Shar smiles. "Incisions need to be kept clean and your bodily functions were sort of on automatic. Fur that is encrusted with excretions and whatnot doesn't allow for proper healing and may lead to an infection. And with your luck these days... I'd say infection was kind of high on the list."

Tam shakes his head with a sigh. "I was waiting to see Mica when I heard Kero crying. He's kind of distinctive and I knew something was very very wrong. I... I wish I hadn't been so hasty, but someday I'll explain why I left. I'm still unsure what happened, but I honestly thoguht a certain event had happened and I was no longer needed." He looks down at the cub and holds him close. "Something tells me, letting go is probably going to be the hardest thing I'll ever have to do when the time does come."
