The first one reminds me of a doll my grandmother gave me. It was porcelin, and beautiful. It was from somewhere in Eastern Europe I think, she bought it specially for me on a vacation she went on. It had on a black ruffly dress, black shoes, black gloves, and a black hat. I was always so afraid to touch it because I thought I'd break it into a million little shards on the floor and bits of shreaded cloth. So I never touched the doll, I had my dad put it up somewhere high that I couldn't reach, so I couldn't break it's beautiful little face and body. Then my sister got the doll oneday and started playing with it, when I came home from school oneday the doll was gone. Now I think I know, I think she broke it. I can imagine the face cracking into pieces and the doll still staring calmly, waiting for something and not knowing it was in sharp frosty white pieces all over the floor. Now I can't talk to my grandmother anymore, so I can't tell her what happened to the doll.
You remind me of that doll.
