*Kero is rather lost...and tries to go out...so as to get underground and think*

*Kero sighs...he had guessed he'd be grounded...and he goes to his room...seeing the filthy sheets, he simply moves to strip them off his bed*

Only they won't come off. It is almost as if they are glued to the bed.

Midway through the afternoon, Tam goes out. And he doesn't return until after dark. He has visited the bath and had a fine dinner at the inn. He places a small container of left overs in their cold box and goes up to his room.

*Kero, by now completely nonplussed, tries to go out again...he's not so stupid as to think Tam will let him eat his leftovers...not right now, though they smell divine*

No can do... he is grounded... beyond a doubt, forcibly at that. Thank the lady, the cottage has it's own water closet and a small tub. He's going to need it soon. When has he last bathed?
Upstairs, Kerocan hear Tam moving about, singing softly to himself. After a bit, silence.

*Stomach growling forcefully now, Kero moves over to the coldbox...and decides he'd rather get yelled at than starve...and he looks at what the leftovers are*

Parsnips... roasted parsnips. They smell delicious, but he is fairly certain what they taste like is not at all what he wants. There is also a fairly large crust of bread in the container, slightly smeared with butter and soggy with gravy.

*He figures something is better than nothing, and devours them...though that night, he finds himself running to the WC...as he is vomiting his stomach up...apparently his belly didn't care for those veggies...and he curls up on the hearth, gently crying himself to sleep*

The next morning, Tam bakes some bread, unfortunately he burns it a bit. Disgusted, he takes it out of the oven and sets it on the table to cool and heads down to the market for some more ingredients.

*Kero, taking the bread, looks at it, and sees that it is only burned on the bottom...with a cleaned claw, he slashes the bottom off, and sets it back on the table...trying to get Tam to forgive him...*

Tam returns and ignores the loaf on the table. Instead he makes another one that comes out perfectly. He slices it carefully and toasts it with some cheese he has bought just that morning. After a nice lunch, he leaves the cheese rind on the table and places the remains of the good loaf high on a shelf, before going to his desk and working on his music.
