Demios smiled as Vincent commented about what Demios had shown him "Yeah, I still remember the first time I could feel it" he said. He then looked out the window "Well, just give it time and you'll get better at it, and who knows it could help you control your powers too" he said. It was then that he noticed they were descending and his stomach sank a little with nervousness. He wasn't sure what they'd face, but he knew it wasn't going to be an easy task. He then herd Vincent talking again "Should we get through this I'd be happy to try and teach you more...or at least help you learn what you can do" he said although his voice seemed a bit distant due to his mind being more focused on what was going to happen.

((Genya))
To Genya's surprise, his letter to Demios disintegrated in front of his "EHHHHHHHhhhhh?" He hadn't dumped any invisible ink or corroding stuff on to it.... But then the mystery was solved when a return letter from Demi returned. He opened the letter and then oohed and ahed as he read it, probably earning weird looks from Naoki and the same usual stoic WTF look from Benkei.
((Will- Eh? That light behind the curtain is Seb's post is a Will o Wisp! Dun dun dun!))
No, Serena was not a rabbot like Armand's Bun Bun, who was probably still cuddled up near Demi. Bun Bun was not Will's concern. "Maybe~" the Satan Owl responded coyly in response to Serena accusing him of being amused that she wanted carrots as he allowed himself to be led by the albino to the kitchen of wonders.
He said nothing as she opened the fridge of doom and then made a face thanks to the bloody succulent slice of steak and he said nothing as Serena closed the fridge door and a Cerbs crashed facefirst into the fridge door, a beat too slow in getting to the steak. He said nothing at first as Serena failed to retrieve the freshly squeezed orange juice and only managed the carrot sticks princesses. The Vanishing Owl was a bit tender. Usually, blood and guts didn't bother her as much it did now.
So....Will did the obvious non helpful thing to do. He patted Serena on the head and helped himself to a carrot stick form the plate. "Sure." And then the carrot stick princess magically made its way into the Serena bunny monster's nomming mouth.

((Serena))
Serena was recovering slowly. Her stomach was feeling better and so the fear of throwing up had passed. That was until a certain kitten stuffed a carrot stick into her mouth. She had been craving them at first, however, now the thought of any type of food entering her mouth was far from mind. Her stomach tightened up into a mass of knots…but she soldiered through bravely. She chomped, chewed and swallowed the stick of orange goodness like a pro. “T…thanks…” She barely muttered to Will. The Vanishing Owl moved away from the kitchen side and sat down at the breakfast bar, leaning her head onto her hand to quell the queasiness as quickly as possible “Helpful as always, Kitten.”
The albino carrot noming bunny hadn’t failed in witnessing Cerbs little mishap with the fridge door but couldn’t quite work up the will to laugh or even fetch the steak the dog wanted. In fact, his feeding habits were currently down to Sebastian who had been rather happy to take care of. Most likely it was due to the fact that it saved him disposing of certain meat the old fashioned way. “Any idea on how long you will be gone this time?” Serena asked while glancing through her fingers towards the tall blonde male “Not that I mind or care…” Sure Serena.
She smiled and sat up before smoothing her hair back to its original state “Hmm…Besides me pulling your tail, what else had you showing up today? Ah, you wanted to enjoy this day of sharing, hmm?” She stood up and grabbed a carrot stick which was shoved into Will’s mouth “Tis a gift. Enjoy~” Patting the Satan Owl on his cheek and smiled. “I know how much you love carrots so I am sure you are happy with the gift” She spun round and grabbed a glass which she filled with water and drank slowly. “Mhmm…Even if this day isn’t your type of thing, merry belated christmas, Kitten”

((Will))
Will smirked as Serena finished chewing and then took a seat at the breakfast bar. She was constantly trying to get an answer out of Will on how long he would be staying..or how long he would be away...or the like. It was simply different ways of asking the same question: how much time could she hog Will for?
Before he could answer if he was going to answer at all, his mouth got invaded by a carrot stick and his cheek got patted as if he was a cute kitten. The Satan Owl made a wry face and then patted Serena on the head as he chewed the carrot stick. As one of the Great Four, Will didn't truly need to eat. It was nice every now and then, but there was no need even if Will had access to any type of cuisine that could be imagined or existed.
"Mhmm..." Will strode over to the fridge and fetched the orange juice without blinking (even as a Cerbs lumbered in and nagged the steak before Will closed the fridge door) and poured the orange juice into Serena's glass, even if it still had some water in it. "No, bunny...happy new year~" Contrary to Serena style, Will did not dump orange juice over Serena. The Satan Owl did give Cerbs a stern look though as Cerbs loudly chewed on the steak. With an innocent look, the dog gulped down the rest of a steak in a flash and then trotted over to Serena and Will with a loud sigh...

“Happy new year….It is a bit too early for that” Serena mumbled while eyeing the now water/orange juice. She took a sip and smiled widely before gulping down the rest of the juice. The Vanishing Owl had seen Cerbs enjoying his steak but she had managed from actually watchinghim nom it down. She had titled her head away from the three headed hell hound and merely concentrated on the wall in front. “Hmmm…you never answer questions…What a terrible habit…” She muttered with a small laugh.
Serena helped herself to another glass of orange juice and sipped it a few times, allowing the silence to fill the room before breaking it with a laugh “Heh, if anyone saw you being ‘sucked’ through a chair….I wonder what their reaction would be.” At that moment the Vanishing Owl’s phone began to buzz. She took one look at the ID before hitting the button that would see the call directed. “Ahem…Xander..” She mumbled with a small sigh “He hasn’t been very happy after finding out about…..well you know….” She sighed some more and poured herself another glass of juice “He said he will be coming to Japan next week…”
It was quite easy to sense the air of doom around the Vanishing Owl after saying such things. Her brother was a hard person to please. Even more so because he was protective of his only little sister. Serena had avoided answering Xander’s phone calls to avoid the lectures that he was sure to give. She had no interest in hearing his discouraging words…not yet anyways. “Hmph….” She placed the now empty glass into the sink and glanced up at Will before looking away “Shouldn’t you be leaving again…?” She pulled a face and looked away rather moodily “The sooner you go the quicker your return…right? The quicker...the better...” She sighed like a Cerberus who she had fogotten but quickly made up with as she began to hug and pat him.

((Will - I'll let you others make descriptions of the area and so on. No fighting!))
"Terrible habit? Well, one that you have too to most people..." Will chided in response to Serena. "Is the wall so interesting that you must stare at it instead of me?" He smirked. "Who cares about me being 'sucked' through a chair? I can do whatever I want. They were probably so engrossed in themselves they didn't notice. I know you would have though~" A playful smile perked on the blonde musician's lips.
And then Serena bunny's phone rang. Will watched as Serena ignored the call and explained that it was Xander. "He is your brother, bunny." There was a mischievous twinkle in Will's eyes. "Sebastian has it covered. Just let it all out at Xander." He patted Cerbs, who had rubbed against Serena's leg when the albino patted him on the head. "Cerbs, don't completely scare the soul out of Serena's brother, alright?" He stood up, walked over to Serena, and kissed her on the forehead. "Doesn't always work that way, darling. I'll see you around. The plane's landing."
Indeed, the plane was landing. It had reached Richmond and was descending onto the landing strip of Richmond International Airport. The landing was a very smooth landing. In fact, because of the quality of the pilots and the plane, one could hardly even feel that the plane had landed. The passengers didn't even have to have their seat belts on. The plane was now making its way to one of the airport terminals.
Back in Japan, the Satan Owl stroked Serena's hair one last time and allowed her a chance to respond before using one of Sebastian's portals to return to the plane.

After Raven gave her words upon missing, the white haired Herald simply kept his eyes low to the ground where the snow seemed to piling up by the minute. At this rate, his already pale ankles would be covered by the chillingly cold flakes of snow that fell at their rapid pace. As he said earlier, this was no bother to him as the flame fueled by nostalgia, hints of caring and hatred burned hotter than the surface of the sun. Or so he thought or rather hoped. "Depends on how you are with keeping your emotions in check." The Herald was speaking in reference to her last statement about nothing good coming of this talk. It was useless, inherently of course, to talk about this here and now as it did nothing to prepared them for the team of Owls in the plane that was landing miles away. "It's nice believing in alot of things. I'm not a superstitious man, but having that small bit of hope that somewhere the handful of people I knew and loved are still alive gives me sanity. Hope even. Foreign feelings that a Herald shouldn't long for."
It was impossible to disagree that those very same people who held both him and Raven in such high regards long ago probably viewed them now as mongrels...scum of the Earth that needed to be wiped clean. Timothy knew that the Oracle wasn't about to delude herself with his ideals. He was thankful that her will was stronger than that because if it wasn't she'd have probably been dead long ago. Overhead, the low hum of jet engines reached down to him grabbing his attention. From simple deduction, he could tell that it was they who needed to be killed already. No plane had entered this warzone in the past month and the airport was closed to entrances.
Timothy shook his head somewhat wearily before standing to his full stature. His pallid coat was patted down and the snowflakes fell from him leaving small damp areas where they once sat. His soft blue eyes turned up to the woman whom he'd grinned at when she spun in brief thought. "Hope you're not out of practice Oracle. I fear this encounter may not be as clearly in our favor as the last few..." said the Herald who had already begun thinking of ways to finish off each and every person aboard the Satan Owl's plane. "Time to move. If you need anyone of us, just yell. Good luck out there Raven."

((Serena))
Serena smirked innocently “I have a few habits that most would say were terrible~” It was probably easier to say that most people would view her entire being as something ‘terrible.’ Not that Serena cared for the opinions of others. She only cared for a tiny handful of people and their opinions. “Mhmm... I would have noticed. After all, someone needs to keep an eye on you” She joked. “Can’t have a stray Kitten running amuck now can we?” The Vanishing Owl patted Cerbs a few more times on one of his three heads “He won’t scare Xander, would you Cerberus? Because he is a good boy” Yeah right….
Serena glanced up at Will with a small smile when he stated that the plane was already landing “Ah, a little while is a little while, right?” She mused as she watched a portal form behind the Satan Owl, courtesy of Sebastian. She poured the remainder of her juice down the sink and placed the empty glass onto the side and stared out the window for a few moments before looking over at Will “Of course you will see me around. It’s not like I will be going anywhere anytime soon~” She played with a strand of hair and let out small breath of air “I have no doubt in my mind that things will go wrong for you guys…and that everything will return to normal…”
A small shiver of satisfaction ran down the albino’s spine when Will stroked her hair once more before turning to leave through the portal. Serena made no move to follow him and merely stayed where she was, watching and not knowing what lay beyond the swirling black portal. “Will….” She reached out and grabbed a hold of the blondes arm and leant up to place a small kiss on his lips “Itterasshai…”She smirked and stroked a hand through his hair before shoving him through the portal.
The kitchen was suddenly quiet and the Vanishing Owl suddenly felt rather alone. Usually that feeling didn’t bother her. She was usually ok with being alone. She shook her head and blinked a few times to banish away the swirling mass of emotions that was currently building up. Her silver eyes landed upon Cerbs and she smiled before kneeling down next to the hellhound and patted him lightly.
“ki wo tsukete…Will”
((TFP---Raven))
Raven gave no reply to the Heralds words about keeping her emotions in check. She knew that no matter how much she tried it was almost impossible to become someone completely devoid of all emotions. The blonde female, like almost everyone else, still had a sense of humanity even if she didn’t want to admit to it. She tucked her hair behind her ears and looked up towards the sky. “You are free to believe in what you like as I am free to believe in what I like.” She paused for a small moment “But I will agree that the feeling of being looked after from afar is…pleasant. Even I cannot disagree with that completely.”
The Quaking Owl remained looking to the sky as she picked up on the low hum of a plane’s engine. It had been a while since she had last heard a plane in this particular area, not since the last plane carrying humans out of town to a safer location. She smirked “I have spent the last few months warming up for this moment…I assure you that I am not out of practise” Like always Raven was feeling confident about her capabilities when it came to fighting. Her talk with Timothy was suddenly far from her mind as it fell upon the pending fight. This was what she had been waiting for and she only hoped that those who were stupid enough to step foot in her territory were ready as much as she was. She looked to the Lightning Herald once more and nodded her head when he wished her good luck “You too.”
There was nothing left to say. All that mattered now was that the pair of them got ready for what lay in wait. The playing field was big enough for everyone to share nicely. The setting was perfect, dark, cold, and covered in white. By the end of the fight it would be stained red with the blood of The Fallen Phoenix’s enemies. “Like lambs to the slaughter…” The French woman’s face became a clean slate as she moved forwards, her heavy boots crunching the snow each time they collided together…This was what she had been waiting for.

Smoothly, the plane came down upon Richmond's runway and even managed to come to a stop without being fired upon by anyone. The Owls and Humans were probably too busy fighting each other to really care. It made their entrance all the more easier and Roulin didn't complain about it. After Will's plane touched down and stopped, The Life Owl gathered his things; a sword, a gun and the gun's ammunition. He had yet to gather himself, but as there was no time to do so, the thought was brushed away. He exited the plane behind his brother and father, the both of whom exited the plane as quickly as they could.
Roulin kept his vision active to search for anything that would later pose a threat in the area. Now that they were in what some called New Exire now, he knew he couldn't act out wildly against a threat. If he did, they'd be swarmed immediately. Just walking into the terminal was difficult. Only one person remained, but it was only because they were frozen from what they'd seen maybe minutes, hours or day ago. The woman just stood, staring on and on into the distance...oddly and eerily. Roulin paid her no mind as he continued into the ransacked airport.
~~~
"We're on the same page then Ace. I'm not a big fan of Che or his kids myself." Thomas had his eyes on the station that finally entered view. The five story building was where he was calling home until this mission was done and over with. No more Christmas eves spent working to kill someone that should've been dead centuries ago. After Acelyn gave him her thanks, Thomas only nodded, saying in return, "Yer welcome kid. Think nothin' of it alright?"
And there they were. Just as Acelyn had pointed out, the Night Owls were just overhead now and slowly making their descent into the city. A smile briefly crossed his lips and he sped up his walking. When he reached the station, the intent was to get the soldiers ready for another engagement. "The fun is just startin'. Time to get ready. C'mon."
Acelyn looked at Thomas as he said Che and his kids, remembering he meant Roulin, who she had met at the casino and 'Moli' who she hadn't seen. "I.. yeah them." She really meant their old friend, the old U.N.S. boss but she decided to humor Thomas and just stay on his good side. She has no intention on killing Roulin, even though she couldn't anyways, but more of he had given her a piece of mind. The blonde looked at their 'base' and seemed to smile a little, looking at Thomas for a second.
The girl followed Thomas inside, knowing that this fight wasn't going to be easy even with help. "Alright, Thomas." She looked around for a second, taking everything in. Opening her jacket, she took the ticket envelope from the pocket on the inside, looking at it for a second before putting it back. She planned on going on that trip soon but decided to get that out of her mind while everything else was going on.
Cecilia's book closed via her gravitational abilities and allowed it to descend gently upon her lap. Her silver fringe fell into her jade eyes. She pushed the tresses back behind her right ear where they settled. As the plane descended and began to, surprisingly, make a clean landing for once instead of being blown out of the sky, the young Herald made sure she had her chain whip, which was wrapped securely around her waist like a belt. The plane landed gently on the runway, its wheels touching down and traveling a few feet before it came to a complete stop.
Unbuckling her seatbelt, Cecilia stood and walked down the aisle of the plane towards the doors that would be the exit. The long open skirt she wore billowed out around her and her heeled boots clicked brisquely upon the floor. She walked down the steps that would take her to the ground. Once her feet touched the ground, her eyes glimpsed the turmoil, her vivid orbs swirling with the utmost rage with the desire to make those who did this suffer ten times as much.
The cold wind whipped her long silver tresses about her face and caused the long skirt she wore to sway, brushing against her legs. This would be it...perhaps one of the biggest battles of their lives, definitely much bigger than the battles that had taken place in New York City and Rome. Mistakes could not be made here lest they all lose their lives. Keeping her head forward, her expression stoic, she walked towards the completely destroyed airport, the others close by.
As the plane carrying the Night Owls began to descend to the runway in D.C., a quiet voice that hadn't spoken in months began to use a Herald's telepathic powers to communicate with the sole shadow manipulator on the Night Owls' plane: Nikolai Krane.
"Nikolai Krane... Can you hear me...?"
==
The plane was landing. That much, Kate could tell. After all, she was staring out of the window. The city was full of petrified spirits. It was more than unsettling. It was almost sickening to the Eternity Owl. After all, she was an Owl who's energy thrived on those spirits, they helped keep her strong. Because of that, Kate wasn't entirely feeling like herself at the moment. It also didn't help that the Door had been open, so she wasn't as strong recovering from something like this had it been closed before this whole deal. Kate was one of the last to get off the plane as she stood up slowly from her seat. She wasn't entirely sure how much help she would be in this final confrontation, but she would help as much as she could in her current state. Once off the plane, Kate knew that the pertrification was worse than it had appeared from the plane. A frown came to her features. This was not good. Whoever had done this was not someone to be trifled with.
==
Once the plane had touched ground, Anya set the bonsai tree aside. If she could, she would make sure that the plant survived this next battle. And the safest place for it to be was probably on Will's plane. She wanted to preserve the cheerful little piece of nature. The rest of the Earth here was silent, eerily so. The Poison Owl got up from her chair and looked over at Nikolai. "You ready?" she asked him.
((crappy short post for Anya... sorry, Suess...))
==
Erin's apprehension about the coming battle grew at about the same pace as the plane's descent. She knew she wasn't going to like fighting a huge group of people. Mostly because she knew she might have to kill them just to survive the fight. After unbuckling her seat belt, the Artistic Owl got to her feet with a reluctant sigh. 'I'm not going to like this...' she thought to herself as she followed the three Presidiomini's out of the plane. It was quiet at the airport. Too quiet because normally a place like this would be bustling chaotically with excitement. Like Roulin did with his vision, Erin was using her telepathy to scout the airport area for threats.
==
As Thomas and Acelyn returned from their outing, they would find the ever-faithful Johan waiting for them. The old UNS man was stoic as always even though he too had just received word that the Night Owl's plane was landing at the airport. Johan had his one organic arm crossed over his metallic prosthetic one and was leaning back against the far wall of the room. "Welcome back, Sir." was all Johan said as his eyes (one had a scar going diagonally across it) followed Thomas' figure as the former Death Owl moved about the room.
As the plane touched down Lucien stared out the window, the multi-gray shaded landscaping, and the occasional flare of red or orange in the distance of some unknown fire. His eyes stared at this, the world that would come to pass if Raven was left to do as she saw fit. He stared with caring eyes, for once in his life he wasn't a computer with legs he was a person. Standing up he gently placed the champagne glass on the table. He would have to thank Will later for the drink, his sense of civility seemed to have grown as well over the course of these past few years. He reached into the pocket of his suit top pulling out the lighter that he kept. Flicking the head of the lighter open the small clink noise could be heard. He closed it, creating another metal clinking noise. Repeating this process again and again he put his other hand into the pocket in his pants and started to walk off the plane. On both of his hands was a pair of black gloves, these however were not some fashion statement they were weapons. These were the gloves that he used to feed his razor wires out, in his tinkering he had found out quite another fun way to use them as opposed to just slicing people to bits with them.
As he exited the plane he looked up at the Roulin, Che, and Moli, a family of legends if there ever was one. He turned towards them taking a few steps closer. "Thank you Che for your words of wisdom on the plane. Will can call you the laziest man on the planet but you're still more helpful then you know." He then looked towards Moli, the one of the three that he had no actual connection to, he had never served on the same team as he had, and they had never personally met on the battlefield. "You were one of the few people here that I didn't have a dossier the size of a bible on, but you're the brother of the man I considered family for the first part of my life and my greatest rival for the other half, and that plus everything you've done warrant's respect."
Finally he looked towards Roulin, who was walking through the airport, or what could have at one point been called so. He reached out putting a hand on Roulin's shoulder to stop him for a brief moment. Lucien's eyes focused and became a bit more serious. "Roulin...You were always the sensible one, the one who was willing to show mercy. You're the humanitarian half of this life and death coin. Don't lose that. Roulin the path you're going, the path I was on it's not the one for you. It's not what you or Cecilia want, believe me it's a miracle that I found Amara let alone that she is still willing to tolerate me. Don't do this to yourself or her, you both deserve so much better." With that he took his hand off Roulin's shoulder and took a step back, clicking the lighter two more times. "Oh, and if you lose to Raven I'm going to be p****d, and trust me the last thing you want is a p****d off Death Owl dragging you back from the afterlife." He smiled expressing an unusual amount of sensibility right now. He was of course joking, but he had had enough serious for his lifetime.
It seemed now that Roulin and Lucien truly had switched, they depicted a somewhat different representation of life and death, Roulin was now the vision that stated that Life was cruel and difficult, it was not always peaceful and iconic but in reality it was a struggle. Lucien was the form of peaceful death now, no longer was his mind a constant swarm of anger and calculations he was more human, he was now someone who could be the Death Owl.
Nikolai stood up as the plane had landed, looking to Anya he was about to answer her when he heard someone speak to him, quietly, almost like they were right behind him. He looked around for a bit, wondering who spoke, then recognized the voice as that of Sydney the darkness herald. He nodded to Anya and followed her out of the plane without saying anything, concentrating on what the voice had said and replied in his mind as best as he could, talking to an outsider with your mind wasn't exactly a natural thing for someone to do. "Yes... I can hear you... Is that you Sydney? I thought... well, after what happened in Azarath you were..." Nikolai didn't finish his sentence, at least what he tried to say to Sydney in his head. His thoughts finished the sentence for him, but he didn't know whether or not she could hear those. Staying outwardly silent, Nikolai followed Anya off the plane, with a serious look on his face; he couldn't help it, and Anya was bound to pick up on it.
Sydney decided to finish Nikolai's thought for him as she could basically tell what he might have been trying to say. "Dead? No. It was necessary for Rage to keep me alive. She imprisoned me... took me hostage, as you might say..." Sydney paused here as if to catch her breath. This was taking a lot of effort for her given the strength of the crystal Rage kept her in. But she soon continued.
"Before I was captured, I ordered Happiness and Sadness to find someone to help. Since then, I have been in a stasis..." Sydney then projected an image of her current situation into Nik's mind. Her body in Azarath was encased in a dark red crystal. "Over some time of conserving what little energy remains without the others alive, I have managed to peel back just a spare bit of the encasement in order to contact you... The one that Happiness reached out to." At the mention of Happiness, Sydney recalled what she was really contacting Nikolai for. Before speaking again, the herald of Darkness let what she had said sink in. After a few seconds though, her voice came back into his mind.
"This will be my last chance to speak with anyone. Rage has not even allowed my entrapped mind to reach out to Timothy... I do not have much more time to speak as the crystal's walls regenerate. In theory, I could very well break free if given the time and the assistance, but... With the others all dead it would not be worth the risk as I would just be an empty shell of my former self..." The last thing that she said drifted off just like a feather on the wind.
