Mairi sat quietly, letting everything sink in, including the thoughts he unconsciously shared.She pushed away the last of her milk shake, feeling sick.She spoke quietly, just loud enough for he and Ginhana to hear "So if you're right....You'd be my uncle...." She seemed totally calm, but on the inside it was total turmoil.Keeping a blank expression, she stood up and headed for the door, not really caring at the moment if he fallowed or not.She heard the whispers again, this time clearly in an argument.

 Raen shrugged before he rose and strode after her quickly, unsure how to react. "If what I suspect is right, then it's possible. The only way to know for sure would be to ask the sisters... or that ghostly woman, if she is who I suspect," he said quietly. He knew the idea was creepy as they'd grown up as close friends for the past several years; he personally found it disturbing as he didn't know at the moment who or what he really was.

Mairi crossed her arms across her chest, almost like she was shielding herself and nodded slightly.She had no idea what was going on anymore.Always the one who was prepared, always the one with a plan, for the first time in a very long while, she felt completely lost.

Raen sighed as he gently shifted an arm over Mairi's shoulders. "Let's head to the hot springs, then we can think about all this mess afterward, preferably when we're relaxed," he said quietly. He concentrated and felt his senses expand and knew there was a hot spring four blocks to their right and one over.

Mairi pulled away slightly, letting his arm drop from her shoulders.The thought of him being her uncle changed a lot of things for her "We still need to pick up some clothes first..." She expanded her sight a little and found a store three buildings up that seemed normal enough.

Raen sighed softly, not liking the fact that she was retreating from him, but it was better to know one's past than live a lie. He started walking when he paused, hearing a soft whisper which made him turn. To his surprise, everything went dim and dark as he took a few steps forward, blinking as he saw the same woman, but now she was no ghost; she had tanned skin and swirling silver eyes that made the ethereal beauty with her long black dress seem enhanced. Matera, is my suspicions true?" he said quietly, seeing her jump before looking his way with a look of astonishment. "They are, unfortunately. I know that you are fond of her, though her future is unknown," the woman said quietly. "You are Biosia, Thanata, Magosa, and Fiona... the Great Destroyer," he whispered, momentarily surprised to see her nod. He took a deep breath and concentrated, focusing on Mairi before he half turned, vanishing as he stood a couple of feet behind Mairi in front of the clothing store. Kalosis, he thought. He had noticed the tree that had teal leaves and silvery apples as well as the clear pool beneath it and the rosebushes that had true black roses.

Mairi tensed slightly when Raen disappeared, but wasn't really all that surprised.She kept walking, heading into the clothing store quietly.The whispered argument grew louder and she winced slightly.Moving father into the store, she expanded her sight more and started looking.It was slow work, seeing as her mind kept turning back to the very probable fact that she and Raen were related.Ginhana, watched Mairi quietly, unsure on how to console a human, or possible demigod, with an emotional overload.She just silently hoped the girl wouldn't start crying.

Raen sighed softly where he walked a few steps behind Mairi. He, too, could hear the rising argument before he cleared his throat. From the way the argument cut off abruptly, whoever it was heard him clearly. A young woman with bluish indigo hair and pale gray eyes spoke hesitantly. "C-can I help you?" she said with a slight stutter. Raen's eyes narrowed slightly at her tone of voice; it was obvious she was extremely shy and borderline scared, though from the way her gaze darted to her left that someone scared her more.

Mairi was the only person in the store to the woman's left, and she was doing everything humanly possible to ignore the woman and Raen.She searched through the tops, finding a few before moving on to the pants and skirts, sighing slightly when she realized the jean styles were totally different from 'their' world.Grudgingly, she looked at the skirts as well.

Raen shrugged one shoulder as he glanced towards Mairi. "We're just looking at the moment," he said quietly with a faint smile, noting the girl's slight blush in reaction as he walked towards the clothing.

Mairi held up a skirt and snorted slightly.It was like of the micro mini's back home "So not happening..." She already had some jeans to go with the tshirts, but figured a skirt or two wouldn't kill her.She felt Ginhana pounce on her foot and tilted her head down some.Flushing a bright pink she grabbed the packet the fox had and shoved it under the shirts.Ginhana flicked her tail in silent amusement.They at least had undergarments similar to what she wore "You're an evil runt, Ginny." The fox barked a sort of laugh and disappeared under the clothing racks again.

Raen had found a few pairs of jeans and shirts, though he glanced towards Mairi when he heard Ginhana bark a laugh. He had an idea for a prank, though he didn't plan on doing it immediately.

Mairi picked out a few skirts and continued to ignore Raen as she grabbed the last few items she needed before heading to the register.She waited quietly while the woman rang everything up.By her estimate, it'd be about two hundred and fifty in American currency, so she'd still have enough to get whatever else she needed later.Pulling out her wallet, she felt the bills carefully, making sure she had the right amount before handing it over.Ginhana trotted out from under the clothing racks, looking bored.

Raen tilted his head slightly. He had grabbed one item he thought would mildly amuse Mairi though it was intended as a joke: a neon blue Speedo with a navy colored waistband. He walked towards the register where the shy girl was, though he paused momentarily, a slight frown crossing his face as he heard tinkling glass before his gaze drifted downward to the gold fletched crossbow bolt sticking out of his chest just below his heart. He heard the clothing fall to the ground as a slow inhalation sounded, seeming to echo in his ears.

Mairi heard breaking glass and turned, watching as something cloaked in an odd silvery blue energy lodged itself in Raen's chest.Total terror hit her as his cards appeared in that odd ethereal form, shuffling and turning.Pulling the sunglasses off, she watched, her silver eyes moving as she fallowed them, the mark on her forehead glowed slightly "Raen...?" As angry, or hurt, as she felt, she really hoped this was some sort of joke.
