"Doing what, being protective of their young... don't think so..." laughs Igniska circling down to a mountain side at the far end of one of the valley's arms. "Heck, if anyone tried to hurt or tease you, I bet any money Paladine would hang their hides out to dry as well."

*Luciel spirals down after her*
No, silly...physically punishing their young....Dad doesn't believe in it...

"Yer right..." laughs Igniska landing on a broad sun warmed rock. She urges Coriander to dismount and then walks with her and Luceil to the edge of the bluff. "He really does come up with some creative forms of making the message stick. I think everyone in the valley knows about that bluff... and they all quiver a bit when they walk by... and not from laughter. It took ye ages to etch all that, didn't it? And everyone knows it. No one else wants to get him that mad.""

*Luciel chuckles*
Which him? Dad...or Kero?

"I don't know about Kero... only yer dad." Igniska points out the arm of the valley that Paladine's caverns are located, then shows Luceil where their caves are." Then she looks hopefully at Coriander. "Where are you staying while you are here? I'll point it out to you."
Coriander shrugs. "With my dad in Luceil's old rooms. So I already know where it is... thanks to you." She looks around with a sigh. It's really pretty up here."
And it is. There is a small meadow edged by scraggy trees, fed by a trickling waterfall, the result of the melt off above them. It is the wrong season for wildflowers but the grass is cool and green. Tiny birds flit about the area, disturbed by the dragons presence.

Igniska shrugs. "Wonder where he's going? Anyway... let's not waste this sunshine, Cori... I'm all for soaking it up... How about you?"
But Coriander is more for exploring, so while Igniska sleeps in the sun, she explores the tiny water fall and the pool at it's base.

*After about an hour, Luciel returns, and right before the sun sets, he flaps his wings, scattering the light he had sucked in into a series of rainbows set against a backdrop of golden light*

Coriander's squeal of delight wakes Igniska up and the two females applaud Luceil's creativity.
"I didn't know you could do that!~" laughs Coriander merrily.

Coriander blushes deeply and wanders away towards the falls so as not to bother the other two dragons.

*Luciel soon breaks away from Igniska*
You know...if she stays over there...she's going to miss the sunset
*He hopes he says that loud enough so Cori can hear*
So she had better get over here...because it starts in five minutes!

The young copper dragon looks up from her study of the water and smiles. "Be right there. This pool is really really deep. I wonder how far it goes down." She says climbing awkwardly to her feet.

She laughs and joins them on the sun-warmed rock, sitting slightly off to one side so they could cuddle if they want. Her face is turned intently at the sky, but there is a small shadow in her gaze, a longing for something she knows she'll probably never have of her own.
Igniska sees this and with a tiny snort of understanding, fans out her wings, somehow encircling both Luceil and Coriander in their reach and gently pulling them both to her side. "Oops... sorry... here... why don't you sit here..." she suggests to the tiny copper draconic pointing to the space between her forearms, while keeping Luceil next to her side.
