is stay out of my way...I'm going to go hunting...Honorian taught me all about it while I was gone, and I am going to bring us some venison...And Safira...after being scolded by the other eleven children, taught me how to use a little ice-magic to preserve meat, when it is placed inside a wooden box...when I come back, we'll eat some venison and bread, then we can clean this place up...okay?

Tam shrugs and steps to one side. "Just don't get caught taking any of the king's deer." he teases the cub. "Anything white is sacred."

I won't....get caught, that is...besides, I doubt the king knows of the strange animal known as a D. Miner...he'll simply see me as a cat, as long as I don't talk to him...
*Darts out, diving underground*

Tam cleans out the fireplace, then lays and lights a new fire, before going to straighten up the kitchen. He stares at the pile of dishes in the wash tub wondering where they all came form. "I know they aren't all ours." he grumbles putting a pot of water on to heat up.

*Kero soon returns, dragging a gutted deer out of the forest...his muzzle is matted with blood, but there is no damage, and he pulls it up to their house, and gets to work skinning it and washing it, using the water from the well*
Sira...could you get three things for me....a bottle of alcohol, high potency...and wooden box, preferably one on three or four legs, and a cloth bag that we won't mind throwing away or washing?

Tam pulls out a bottle of ever clear and a cotton sack he had crafted from an old sheet. "How large a box do ye need and will these do?" he asks setting them down by the cub.
Then he thinks for a bit. "Shouldn't ye age the deer a bit before butchering it? We could hang it in the far corner of the garden."

*Kero shakes his head*
No...not when I'm going to be smoking some parts, and freezing others, and salt curing the scraps, then boiling the bones...the alcohol is to purify the water I use to wash this, so I can get rid of it later without hurting someone, and the sack is for salt curing...as for the box, it need to be large enough to hold this meat right here...*Indicates about a quarter of the deer*...once I clean it and chop it into proper sizes...and also enough to hold a pot or tub of broth...can you do that? If you can as well...I need sawdust...Hickory, if you can get it...or maple...

Tam shrugs and started to walk off towards the carpentry shop. "Well, I can get a box knocked together fairly quickly but we don't have any in the cottage that would work. No hickory either, none in the area, but they've been working with apple and cherry woods down at the shop and may have some maple shavings on hand. I'll see what I can do. Is it alright if they are mixed?"
