(HOLY CRUD.)
Kallman went rigid with shock. It can't be! he thought, too shocked to speak.
Hanna climbed. The dungeon was far, far down, but she could not go straight there. No, she must do something else first. She slipped into the window more quietly than a ghost and whipped a striking blow to the back of Keri's head, knocking her unconscious without so much as a sound. Kai stared in shock as she advanced on him in utter silence, eyes burning as if into his very soul! Where is Kallman? her voice thundered inside his mind. Kai fell to the ground with a yelp, holding his head in pain and unable to speak. Hanna crouched, putting a hand on his shoulder. I am sorry Kai, she said in his head, much more gently. I did not know. But I must find your brother. A dark presence of magic suddenly filled her mind and she flinched, staggering away as she fought it. After what could have been minutes the darkness receded and she staggered, vomiting on the floor. "Dram," she gasped, wiping her mouth. "Wh-what just happened to you?" Kai asked, barely managing to speak at all, but worried. Hanna regained control of herself and turned back to him. Dark magic, she replied. Kai winced, unnerved by Hanna's strange ability to speak in his head. "Jeanette," he whispered. Hanna shook her head.It is something much worse than a witch. We have to get out of here. She turned back to Keri, reaching for a knife from the sorceress's belt. "No!" Kai snapped. "Hanna stop!" She turned and gave him a hard stare. "If you kill her, you're worse than she is! Don't become that!" Hanna turned back to Keri, clenching the dagger, poised so close...then dropped it. Kai was right. Dram. Let's go.

Kai and Hanna scaled back to the earth and escaped unseen, fleeing quickly and hiding nearby. "What about Kallman?" Kai asked when they stopped to rest. "I don't know," Hanna replied. "I'm not sure where he is." "But you saved us before--you walked right through the wall! That was you, wasn't it?!" "That was different," Hanna snapped. "I was blue then. Can't you see the difference?" She was pacing in aggravation, trying to think of what to do. "I can't use magic. I have to get him out some other way." Kai was quiet for a long time. "Those things you did, just now and before, in the cave. They're impossible, but you did them." "Do you have a point?" she replied, glaring at him. "How did you do it? I've never heard of anything like it." Hanna stopped pacing and sat, slumping forward with her head in her hands. "I don't know. I just did them." "So 'just do' something now," he begged. "Please Hanna--you don't know what they'll do to him in there! Jeanette is crazy!" "I paid the price for what I did!" Hanna snapped angrily. "What do you mean?" Kai asked, brow creasing in confusion. Hanna to snap something about it not being his business when a scream rent the air in two--the cry of a wolf in pain. "Kallman!" Kai gasped. The sound tore something inside of her and Hanna's eyes grew wide, something inside suddenly set free. "Is é seo mo anbhás," she whispered, and something snapped. Hanna surged to her feet and began to run. "Wait!" Kai yelped, trying to catch up. "They'll kill you!" he shouted. A few guards saw her coming and were ready for her at the gates. Kai called for her to come back, but she did not hear him. Like a giant among men was Hanna's strength; she tossed them aside like toys. Not even the gates could slow her, for with a blow they were thrown open so hard that they shatter off of their hinges. Kai raced after her, but as he came close she turned and he gasped. Hanna's eyes had become pale glowing disks of blue and his instincts roared at him to stay back. Without a word she turned away and raced into the passage that led underground, and Kai followed. They met almost no one in the passages, and the few they passed were knocked unconscious so quickly that Kai wondered if they had even been seen. They reached the dungeon unbelievably quickly, following the gut-wrenching sound of Kallman's voice. To Kai, it was as if time itself had sped up as he watched Hanna race to the bars and bend them out of her way. The other man in the cell had no time even to turn before she tossed him away and reached Kallman's side. Covered in the blood that seeped from the lashes of the Cat of Nine Tails, Kallman was hardly able to stand, though he still tried. Hanna did not have time to break the chains before the nine tails of the whip lashed around her ankle and sent her flying back into the wall. She landed on her feet and jerked away, spinning with a snarl. That was how the great Demon, Once Leader of all Hunters, Manikai, came face to face for the first time with the unpredictable Blue Woman, Hanna Waterchild. The whip snaked out again, and Hanna dodged it, tearing out a piece of the wall and throwing it at Manikai's head. He too dodged, and in an explosion of rock and dust the chunk Hanna had thrown left a crater in the wall. The whip lashed, wrapping around Hanna's arm. She jerked back, pulling the Fox toward her just as a shock of electric power smashed into her from behind and Jeanette entered. Kai ran into the cell, trying to pick the locks of the chains. "Brother?" Kallman rasped. "Hush!" Kai replied, trying to concentrate as he broke through the magical barriers one at a time. At last the chains fell away, but down the hall he could hear shouts and running feet. Hanna faced Manikai and Jeanette without fear, a whole force of her own. The darkness tried to invade her mind again but fell away like smoke, for even Manikai could not invade Hanna’s thoughts. She fought them both with dangerous speed and strength. Their words may as well have been spoken to a wall, for they had no affect on her. Like a dance and step they traded blow for blow, never ceasing and in constant movement, none gaining the upper hand.

::Jeanette realized their was no way to defeat her and took Manikai by the hand and teleported away.::
::Hanna felt relief surge through her and despite everything couldn't look at Kallman. Just hearing his howl had almost driven her over the edge. So instead she turned and focused her gaze on Kai.::
"We must heal him." spoke Hanna.
"I wish I could but if he doesn't get real help he'll die in less than a day's time. There's only one person I know who can heal him by then." replied Kai.
"Brother." gasped Kallman. "Don't"
"Kallman we have to." spoke Kai. Hanna was confused who were they talking about?
"It's the only way!" spoke Kai.
"No, I'd rather die." Hanna refused to hear this and slapped him.
"We are taking you to her, whomever she may be."
"You don't understand. This person, that Kai is talking about is not Daceria nor Forest." gasped Kallman.
"Then who in the world can save you? Those two have all the magic."
"Wrong." spoke Kallman. "Kai tell her."
"Our eldest sister studied healings for over thirty years and is a master with magic of the heart. She doesnt' have a scroll but this injury is bad enough to the point where the person who heals him will die. That is why the only one who will live through it is her. It's Aurora and Aurora hates Kallman for she believes he destroyed our clan." explained Kai.
"Kai, forgive me. I should have been more careful. Protect Hanna for me." smiled Kallman wrapping his bandanna around his little brother's neck. "Goodbye." Kallman fainted and didn't wake up until they found the mountain.

(They escaped the fortress of course. The moment Kallman fainted, Hanna went a bit berserk again--her eyes were like flat blue disks that glowed and her impossible strength returned, allowing them to plow through Demon Hunters like water. Hanna had thrown Kallman over her shoulder--which had to have been an odd picture. She is shorter than him--and carried him up the mountain. Despite anything Kai tried she spoke not a word, did not look at him or slow her pace, and it was as if he spoke to moving stone, until they reached Aurora's hall. Awesome bit of useless information--I had started to write more, but decided to wait until you replied. My idea was that they go to Aurora's too! Fancy that, huh?))
Hanna threw open the doors as if they weighed nothing and charged in, Kallman hanging limply over her shoulder. As if he had been waiting for her, Travis's blade was at her throat. Hanna turned her wide, alien eyes on him and grabbed the blade in one hand, twisting the steel as if it were tin and turning the point back on itself. They stared at each other, she unseeing, he stunned. Kai ran in as fast as he could, breathing hard and shoved in between them. "Travis! Get Aurora!" A very soft footstep fell behind them and Hanna turned slowly, eerily, to face the Snow Wolf. Their eyes met, frozen, one alien, one challenging--danger crackled in the air between them like sparks. "Aurora!" Kai shouted, running forward. "Aurora it's Kallman, he's hurt!" The lights in Hanna's eyes flickered and went out and she suddenly staggered forward. Before she could fall Travis was there beside her, holding her up and lowering Kallman gently to the floor. Hanna's legs gave way and she fell beside him, muttering something faint that sounded like a curse. She rolled onto her back with her eyes squeezed shut. When she opened them, she stared up at Aurora's face. "H-help him," she whispered shakily, unable to say more.

"Kai what in the world is going on?" asked Aurora crossing her arms.
"Well, it was the hunters and magic. Kallman has less than an hour to live sister." replied Kai.
"Oh, and you couldn't heal him? That's odd indeed. I'll take care of both of them. Please leave the room." demanded Aurora. Kai and Travis left the room but they were still concerned.
::Aurora stripped her brother to see the full impact of his injurys. She left his boxers on of course. If he was injured there, he would just have to deal with it. She kissed his cheek as she began the healing process very very carely. One wrong move and she'd die. The healing spell she used took all of a person's heart to peform. It didn't help she hated Kallman but deep within her, she loved him always. She studied herself beside him and gently wrapped his chest and legs in bandages after the healing was done.
::Then she removed Hanna's shirt and pants to see if she had any fatal injuries. Aurora noticed something odd, she was turning blue. Aurora had never seen anything quite like this and didn't know what to do. She simply healed all injuries and gave bandages where needed were her arm and leg. She then redressed her. Kallman could redress himself when he got up but Aurora didn't think it was a good idea to leave the two of them together in their underwear. Aurora smiled as she picked up Hanna and carried her to the springs where Hanna awoke as she was placed on her feet. She looked up at the wolf smiling at her.::
"He is fine, he will live. You need to rest, you may use my hotspring." smiled Aurora. Hanna looked at the water and then to her.
"Aurora, light of the snow wolves" began Hanna like she had something important to tell her.

"Aurora, Light of the Snow Wolves," Hanna began, shaking off the treachery of pain as prophecy rose within her. "Murder is set loose upon the land of your people. Death is risen with ashen wings to smite those you love with a heavy hand." Hanna touched Aurora's forehead with her fingertips, something flowing between them as cool as water. "The Nation thanks you for all you have done," she murmured. "In your darkest hour there will be a light for you, a gift given in gratitude. A life saved, a life restored, a heart shattered, mended with joy. You will not be forgotten." Hanna let her hand fall back to her side. Her eyes flickered back and forth from blue to hazel, a kaleidoscope that could no longer be controlled. Blue crept just a little farther up her arm unnoticed as she turned away, her long braid swinging. She walked toward the water of the springs and the water rose in a glittering fountain to greet her, speaking in a language as old as the sea. It enveloped her within itself and she dove, her wounds washing away as though they had been mere grime.

::Aurora just waved and left the room to go back to her brothers. Kallman was up and walking around in his bandages. Aurora went up to him and grabbed him by his ear.::
"Don't you realize you're hurt?" she asked him annoyed.
"I don't care. Where is Kai and where is Hanna!" demanded Kallman pulling away.
"If you don't sit down I'll force you. Now sit." demanded Aurora. Kallman knew better than to disobey an order from Aurora he sat in his chair as Kai walked in with new clothes for Kallman. A very nice looking blue tunic with yellow stripes at the sleeves and a pair of black dress pants. Kallman was confused.::
"I want you to wear these tonight for our party." explained Aurora.
"Party?' asked Kallman.
"Yes, a celebration that Hanna, Kai and yourself were not killed. Besides you need to dress up once in a while. Otherwise you'll never get a girlfriend." smirked Aurora.
"But how do you?" asked Kallman.
"Call it a hunch."

Hanna toweled herself dry and left the springs, whispering goodbye to the water as she went. Once outside, she followed her ears toward the voices and stepped in silently to join them.

::Kallman knew it was unwise to agrue with his sister. So he left the room and went to change. He threw off his muscle shirt and stared at the tunic.
"Like this thing will really get me any closer?" grunted Kallman as he threw it on and put the pants on. Then he looked in the mirror.
"I look like a clown. I much prefer my normal clothes." grunted Kallman as he prepared to walk out to meet Hanna.
"Hey Hanna are you feeling better now?" asked Aurora.
"Yes, thank you for your kindness." bowed Hanna.
"Hey I decided we're having a party tonight to celebrate that all of you are okay, will you be joining us?' smiled Aurora as Kallman walked out from his dressing room and Hanna looked straight at the wolf.

Hanna barely smiled and turned back to Aurora. Though she was incredibly tired, as if she had not slept in a hundred years, she nodded. "I would be honored to attend. Thank you." She bowed slightly and went to stand beside Kai. "Do you know...what happened?" she asked so that the others could not hear. "I wanted to ask you the same question." "I can't remember," she whispered lowly. "It is like a blank space in my mind. I've been trying for hours, but everything goes straight from speaking to you to waking up here." "You really don't know?" Kai replied, noticing for the first time her changing eyes. He took a step back and studied her. Now that he was looking for strange things, he noticed a pale line of blue skin over the top of her long gloves. "What is that?" he asked, reaching for her arm. "It's nothing." She pulled her sleeve down to cover it, frowning. "I should remember what happened," she muttered. "It isn't like me to forget."

"Ah glad. Kai go get dressed for the party. You tunic and pants are in the dressing room where Kallman just came out from. Hanna follow me." smiled Aurora taking her hand before she could argue.
::They entered a large room full of beautiful dresses. Aurora picked a light blue one for herself and looked to Hanna.
"You may pick anyone you choose." smiled Aurora.
"Why dress up?" asked Hanna. Seeing Kallman in a tunic had really surprised her and now she realized the snow wolf wanted her in dress.
"Because my dear, I like to forget about the past and move on to the future. I say that everyday because everyday I try to forget I lost the love of my life to the hunters. Please for me will you dress up and forget your worries for just a night?" asked Aurora.

Hanna sighed, but realizing that she probably owed Aurora her life, and certainly Kallman's, she started browsing among the beautiful cloth. She at last settled on rich green dress that moved like water and felt as light as cobwebs against her skin. She changed into it slowly, self-conscious of the way it clung to her hips, and followed Aurora out.

::Aurora stopped her at the door.::
"Stay here, I want to open the door for you." smiled Aurora as she hid herself and opened the door to reveal the ballroom declorated in beautiful colors. Baloons were everywhere. The table was set with a turkey in the center and plenty of food to go along with it and a snack table. The most amazing part was when Aurora opened the door for Hanna and she stepped into the room. Her blue skin faded and she felt almost normal for once.
::Kallman and Kai were standing side by side in their tunics with a pretty flower attached to it. Kallman felt so out of place. Kai smiled, he was happy to feel the relief of a nice party. Kallman glared at everything until he saw Hanna. His mouth about dropped to the floor. She was so beautiful. Kallman had never imagined just how beautiful she would look in a dress. The way it flowed around her curves made him want to pull her close and kiss her. Kallman knew that was a bad idea. Kallman knew his limits in his clown suit. His soul purpose was to look nice, act nice, and pretend to be the person he wasn't. He simply wasn't meant to be a gentlemen but he would try for Hanna.

Hanna glanced down at herself and met Kallman's eye, cocking an eyebrow as if to say "I know. Weird right?" He was only a little unnerved by her still shifting eyes, but by now he was used to Hanna's strangeness and soon thought little of it. She stood beside the two brothers, wearing a faint smile to hide her tiredness. "Aurora?" she asked, glancing at the clothes. "You too?" he replied, making her smile for real. Kai laughed. "She got all of us. How does this always happen?" Kallman shook his head. "Beats me."

"Come on guys stop acting like you're not enjoying it!" smiled Aurora pulling Kai into a dance leaving Hanna and Kallman at the dinner table.
::Kallman pulled out a chair for him and Hanna and offered it to her.::
"Thank you." smiled Hanna.
"I don't know why she does this." glared Kallman keeping his hands to himself. "I mean I look like a clown."
"I heard that." shouted Aurora from the dance floor. Kai felt dizzy as Aurora spinned him around the dance floor. Kai danced with her for he knew Aurora no longer had her mate to dance with. The hunters correction Keri and Jeanette had killed him and Aurora tried to hide her sadness but Kai could see it better than anyone else. He knew exactly what she was going through. The feeling of being lonely, the depression he knew it all to well. He glanced over to his brother who also knew the feeling. Kallman's story was sad and he never mentioned it to anyone besides him. The fact his mate had left him for another wolf. It had ripped Kallman's heart into pieces and yet he acted like the tough guy. The guy who didn't have the scars but if you looked deep into his eyes, you could see the hunger the wanting to be accepted, wanting to be loved. All of them had the feeling of lonileness and Aurora was trying to help Kallman and Kai cheer up. Kai sighed as he danced with Aurora. He thought come on brother ask her for a dance. Stop hiding who you are and tell her the TRUTH.::
