*Kero shakes his head, dropping the mask*
I think they ran off that time you impersonated one....jumped out of the closet to scare me!

"Well... it worked didn't it. No more hiccups." retorts Tam with a wicked grin. "I said I'd get rid of them for ye."

Tam laughs softly deep in his chest. "Turn about is fair play, dulcha... for all those times ye got me. Truth is... I think yer still winning in the chalk up category.."

*Kero shudders*
Still, you've had me good sometimes...like when you locked me out one winter's afternoon...

"Ye were supposed to be wearing yer charm." says Tam testily, shaking his head. "How was I to know ye had forgotten to put it on?"

Right...you had taken it earlier that day, to repair a small nick in it!

"But I gave it back to you... didn't I?" asks Tam scratching his head. Then he yawns and sighs. "Bed time, I fear. I'm beat. And now that I'm warmed through and through...." he chuckles heartily. "Ye won't have to worry about me getting ye cold."

*Kero nods, moves over to the fire, and twines it around him, warming and drying his damp fur...her may look a little poofy when it's done, but he's a warm, dry kitty...*

Tam wrinkles his nose as the smell of wet damp fur being forced dried, but he understands the need. Standing up he gathers up their mugs and returns them to the kitchen.
Hopian and Fortuny have already turned in, taking their drinks with them upstairs, so he decides he'll get those cups in the morning. As he walks back to the bedroom, he can hear their voices, soft and low, rumbling and whistling in their odd desert tongue and smiles. D. miner was a beautiful language, but hard to accomplish if one had no musical ability. Even with his background, it had taken him years to learn how to understand it and years yet again to speak it.

*Kero wiggles close to him, snuggling into Tam's chest with a sigh....then, horror of horrors....he breaks some serious wind...Hopian is looking at Fortuny and going "Did you do that?"**

I hope this isn't some by-product of Desert Miner biology, sira...or Fortuny and Salunia are going to be in a world of hurt tonight...
