Kanti whined happily as her tail wagged. “Come summer we’ll have pups,” she whispered softly. “Won’t that be great? Our own pups playing here in our own territory.”

"Yeah, I'm really looking forward to it." He said with a smile. He licked her muzzle affectionatly and stared at the now setting sun.

“Yeah.” Kanti smiled and licked him back. That sat in companionable silence for a while as the sun sank over the trees. “What are you thinking love?” she asked softly as she nuzzled him gently.

Kanti’s eyes shone as she looked at her mate. “You’ll be an amazing father Sanoskue,” she said softly, licking his muzzle. “I know you will.”

Kanti licked him back and snuggled against him, watching the last rays of sunlight slip behind the treetops. “Tomorrow we can go out and start marking our territories boundaries.”

“It’ll be perfect,” Kanti replied, yawning slightly as the sky grew dark above them. The temperature began to drop and she snuggled into Sanoskue’s warm fur.
