Stella's stomach lurched when she felt his arm curl around her. His words stung a little bit and she swallowed down tears. Soon.. That one word would be her only hope. She would remind herself that every time she didn't have hope. Soon. He said soon and so did the doctor. She drifted into a light sleep, waking up every so often.

Gage woke up before Stella and slid out of the bed they'd shared... Grabbing the crutches, he got up and showered carefully, avoiding his cast without flaw. Once he was showered, he dressed in a white button up shirt and jeans, both had blue designs trailing down the backs... He walked back out on the crutches, one foot in a DC sneaker as he sat down to dry his hair. He already was remembering little things... He remembered Stephanie, and what she'd done now.....

Stella rolled over and saw him sitting there putting his shoes on. Where he had been been laying was still warm and she snuggled into it a bit. Reluctantly she got out of the bed and grabbed a change of clothes and such, going to the bathroom. She took a crazy long shower. The water was hot and if it hit her skin for any length of time it turned red. Steam wafted from the bathroom and Stella let her tears flow freely. Finally she got out, wrapping herself in a towel and looking in the mirror. She stared at herself for a moment before getting dressed. She walked out and smiled at Gage warmly.

Gage returned the warm smile and waited a moment to speak "Are we going to continue our trip, or are you wanting to stay here a few days?" he didn't mention the memories of Steph, and why they'd broken up, it wasn't what he wanted to remember...

Stella smiled and sat next to him. "We are gonna stay here a few days. We have to wait for your car to be fixed up.. Plus I think staying in one place might help your memory.." She smiled and touched his cheek softly.

Gage nodded as she smiled and took a deep breath as he looked at her. "The car, that's right.... Hell, that could take upwards of a week if it's bad enough.... Has anyone told me family what's going on?"

"I think the hospital called. Would you like me to call for you and double check?" She slightly wondered if he even remembered his family. He had never said much so Stella didn't know any of there names or if he even had brothers or sisters. For a moment her eyes got lost in his and she had to shake her head a bit to snap out of it.

Gage shook his head. "No, if they know, then they know... If they don't, then I don't want them stressing further..." he sighed, shaking his head as he looked up at her with troubled blue eyes

Stella looked at him, noticing how trouble he looked. She hated that look and was almost tempted to look away but she didn't. "You can talk to me about anything. I want you to know that." Setting her hand over his she smiled and gave it a reassuring squeeze.

Stella's cheeks were colored a light red and she smiled before standing up. Walking over to the window she opened the curtains to let in some light. She stood in the window for a bit, casting a shadow across her bed. Her phone was gripped tightly in her hand. Stephanie was gone and Gage.. He was basically gone to... Alone.. Again.

Gage came up behind Stella, using only one crutch, he wrapped his arm around her waist and set his chin on her shoulder... "I remember from your sister cheating on up through the first night we slept together...." he sighed softly, kissing her neck lightly "I'm sorry I didn't tell you first thing when I woke up..."

Stella put her hands over Gage's hands and looked out of the corner of her eye at him. "Don't worry about it. You don't have to tell me as soon as you remember things. Thats your choice." She smiled faintly and felt happy for a moment. Just having him close was good enough for her. It was enough to bring a smile to her lips.

Stella bit her lip softly, a little hesitant. She felt like it was her fault that he was doing this. Like her being upset was the only reason he was hugging her and kissing her cheeks. "Gage.. You don't have to hug me if you don't want. I feel like I'm pressuring you..." Her voice was soft and she turned her head to look at him with wide eyes.
