*Kero looks, as does Hopian*

What is it, father?

"There was once a race of reptilians... not dragon born, but others... who created cities that floated in the heavens. From them they sought to subjugate the emerging races, dragons included. That appears to be one salvaged from the depths of some ocean, for those which fell to the earth, have all been reduced to rubble long since."

*Kero shakes his head*

Old as I am, I have yet to hear of them...perhaps their species name would ring a bell, master...

Paladine shakes his head. "Sorry, Kerobian, I was young at the peak of their domination. We knew them only as the Creators. For it is they who gave birth to the elves, dwarves and human races, and no doubt some of the others as well. The dragon born were already in existence. Though in truth I sometimes wonder if they indeed created or did they merely modify, things and people the All-Father all ready had set into motion. A savage brutal race who saw all things as being beneath them. The elves were the first born... then the dwarves... both of which were long lived and stubbornly independent, always seeking to win their way free. Man came last, in response I suspect to the Elven conspiracy to over throw their masters. Wasn't a good substitute I fear. Early man was little more than a beast."

*Kero nods*

Makes sense that Takhisis would take that as her throne...so what say you, brother, father? Shall we go greet my aunt?
PostPosted: Wed Sep 02, 2009 5:38 pm

Paladine is already in motion flying high in order to get a clearer view of the structure from above.

*Suddenly...he finds he is there, along with Kero and Hopian*

Master of space, father...doncha know?

As Paladine had feared, the fortress is swarming with draconians, true born and otherwise, mostly from the chromatic races, and something troubles him about how they are moving.

"Kero, use your sight. Tell me she hasn't done the same to her own."

*Kero looks...and she has, sure enough...he realys this information to his father...then tells him to relay a message to all the fighters...shadow and otherwise...save for the draconians*

Tell them to cover their ears...or else...

Paladine nods and does as instructed. he waits for a bit then nods at the voidmage. "I have done as you asked... I cannot guarantee that everyone will listen, but the warning has been sent."

*Hopian looks at Kero, his fingers stuffed into his own ears, which he has wrapped with his tail. Kero opens his mouth...and screams....a cry so unearthly, so terrifying, that even Paladine has to clutch his head in pain, as every illusion he holds is shattered...until Kero and Hopian stuff themselves into his ears, relieveing him...below, the draconians are either shaking their heads as they recover from the worms...or keeling over, dead as dogs...*

A mixed group of dragons, relatively few in number, begin flying out of the fortress, not in attack formations, but fleeing for their lives, while the lesser draconians, those which have been warped in the egg, mill about in confusion. The fortress lurches to a halt, hovers for a brief second in place, then plummets down to the surface of the plains below it.

*As it falls, and both armies move out of the way, Kero and Hopian extract themselves, and Kero nods*

Now...what say we pay my aunt a visit, pop?
PostPosted: Wed Sep 02, 2009 6:21 pm

"Yes, let's..." says Paladine with a wide toothy grin. "Why I haven't seen my sister in ages. Surely I should at least say hello, ere she goes back home." The last is growled through clenched teeth.

*Kero nods, leading the way down into the castle, the aura that surrounds him warding off the confused draconians*
